  1. TBH this should have been part of the plan in 2012. But whether Ally and his team would have got it right I am not so sure.
  2. At least! Considering it took them 10 years to stop us while they was in the top flight we already have a 3 year set back by climbing the leagues. Everything on and off the park will create a bigger gap.
  3. I think Michael Laudrup is the perfect fit to continue the good set up there, he plays the same style and with Southampton having arguably a better team than Swansea Laudrup would go well there. He is also the big name that could a) keep hold of their top players or b) replace them.
  4. I think they should have went for Benitez. Not sure Pochettino will last at Spurs TBH. The manager merry go round begins.
  5. I tend to agree with this for the reason that it often does teams good to take 2 steps back and get relegated, we've seen that down south with Newcastle to name a few, even teams like Leicester went 2 divisions back and have come back stronger. So for Hibs I can see them being slightly better than he have been this season. For Hearts it will depend on what activity they do in the transfer market but they are not going to be in as bad a situation as we was and will start a rebuilding job. I would have said we would be favourites on paper but with Ally's style I could even see Falkirk giving us a go.
  6. Oomph....fair one. So you don't think we will win the league next season?
  7. Would like to hear what fellow Bears expect next season. Obviously the journey back up the leagues was supposed to be a gimmie and we didn't foresee hearts and Hibs standing in the way. Hearts are on the rebuilding and Hibs are about to make changes.....An article on here a few weeks ago had Ally saying he fears Hibs, sorry but we should never be fearing them. We had a good Scottish cup run this year but id not worry about that this year and put all efforts into the league. Still cant believe we didt pick up the Ramsden's and I cant see there being big interest in that this year. I don't think Ally is the right manager, he should be at the club in some capacity but not on the training field and If im honest I don't think it will be easy next season.
  8. I did think Butcher was a real fit for Hibs when he went there and expected them to be a top 3 side but something is obviously far wrong there, to only win 1 game in 19 sounds like there was a player / manager split. Not sure what to expect from them next season though....
  9. Look at that pest Doncaster in the corner. Scottish football has went so far backwards the 2nd tier is better than the top tier.
  10. Championship will be better than the Premiership. I wonder what the TV deal is. It couldn't have happened any sweeter for clowns like Doncaster.
  11. Pretty sure the Inverness owners will be having a wry smile at the moment. Gosh Im glad we haven't got Butcher as a manager.
  12. Its great to have different views, for me Giggs does down as Man Utd best ever. I thought he was terrific even up to the last game he came on against Hull. He certainly gets in my all time Premier League team. When you talk about over rated then that's where Beckham can come into it.
  13. Im having a bouncy......
  14. Rangers Hearts ad Hibs in 1 league.....hoofing
  15. Didn't see that coming.....that's a reason to continue drinking....
  16. I agree with SBS we couldn't afford Lampards phone bill never mind wages. He'd have been realistic in the late 90s. He'd have only joined via sentimental reasons and would have been paid 5k a week, yet he will go to the MLS and get that a day and then some.
  17. :laugh2: Choked on my breakfast reading that.
  18. Disappointed for Atletico, to come so close. But they won La Liga.
  19. Aye but we wouldn't have won anything without Jose as the boss right!? Lampard might have been a realistic target not so long ago. He cant be put into the same bracket as Messi and Buffon - 2 of the best the world has seen on their positions
  20. Lampard and Hemdani over Davis and Ferguson everyday of the week. Ferguson ruined Hemdani practically tackling him off the ball. Davis on the right and Weiss on the left with Lampard and Hemdani in the middle, Prso and Cousin upfront - now that would have won the UEFA cup hands down.
  21. Lampard and the man in your avator, now that would have a been a refreshing centre midfield.
  22. I wouldn't have taken him to the WC if I was Hodgson simply because you aren't going to get 3 x 90 minutes out of him but I still think he would be a terrific squad player for Chelsea next season to come off the bench and nick a goal or 2. I also thought he put in a cracking shift against Liverpool at Anfield.
  23. I was going to have a bet yesterday that Moyes would be their next manager. Its perfect timing for him to get away from the media in England and have 2 years getting his confidence back in a 1 team league. But if he does go there gosh they will be even more ugly to watch.
  24. He hasn't been released, they are just delaying talks until after the world cup. But if he does leave he is a banker for the MLS to make a fortune.
