Another good pay day for Queens Park as that will mean a big away support at Hampden although it has to be rescheduled. Glamorous ties in the cup - Hibs at home in the Petrofac Cup and a trip to Hampden in the League Cup. But lets see if Ally can improve his cup record first.

Agreed, I was having a wee bounce every Argentina pen that went in and a bigger bounce when the keeper saved two. From day 1 I had an excel predictor and had an Argentina v Germany final. Silly not to bet it in the bookies. Im sticking with Argentina to win it although would say Germany have to be favourites.
-
Jose Mourinho must be rolling on the floor. Tonights game is tough. Almost 2 one man teams Messi v Robben. Both top world class players.
-
I got Hearts right in the league so Im on level par with you at the moment.
-
They did that to England and Argentina in South Africa with 4-1 and 4-0 wins then Italy found them out, Argentina and Holland are capable of doing the same but Germany have to be favourites. Ozil should have made it 8-0 before the Brazilian consolation. Germany v Holland would be some final but I still hope the Argee's win it.
-
Brazil come up against their first real opponent and get shown up. Mexico and Chile were both better than them. Ze Germans were my original pick but I opted for Argentina due to it being in South America. The final will be a lot closer but the belief installed in Germany now will be incredible.

Theres a surprise!!! Rangers, Hibs, Hearts all on the box twice in the first week of the season.
-
Roger that, thanks mate. Strange about the 13 games I missed, Im sure I put a scores in a few of them.
-
When you put your predications in and click save is there not supposed to be a tick that comes up or the box turn yellow? When I put in a score for the Brazil v Germany game nothing happened but when I changed the score to something else a tick came up and boxes went yellow? This seemed to happen earlier which is why I have only played 47 games rather than 60.

Holland were very much in command with hitting the bar and post and a few sitters, but Costa Rica should have had a penalty late on. And Im sure I wasn't the only one jumping off the sofa hoping they would snatch it in extra time with that solo. That's some call by Van Gaal to make a keeper switch, bit of a kick in the nuts for his No.1 but I like to see managers have the balls to make changes at anytime in a game, he will be entertaining for Man Utd next season if nothing else. Thought Krul was an ass putting the Costa Rican players off, its all part of the game but I don't like to see it. Well done to Costa Rica for a good world cup, to win Group D alone was their achievement. Whatever the final now should be great but 2 rivals going at it would be the better match - Holland v Germany or Brazil v Argentina.

Hearts in the league in the first game, Hibs v Hearts week 2, Rangers v Hibs first round of this cup.....the requirement for TV income must be incredible.

Disappointing game, Argentina didn't look threatened and are crawling through games and doing enough, they could still peak yet. If Holland get through and play at pace they could get at Argentina. Belgium were poor and I expected a lot more, they went out on a bit of a whimper, they should have given it a real go in the 2nd half rather then just the last 5 mins. The semi finals will be really tasty if Holland get past Costa Rica. My predictor had an Argentina v Germany final and its on course.
-
That was Colombia's first real test and they were caught out by a huge occasion. They had a reasonably easy group and then came up against Uruguay who was on the back of the Suarez mess. I thought they would get past Brazil but the Brazilian tempo was too much. With Neymar out of the tournament its advantage Germany in that semi. Look forward to the Argentina v Belgium game later. Its time for Messi and Co to step up.
-
I can see them getting past Brazil.
-
I reckon you are still sauced mate. Belgium battered them for a while. USA could have nicked it in the 90th min though
-
The old hot and cold balls might be in there to fix a Rangers v Hibs / Hearts draw early on for the TV's. Queen's Park home or away
-
Last eight. Who's your favourite to go all the way. At least this way we aren't given away any score predictions for the league.

Understand that but it wasn't so long ago they were a team in the lower ends of the English leagues -
It is mouth watering but Colombia, France and Belgium will have something to say about that. Id say only the Dutch are heavy favourites in their game, the others are very much in the balance.
-
Belgium v USA was the best 0-0 over 90 mins Ive seen for a long time.

Suarez - Talent to burn but behaves like an animal.

Looks like its almost a done deal to Barca. Wouldn't surprise me if he did the bite on purpose to make his move out of Liverpool. I find it hard to believe 12 months ago he was wanting out and his stance has changed so dramatically over the course of a few months. If Liverpool get Sanchez plus cash then they should grab it.- 54 replies

Wouldn't disagree with that, just a few glimpse of quality on occasion. Advocaats better signings - Mols, Van Bronkhurst and Klos. Tugay and Reyna were also class acts and unheard of. Klos may not have been signed had Charbonnier not got injured.
