[PUBLISHED] The 120 Day Review thread - all updates and discussion here
Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Staggering news. Just drafted over the 20 pages but it seems there is more questions than answers from this report. Where on earth can 67 million go. That makes the great train robbery look poor. -
The First Annual Gersnet Dinner (The Bears Picnic)
Gribz replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
Have a good day chaps. Had it been next month Id have came along and stood my hand. -
That's welcoming news as Calderwood has good knowledge of the Dutch Market. However the problem is Calderwood could recommend the next Bergkamp / Guillit / De Boer etc but if they come and are not trained and coached properly then they wont perform. They wont fit in playing dire football, then will be called flops and Calderwood will be a useless scout. Our structure needs changed on the playing side also from top to bottom. We had a chance to do this at the start of last season and even this season to put in a good footballing plan and take on promising 'footballers'. Instead we are doing it the ugly way and are now going into a league next season not confident of beating Raith, Falkirk and Hearts reserves.

Very sad news and 65 is still not exactly an old age. I cant remember Jardine playing for Rangers and only remember him vaguely at Hearts.

McCoist has shown he knows how to make players go backwards in careers so all Trevor Steven' good work would be undone. As it stands I wouldn't say no to McCall.

If its Nando's 1 for 1 leaflets then it shouldn't be a problem finding volunteers.

A good read. The only thing is the Man Utd players have only just come in the door and will be there for 4 matches before a world class manager takes over. Whether he keeps any of the ex players on his coaching staff is yet to be seen. Any of the players mentioned above would be a decent shout to have a role at Ibrox but they would be playing under possibly the worst tactical manager we've ever seen so I don't know how they could fit in.

Champions to 7th isn't acceptable and from Man Utds perspective top 4 is a must, I am not saying they deserve it but the owners would demand it. I had a sneaky feeling yesterday Mourinho would be in the running and I fancy it to be him even more so now.

Yeah a Man City or Liverpool museum! Will be interesting to see how the players perform on Saturday v Norwich under Giggs, I can see a huge reaction and the awakening of the beast and they will win by a good few.
-
Newcastle or Tottenham are possibilities or a club like Norwich if they stay up.

Really! Worried about Hibs! A team Pat Fenlon destroyed who have been awful this season.

There is a huge difference between Fergusons first few years and why he wasn't sacked compared to Moyes. Utd in the 80s hadn't won the league for 26 years and had a drinking culture around the club with no future. What Ferguson set out to do was always doing to take 5 years and once he got that first FA cup and Cup Winners cup they just took off from there. Moyes took over a team that still won the league regardless if its Man Utd worst squad in 20 years and should have done better. Top 4 should have been minimum. Moyes will only get 1 years pay off for not securing European football. I think they way he lost the dressing room is whats doing it and I cant see a way back. I wonder if Mourinho will fancy it, rumours he isn't getting on with Abramovic again. At least he is proven. Other than that it will be one from: Klopp Guardiola Van Gaal De Boer

Hendry wasn't a Gers great but was a awesome defender. I suppose F De Boer hits the same.

Seen many threads with best teams, we've had so many good players we could name 2 teams. Klos was my fave keeper before anyone asks and Robertson would be in my first XI all day long. ________________________Goram_____________________________ Hutton__________Cuellar_______Hendry_____________Numan ____________________Van Bronkhurst_____________________ Walters_________________De Boer_________________McCann _________________Prso________Hateley___________________

We should look into title fixing. I hope Norwich win today. Jose's first defeat at home couldn't have come at a worse time.

They did Super Caley versus the Super Sheep. All 2190 turned up. They need to rewrite the game from scratch before they make any game appealing. Rangers are the only show in town

Boyd makes Celtic-dominated PFA award shortlist
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
I could probably have been nominated the standard was so bizarre. -
Credit where credit due and criticism where criticism is due. Footballers don't have average Joe Punter jobs and are handsome paid and in a spotlight.... I don't ever think sane people who are criticising are directing it personal anyway and mainly want improvement if anything else. But another who has went downhill / under performed under McCoist.

Our season is over after the last 2 games. He should have utilised the squad when it mattered. Yes going unbeaten in the league is something to play for but once the title was wrapped up a few key players should have been rested while bringing 1 or 2 of the U20s in for experience. It has to be said Ally is failing on many levels.
-
And City have blown their title chance, drawing with Sunderland at home!! Now they are relying on Liverpool to lose a match with Chelsea also having to drop points somewhere while winning all their games. All of a sudden its also in Chelsea's hands. That game a week on sunday at Anfield becomes a belter if neither loses this weekend.

Manchester City to be made to pay a high price.........
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
That is why FIFA and UEFA wont ban these clubs from the CL, once that happens it will trigger a break away which would start a new European league set up.- 6 replies

Kyle must be the only player who makes Boyd look quick. Id have Rothen back ahead of them. Boyd has scored a few goals for a poor Kilmarnock team in a poor league, but its taken him until he is 30 to realise what being a professional is. None of the OP list should be touched. We are just going down a horrible path and will end up on these below average players on 2-3 years deals. How we going to challenge with below average players and a coaching team who make players even worse when they sign for Rangers. At that rate we'd be fighting relegation in the top flight.

Manchester City to be made to pay a high price.........
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
A fine isn't going to hit Man City when the cash is easily there to pay it. If FIFA are serious about bringing this in then the cost should be transfer embargos or no Champions league but that then hits FIFA and its sponsors in the pocket so they wont go for it. Getting a shame how football is being ruined by money. The FA cup final - Arsenal and Hull getting 25000 tickets each but 40000 goes to other parties, this is after Arsenal took 49000 to the semi.- 6 replies
