  1. Look at that pest Doncaster in the corner. Scottish football has went so far backwards the 2nd tier is better than the top tier.
  2. Championship will be better than the Premiership. I wonder what the TV deal is. It couldn't have happened any sweeter for clowns like Doncaster.
  3. Pretty sure the Inverness owners will be having a wry smile at the moment. Gosh Im glad we haven't got Butcher as a manager.
  4. Its great to have different views, for me Giggs does down as Man Utd best ever. I thought he was terrific even up to the last game he came on against Hull. He certainly gets in my all time Premier League team. When you talk about over rated then that's where Beckham can come into it.
  5. Im having a bouncy......
  6. Rangers Hearts ad Hibs in 1 league.....hoofing
  7. Didn't see that coming.....that's a reason to continue drinking....
  8. I agree with SBS we couldn't afford Lampards phone bill never mind wages. He'd have been realistic in the late 90s. He'd have only joined via sentimental reasons and would have been paid 5k a week, yet he will go to the MLS and get that a day and then some.
  9. :laugh2: Choked on my breakfast reading that.
  10. Disappointed for Atletico, to come so close. But they won La Liga.
  11. Aye but we wouldn't have won anything without Jose as the boss right!? Lampard might have been a realistic target not so long ago. He cant be put into the same bracket as Messi and Buffon - 2 of the best the world has seen on their positions
  12. Lampard and Hemdani over Davis and Ferguson everyday of the week. Ferguson ruined Hemdani practically tackling him off the ball. Davis on the right and Weiss on the left with Lampard and Hemdani in the middle, Prso and Cousin upfront - now that would have won the UEFA cup hands down.
  13. Lampard and the man in your avator, now that would have a been a refreshing centre midfield.
  14. I wouldn't have taken him to the WC if I was Hodgson simply because you aren't going to get 3 x 90 minutes out of him but I still think he would be a terrific squad player for Chelsea next season to come off the bench and nick a goal or 2. I also thought he put in a cracking shift against Liverpool at Anfield.
  15. I was going to have a bet yesterday that Moyes would be their next manager. Its perfect timing for him to get away from the media in England and have 2 years getting his confidence back in a 1 team league. But if he does go there gosh they will be even more ugly to watch.
  16. He hasn't been released, they are just delaying talks until after the world cup. But if he does leave he is a banker for the MLS to make a fortune.
  17. I know Scotland isn't exactly first choice for some to play for but surely he'd take that rather than Somalia.
  18. Hoping for Atletico to do the double, will have a wee bet on them to lift the trophy. Real have put all the eggs into the CL basket and are hot favourites.
  19. Toni Kroos and Luke Shaw are supposed to be done deals and Van Gaal will be persuading Robben at the Dutch WC camp. That's 3 players who will make them much stronger already. But they would still need another centre half and midfielder after that.
  20. I wouldn't be surprised to see David Moyes there next season. It will give him a break away from the English media and he will get titles on his CV. Id be happy if they take Owen Coyle or Larsson, Coyle is awful and Larsson is unproven, both would struggle in Europe.
  21. The pattern of Scottish players failing in Englands lower leagues is continuing. Its shows how far back we are going. 15 years ago we'd have a national team full of English top flight players: Sullivan, Weir, Hendry, Calderwood, Collins, McAllister, Hutchinson all mixing with the best from the OF. Now players are propping up at Exeter and Bristol Rovers, makes you wonder if its worth while going down south now....obviously its a money thing.
  22. Got to agree with SBS here, Van Gaal has had some success but also had a few poor jobs. He isn't the guaranteed success that some Man Utd fans think he will be. Also the Rooney one will be interesting, I think Rooney has peaked and will only go downhill as he reaches 30.
  23. Officially appoint Van Gaal, with Giggs as assistant, and the latter retiring from playing. Ryan Giggs has to go down as one of the best players of all time in the English league and probably goes ahead of Charlton and Best as Utds best ever player. Van Gaal should improve Man Utd from last season but I think he'd have done a better job bringing his own team in and think having Giggs as No.2 has been pushed onto him. But they have to make some real signings in the transfer market as that squad is very average.
  24. Jeez, didn't see that result over the weekend. That is a surprise, I expected Dunfermline to go up after drawing 1-1 in the first leg. That's a bit of a financial kick-in for them missing out on big gates next season v Rangers, Hearts, Raith and Falkirk.
