Wouldn't disagree with that, just a few glimpse of quality on occasion. Advocaats better signings - Mols, Van Bronkhurst and Klos. Tugay and Reyna were also class acts and unheard of. Klos may not have been signed had Charbonnier not got injured.

Summer transfer window: Official ins/outs and transfer rumours
Gribz replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Financially its a shame that Cardiff could blow us out the water. However if Cowie wants to continue his career for trophies and play for the biggest club in his country then he may opt for the move to ibrox. -

I didn't get round to doing any last season as I didn't get to see any games which isn't any use. But I intend in watching more this season if I can get coverage. So I will get involved once the season is underway, and I will step in for any last minute previews when required but I wont put my name on the list until season is up and running.- 238 replies

Summer transfer window: Official ins/outs and transfer rumours
Gribz replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Cowie would be a decent signing and would probably take the Championship by storm but with the trend of players that go down hill under McCoist he may end up looking average. But competition for places is only a good thing and Ally cant be scared to drop players this season. If he has Cowie, Black, Law, Hutton and Macleod all fighting for centre midfield places then he has to play the best 2-3 players by form. -
Was on the radio yesterday that he was on his way to Ibrox but told his dad to turn the car around as he wanted to concentrate on Tennis. Have seen him do some silky skills with the tennis ball so obviously had a bit of talent. TBH id rather have him at centre half than McCulloch next season

A few quarter finals are looking tasty. Brazil v Colombia should be cracking as will France v Germany.

Jumped from 2nd bottom to 6th in 4 games. If only I didnt forget the last round of group games Id be top.

Not sure if Boyd would be a factor for many fans. Perhaps the competitive league this season is a more attractive point...it would be for me anyway if I was buying.

Lafferty had a bit of potential but more often than not played the donkey off the park while we paid his wages. He will probably regret how things worked out at Ibrox as he gets older and matures.

Rangers 16/1 to go through Championship season unbeaten
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Paterson and Walker? Never heard of them. I thought they basically had an U21 team. Neilson will have Levein in his ear 24/7. We should play 0-4-6 formation in the first game and match them man for man. -

Not for me. They would have to double the odds before id touch it. Would say Hibs should be shorter odds than Hearts, they had the better team, they only had a couple of duds running them in Fenlon and Butcher last season hence their downfall in the 2nd half of the season. -
Feel sorry for Mexico, just couldn't hang on for a further few minutes. To lose 1 and see it into extra time would been ok but to lose a 2nd. That will be the Dutch into the Semi finals, they will easily get past Greece or Costa Rica
-
It was a catch22. We started Division 3 with a squad of 6 first teamers. So it was either player the U21's or sign players with experience.
-
Needed that correct score today to get back in it after missing 13 games. Unlucky Chile, I fancied them to get past Brazil on pens but not to be. I cant see Brazil winning when they come up against a top team, Colombia will give them a game.
-
I agree but we were in a catch22 situation where we HAD to get promotion. Unfortunately Ally went for it the safe but ugly way rather than thinking long term. My fear was ending up with average SPL players on long term contracts when we get back to the top tier. But nobody could envisage the challenge we've got this season, nobody would have thought Hibs and Hearts would be in the 2nd tier at the same time. Therefore having SPL experience will be quite important this season and prepare us for next.

Suarez - Talent to burn but behaves like an animal.
Gribz replied to TheWee BlueDevil's topic in General Football Chat
Liverpool's stance will be interesting. They are spending a bit of cash to compete in the CL this season and having Suarez no doubt will make them stronger so they have to decide if they are going to cash in on him while he is at his peak and use the money to get a few more players or do they keep him and become title contenders. There was the rumour Barca are ready to offer Pedro and Sanchez plus cash for him, Id bite their hand off for that if I was Rodgers.- 54 replies

Accommodation around Derby shouldn't be a problem. If I was going Id stay in Nottingham (far better nightout) and take the train / bus through from there, its only about 20 minutes.
-
I said a few times, if he is played in his proper position he could get better as his career goes on and improve going up the leagues.
-
Overall I still think the weak link in the squad is defence as it doesn't seem to have a settled look to it yet. McCulloch surely cant be first choice this season, he could get ripped apart against full timers. Id like to see Gasparato (sp) get a chance. Going forward from midfield we have good options and a bit of depth with Templeton, Shiels (if he gets himself fit), Macleod, McKay and Aird. And hopefully Law improves this season along with Peralta.

Yep, agreed, he would probably find his A game again playing for us and would be as much attacking option on the right that we have. Boyd will score goals but so would Miller, Daly (if he finds his early form) and Clark if he gets a run.
