  1. It changes every week with Chelsea slipping up at Palace and couldn't have happened any sweeter with Terry scoring an own goal. Mourinho is still saying they cant win it, although they still can but need City to slip up somewhere - Anfield is possible and then Chelsea win at Anfield. Its City's to lose now but if Liverpool win today v Spurs they are right in it, and I just don't want to see them win it.
  2. Shiels behind Clark would be an option for me.
  3. Yeah but do you think Ally could do that in the first season. We will be back in the long term to remain the most successful club but I am not so sure Ally can do it especially in the first year back.
  4. Sounds a bizarre injury to get and hope he recovers very well. I look out for his performance every week. He was the one player I felt the club should never have denied a move as believe he is in the top 5 keepers in Britain and felt he could have got a bigger club but well don't Steve Bruce for recognising a top keeper. Would be great to see him back at Ibrox. But he'd be the only one out of the rebels who left.
  5. They'd up end turning on each other after 5 minutes.
  6. I like Allys ambition but I think all realistic Rangers fans would settle for consolidation and 2nd place in our first year back especially with what fans are reporting back on a weekly basis. Anything more is a bonus and excellent. If we had set out a new footballing philosophy and were playing terrific stuff then yes we could be challenging.
  7. So wrong on so many levels. All what is wrong with society today - it shouldn't even open up a debate if McKay played for Celtic, he didn't reach a level to worry anyone. If he is the right man he is the right man. What would you say to any resentment Aberdeen fan right now about having an ex 'hun' in their job. Please never post again about Celtic fans being wrong because I'll bring your first post up. My English team is West Ham, I schooled in England and went to Upton park every week, I applauded Di Canio....in your eyes I probably shouldn't be allowed into Ibrox. If only certain men are allowed in, how you justify McCoist being there right now if there is someone better. And as for standards, supercooper and selmy have been slated all season on here for expecting better than we currently have....where is your support for them? There is a whiff of Coffee here, have a smell and I hope you reach the 21st century soon.
  8. I think his stock is as high as anyone right now. Barca has even been mentioned.
  9. Martin Tyler's words were "A slip by O'Neil, and there's Laudrup......." as he buried it low into the bottom corner. That was the Van vossen miss game which also saw Gazza miss a pen and Goram save Van Hooijdonks last minute pen.
  10. You do realise its 2014 do you? So rather than rise above someones past footballing career which isn't even bad you'd rather have mediocrity at your own club for life. Strange one but each to their own.
  11. Would have been nice to see a bigger scoreline. How does Moyes expect to win a game with such a defensive team and then only 3 forward player. He is getting a bit like McLeish. As for Arsenal, shocking. As I said the other day, Everton could pip them to 4th, its in the Evertons hands now and the way Martinez has played football this season I wouldn't mind seeing them get into the CL.
  12. I think Davies would bore us to tears. He may well be slightly better than Ally but I would be hoping for someone far more adventurous. He did a good job at Derby one year and has had flashes of good moments at Forest. Id have Jimmy Calderwood all day long ahead of Davies but even JC isn't high up on the list. Malky MacKay would be terrific and top my choice at the moment.
  13. Agreed, and Ally himself said he would. With the league wrapped up and 2 cups to go for we should have had a few players having a rest in this game. We've got Arbroath away next which will be a similar game to this, I hope we rest a few especially for the Utd game 2 weeks after. I would say we could cope for the Raith game but I want to see our strongest line up against Utd.
  14. I cant rule them out even though they concede they are capable of scoring more than the opposition. If they beat Chelsea and City at home then they have a great chance. They are the in form team and will be wanting it more than the other 2. City are in the driving seat as they just need to win 2 of their 3 games in hand but still have trips to Old Trafford, Emirates and Anfield. I hope it goes to the wire.
  15. 3 horse race now for the title. Liverpool keep winning and their 2 home games v Chelsea and City will decide where it goes. Can see Everton sneaking into the top 4. If they win their game in hand (home to Palace) and beat Arsenal at home then they have a great chance.
  16. Embarrassing mate. Just a mess. He is gone from best to worst. He just cant do big games. (Liverpool away, Man City away, this.....
  17. Embarrassing for Arsenal. Look like a 4th division team. For all the hype, 1000 games, he is going to be remembered for being a failure in the last 9 years. No strikers!!! Handed it to Mourihno with his failures. Time up for Wenger unless he signs 2 from Benezma, Costa, Cavali and Morata. And a new defender.
  18. Agreed, Chelsea were probably wanting Man Utd. After that they would have wanted PSG or Dortmund. Dortmund not having a good season but they still shouldn't be taken lightly.
  19. Ian Wright was there for about 2 seasons under Wenger is I thought was a cracking striker. Selmy - Ljungburg could easily play off the front man, he used to drift inside and land in those positions for half his goals. Wiltord and Kanu - 2 more excellent strikers.
  20. Martin Keowns team allowing players who were there before Wenger: ______________________Seaman__________________ Dixon_________Adams______Campbell_____Cole Pires________Vieira__________Petit______Overmars _______________Henry_____Bergkamp____________ Id go: ______________________Seaman__________________ Dixon_________Adams______Campbell____Winterburn Ljungberg________Vieira__________Fabregas______Pires _______________Henry_____Bergkamp____________
  21. Fair play to him getting 1000 games, he was wonderful for the English game in his first 10 years but others have caught up due to money. Hopefully he pulls off a huge victory tomorrow winning at Chelsea, its about time he beat Jose.
  22. On the eve of his 1000th game Alan Smith picked his best Wenger XI excluding players that were at Arsenal before he arrived - meaning likes of Seaman, Adams , Parlour and Bergkamp cant be picked. He went: _____________________Lehmann_____________________ Sagna_________Campbell____Koscielny_______Cole Walcott_______Vieira_____Fabregas_________Pires _________________Henry____Van Persie________ Im going: ___________________Szecezny_____________________ Lauren_______Campbell____Toure_________Cole Walcott_____Vieira_______Fabregas______Pires ________________Ljungberg___________________ _______________________Henry________________ RVP was a one season wonder while Ljungberg was class for years. And Walcott has offered more than RVP also so gets in the team. Hard to leave out Anelka and Overmars but Pires gave that bit extra on the left and Ljungberg has to make it.
  23. Barcelona v Atletico Madrid Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund PSG v Chelsea Man Utd v Bayern Munich Good draw, but with these 8 teams the draw was going to be good whoever came out the hat versus anyone. I guess the fat cat money men have their dream this season. I fancy Real and Bayern strongly, in fact I hope Bayern give Man Utd a lesson. The other 2 are tough, probably fancy Barca but PSG v Chelsea is a toss of a coin.
  24. And a more attractive one than the real top flight. Having 16 teams makes the difference.
  25. Based on trophies won of course it would be. We'd be at 3 out 4 (so long as we win both Ramsdens and Scottish Cup), Celtic would have 1 out 4. If Celtic were in our shoes does anyone think they would get near full houses and win the Scottish cup? In the early to mid 90s they were mid table SPL and only won one cup between 1989 and 1995.
