  1. Its a good point and we should also get something in Nice. I just wanted to go into the Tottenham game with plenty to play for and it looks like we will certainly have that.
  2. West Brom v Burnley tonight, big game. Sunderland held at Preston last night with Leeds losing at Millwall. This league is blasted wide open.
  3. What was Mings thinking! He isnt the Ref and cant dictate if the ball is in play or not - but even though, why pick it up! But Arsenal have hit a brick wall.
  4. Was going to say exact this and Castore. But if wearing it in a league game they would have to be on.
  5. I think that's very nice, its got a slight retro look around the neck. Its kind of a collector item so is the type of kit id buy.
  6. I wonder what the numbers are when splitting the European Cup and Champions League formats.
  7. What makes this nice is that they were smiling last week on the bench at Tottenham when losing in the league cup....they werent smiling last night.
  8. Im going with it being a belter of a finish, Seaman wasnt stopping that
  9. Cant quite remember Seaman, but the shot must have had a fair bit of power behind it with the momentum he was going at.
  10. I wouldnt have had Real Madrid down as the most amount of defeats. They are the only team in every catergory. As for last night, thats a bad defeats for them. Im beginning to like this new format, there is no hiding place for the big boys.
  11. Real Madrid v AC Milan. Very tasty on paper, the two most successful clubs in the competition. Just a shame it isnt near a classic Milan team.
  12. And a Manager is paid handsomely to do such things. He cant possibly think Tav will role back the years now. There is nothing wrong with having him as club captain, he just doesnt need to be team captain. Semi finals are normally about just getting through and we got it in the end and we have about 6 weeks to sort things before the final.
  13. It was a hammering in the end for Villa. And after dropping points against Bournemouth last week Villa have lost a chance to cement top 3 for time being. The Championship table is always intriguing. Hopefully the top 2 as it stands go up - two really big clubs. And Ideally Blackburn somehow get up via the playoffs but there is a host of teams I dont mind like Coventry.
  14. So the next manager debate may actually be back in 45 minutes. We are a middle of the road, run of the mill SPL team at the moment. They dont look like they have even trained together before.
  15. I think the tempo is slightly better. But Dessers! Not only his miss but the weak pass when Bajrami was through
  16. Once again the Bench is more appealing than those starting.
  17. Its still a bit premature to be talking about the next manager, perhaps it will be revisited at 5pm UK time though. But Id much rather see the Clement of 12 months ago who came in and propelled us briefly into a title challenge. That same guy has to be in there somewhere. As said before he has lost his own self confidence after Ross County and Dundee results.
  18. The Semi Final of all time was probably the 1999 FA Cup semi at Villa Park when Giggsy scored that worldy to beat Arsenal and was part of the Treble. Bergkamp also missed a pen in the last minute of normal time. The fine lines that Man Utd got the treble was unreal.
  19. The Premier is turning into the Championship - so unpredictable. Last weekend was mad with the amount of late goals then yesterday Liverpool was the only one who won who should have.
  20. Kind of good to see, Ive often had a soft spot for them. If Villa win today both Forest and Villa in the top 4 - two proper clubs. Yet Ive no idea what Lopetegui was doing playing a Levein style 5-5-0. He really has to go. The media are swinging the "be careful what you wish for" about Moyes but its not that, the West Ham support didnt want Lop in the first place. Amorin was the first choice but Sullivan didnt want to pay the release fee for him. Arsenal were so far off it and didnt even deserve to nick a draw that Rice almost got. They are so lucky Man City lost or it was title over. That coach at Bournemouth will go onto bigger things, he has transformed them. Its refreshing in a way to prove the so call experts wrong. They all said it was unfair on Gary O'Neil after keeping Bournemouth up but the owner had bigger plans - this was also the same with Brighton when Hughton was punted, the experts said "what do Brighton expect" - yet they had a bigger vision and got Potter, not they are a cemented Premier team.
  21. Interesting - McCloy is the last keeper Rangers had that I cant remember (if you get that). I've no idea what he was like. Nicky Walker would be the first I recall before signing Woods (not sure when Ginzburg came). Yet I remember McAlpine in his last season.
  22. Going forward it can be, but with a NO.8. Then Lawrence is always further forward as a second striker. Sunday isnt the game to try it but say Lawrence and Hagi next to each other with two wide players would be interesting. For EG: Bajrami Lawrence Hagi Cerny Raskin The way we do it is frustrating and too deep and too pedestrian.
  23. Some Semi Finals stick for me. The 1996 Scottish Cup Semi at Hampden when we beat Celtic 2-1, that was a great game. The Laudrup lob to win it was excellent even though they tried to take him clean out. McCoist opened the scoring with a typical tap in after Robertson hit a shot and I think Marshall in goal laid it straight to McCoist. Plus the 92 Semi against against Celtic when we played about 83 minutes with 10 men - and Super Ally did it again with a strike from outside the box.
  24. Ive wanted Dessers to succeed but he fluffs too many chances. We mentioned Kent the other day, I think Im also realising how much quality Morelos actually had. But Id start Igamane tomorrow. Lawrence would be more suited to a 4-1-4-1 rather than being the sole No.10 (In some games we should only need one holding midfielder) but he may be dropping down the pecking order. Id have no issues with Hagi starting. Just seems Clement is scared to change things but he must be realising what he is doing now isnt working. After the Ross County game last season he himself has lost confidence.
  25. This will be tough this weekend, last week was crazy with injury times goals in almost every game. - Gunners with loads of injuries but I like how Arteta hasnt used it as an excuse. - Routine City win. Loads of injuries which Pep has complained about but they can still field a top XI. - First win for Ipswich. - Forest doing really well but questions still hang over Lopetegui at West Ham. - Smash and grab for Everton. - Palace are onto their game now. - Tottenham v Villa could go anyway. - Man U players will be on trial with Amorin watching but Chelsea probably have the better players. - Monday night game is a nice fixture. When I lived down south this would have been a 3rd tier fixture. These two and Leyton Orient were London's lesser clubs. Newcastle 1-1 Arsenal Bournemouth 0-2 Man City Ipswich 2-1 Leicester Liverpool 3-1 Brighton Nottingham Forest 2-2 West Ham Southampton 0-1 Everton Wolves 1-2 Crystal Palace Tottenham 1-2 Aston Villa Man Utd 2-2 Chelsea Fulham 2-1 Brentford
