I feel Little has been a bit unlucky this season. I did watch a lot of our games last season and thought he was one of the top 3 standouts. This season I haven't seen much action at all but Little hasn't featured as much. A capable player for our squad in the next 2 seasons, I hope we can work a deal out.

He's one of the best keepers as well. About 2 seasons ago he had save of the season from an Everton shot, came clean of his hands and a pen wasn't given.
-
Yeah but its the SPFL and Doncaster we're talking about, they fear losing big clubs on a yearly basis in the top flight.

An extremely daft comment and an insult to Best, Charlton, Law, Robson, Giggs, Cantona, Schmeichel, Keane, Scholes, Ronaldo and Rooney along a few others.

I thought there was a statement last month saying points wont be deducted in future for teams entering admin?? Of course we are different to the others.

There has been a few like Gayle, Kyle, Maniero and Jeffers but Lafferty had a bit of talent and was a costly signing. It was his off the field stuff that let hi down the most. He got backed by the club and had numerous chances, then to walk away leaves it bitter. I don't buy that agents are all to blame, surely families and friends can help with advice and players do have a mind of their own.

Dave King blasts Rangers chief executive Graham Wallace
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I think King is being clever. If he is coming in then he does so on his own terms and has full control. I like the fact he isn't a gofer and is his own person. But I do wonder why he hasn't grabbed his chance by now. I just have the bad feeling this will roll and roll until we are near the top flight again and there is a bit of value coming back to the club. I also don't think we've herd the last from Green for some reason.- 72 replies

He will be in big trouble, a likely 10 match ban. Newcastle already hit him with a 100k fine. It wasn't much of a headbutt at all but its the conduct which is worrying considering he has already punish a linesman and had a go at Pelligrini this season. The guy is a Mr nice man infront of the cameras but obviously is too hot headed. What was Newcastle thinking giving him an 8 year deal. Had he been on a shorter contract he'd have been sacked for this. I can still see him leaving over this.

Hodgson should be begging Terry to come out of retirement. Not because he is that good but because the rest are just average to good at best. Players like Curtis Davies at Hull are unlucky as he looks a good player who is likely to miss out. I think Jagielka, Cahill and Lescott should be on the plane but Jones and Smalling have been awful. How Cleverly gets in the squad ahead of Gareth Barry is a bizarre one. Hodgson seems to be another FA yes man and doesn't pick players on form.

16500 for 36000 ST holders and RSC's.... The phone lines wont cope.

I said the other week Im looking forward to seeing him in the WC to see if he can actually play.

The only one I recognise is Broon. Like Gav I think its not bad, just not keen on the buttons. If it was Scotland navy blue replacing either the yellow of pink then it would be much better.

5 years at 300k per week. Fair play to him but silly from Man Utd. IMO he has peaked. Some players peak earlier in their careers than others and I can only see Rooney starting to wind down now. Change of shift in power...Man Utd wont win the league in the next 5 years.

Scotland squad for the friendly with Poland
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Its a decent squad actually but its a pointless match so no Wallace is good for us. Considering we still have likes of Boyd on the fringes then all bodes well for Euro 2016 qualification. The draw is tomorrow. Pot 1: Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, England, Portugal, Greece, Russia, Bosnia-Hercegovina. Pot 2: Ukraine, Croatia, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Republic of Ireland. Pot 3: Serbia, Turkey, Slovenia, Israel, Norway, Slovakia, Romania, Austria, Poland. Pot 4: Montenegro, Armenia, Scotland, Finland, Latvia, Wales, Bulgaria, Estonia, Belarus. Pot 5: Iceland, Northern Ireland, Albania, Lithuania, Moldova, FYR Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Cyprus. Pot 6: Luxembourg, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Faroe Islands, Malta, Andorra, San Marino, Gibraltar. -
Chaps, lets make one thing clear - I was far from raising any criticism against the OP and any criticism would have been silly. I started this theme of match previews a few years ago and used to do it on a weekly basis until others joined in - so I was well open to my own criticism. My point was when I open these threads - being away and not getting to see games I look forward to reading about team news etc. That's all. And I more than anyone know that cant always be given until maybe last minute. Apologies if that came over wrongly. I didn't mean it to be at all. Amms - you are a talented writer hands down. Its great to have your likes around on here.

Great bit of writing - granted - nobody can deny that. But as for a match preview - sorry its not a preview for me.

Carbon copy of Tuesday night. Down to 10 men and changes the occasion. Away team scores in 54th and 89th minute (Barca scored in same times). But Arsenal were the better side first 30 mins and had they stayed to 11 men would have probably got a result. Mesut Ozil - I think he would crawl back to Madrid right now, looks lost and unhappy. Wenger should have subbed him, now Santo Cazorla will be wondering what has he got to do. Not buying Berbatov in January was silly, he'd have made the difference in a few games recently IMO. Draxler should have been scooped aswell but Podolski should be getting more game time. Cant see anything other than Bayern in the last 8.

Petition: Ensure neutral venues for the 2014 Scottish Cup Semi Finals
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Unbelievable. If Celtic were still in the cup there is no way this petition would have been seen. Whilst I agree that semi finals and finals should be at a neutral ground it has to be decided at the start of the tournament not when Rangers are 90 minutes and Albion Rovers away from reaching a semi. -
If that's the worst Barcelona team in many many years then it doesn't say much for the Premier league. It wasn't a great game but Barca were certainly more comfortable in possession when it was 11 v 11. Mixed opinions on Talksport earlier saying some thought Man City were good early on but others plus myself think Barca were well in control. The 65% possession says it all. Toure never got in the game yet he is one of the best players in England. It just shows the gap between Englands top teams and European top sides. Xavi, Iniesta and Fabregas just control games and none of them are physically strong. I don't think it was a penalty, first contact was made just outside the box but it was a defo foul and red card. The 2nd goal has almost killed the tie. At 1-0 you'd think Man City might still have half a chance with Aguero back but surely Barca wont throw this away.

Another bad Saturday, nothing up. Today, a wee tenner on St Johnstone 12/1 to win at Celtic - someone has to beat them.

Id say the league cup is theirs, they wont want a repeat of losing to the underdog (Wigan last year) again. They would be favourites for the FA cup and if they win their game in hand in the league they are top again. The CL is a different dilemma. Barca will be a right test. If they go through there then they have to be contenders. In Kompany, Toure and Aguero they have 3 world class players in the spine of the team. Add Silva, Nasri and Negredo then they are capable of winning it. 2 weeks ago Id have had a bet on them winning all 4 but now I see them doing a double. Premier League and League Cup. I think they will fall short in the CL and FA cup.
