  1. Didn't predict USA would win that one, even had a flutter on a draw while they were 1-0 up and thought I scooped until they nicked the winner. Im underscoring in this big time. Tournament is averaging 2.75 goals per game at the moment but I think that will settle down in the 2nd matches.
  2. Hemmings actually went up a league which in theory is a higher level and proved it. He also played in more difficult circumstances around worse players and did better.
  3. See your point about him being a good freebie but every striker to play under McCoist dipped in form and never seemed to improve. Boyd may be the winner if he doesn't come back. I feel sorry for Nicky Clark and Andy Little. I thought the latter had a good season in Div 3 and could have improved and been a decent squad player. Clark hasn't got out the starting blocks yet, Daly went downhill and Hemmings scores on a weekly basis. You'd think having the best goalscorer in the last 30 years coaching them they could start to finish more. yet it was similar with McLeish, top top defender I his playing days but didn't improve centre halves.
  4. Not surprised to see Charles Green trying to come back on the scene but it wont happen. Somebody somewhere must know what his role is for sure behind the scenes. Agree with Hildy above, constructive solutions is the way forward yet I don't believe that a number of fans out there have already wont have any good ideas, with the numbers we have there will be some clever bears out there. Im still waiting for the headline DK takes over though, he must be one person with a plan in place but the silence is deafening again.
  5. Messi....how about that goal. Not as good as 2 Holland goals but certainly one which will let the shackles off him now. Bosnia & Herz did well, they are a good side and Id back them to win their next 2 games. Amount of games on a silly o clock for me is taking its toll though, will give the first 2 tonight a miss and get up for Germany v Portugal.
  6. Too many goals going in, im losing out by 1 goal most games.
  7. France didn't score a goal in 2002 as defending champs, Spain have maybe scored but unless they wake up Chile will gub them aswell.
  8. What exactly did people see in Ferguson. As much as I don't like Lambert he was twice the player Ferguson was so he wasn't the best Scottish player in the last 20 years at all. Neil McCann was also better. He is a bully and control freak.
  9. Easy.....they are a cracking team.
  10. So long as it keeps him from re-signing for us....
  11. Big support from the Chileans....cracking anthem.
  12. Right come on Chile...backed as my dark horse. Cant surely lose to a country who don't even call the game football.
  13. 3 draws and no wins puts him top??? Talk about parking the bus
  14. If Chile go give the aussies a doing then this group could be over after 1 round of games. Absolute shocking from Spain, I reckon Scotland could have beaten them tonight.
  15. Torres bawahahha
  16. Spain don't even look interested....there will be a national enquiry there tonight. awesome from the Dutch though
  17. Spain oooot unless they wake up for the next 2 games
  18. Goal of the tournament
  19. Ze Germans will sort the Dutch out though.
  20. Would love to see the odds on the Dutch winning this now..28/1 before a ball was kicked
  21. Beginning to dislike Man Utd more already
  22. Bastard...that would have made a game of it
  23. Canr believe this, I back Holland and Euro 12, 08, and WC 2010 and 2006....didn't even think about touching them this year.
  24. When we are talking world class players, Robben should have been mentioned....capable of winning this tournament
  25. I bet heavily on them but they lost their first game at the last world cup also
