Sorry state of affairs but our team should have just enough (to give your kids a treat, its full of Cadbury goodness....)
-
We should get the Shagger back for next season.
-
Bosshhhh Looking forward to hearing the predictions on this one. Hibs will be totally up for it. Yet we have just had to play 90 mins from Saturday. I fancy us though 2-0
-
Don't follow what you have posted....are you saying we shouldn't be aiming to win the title again??? He has done the job of getting us into the play offs - yes but even McCoist would have done that. Still don't follow what you are trying to say mate.

Tomorrow's Daily Mail - Rangers show interest in Warburton and Weir

Jesus...John Hughes.....that's in the Jim Jefferies camp. An unpopular name has always been Jimmy Calderwood, id give him a bash ahead of McCall. -
Cant agree with that, how do you work that one out? He isn't the man for the job. He isn't near what we require to win a top flight title again.
-
So its looking like Hull are gone. They need to beat Man Utd and hope Newcastle don't beat West Ham at home.
-
I can see him getting the job though which is the problem. Granted he has a big mess to clean up but he still isn't the man for the job. When was the last time we had a decent No.2?!! That plays a big role.

Exclusive: Karl Robinson rejects advances of Rangers
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Would be strange timing from them aswell though, Id have thought with MK Dons already being promoted Robinson would be on a beach by now. -
Used to vary for me. Midweek and Sunday games Id usual used to drive or take the Granite City Supporters Bus but majority of home games on a Saturday I used to take the train to enjoy a good 3 hours of Tennents of the way down. If I went now I would be John Candy and Steve Martin - Trains, Planes and Automobiles

I think Im right in saying both teams will be going for trebles in the final. Juve have won the league and are in the Coppa Italian final. Barca should wrap up the la liga and the Spanish cup. Juve need to stifle the game like they did to Real in the second half and they might have a chance but Barca would need to have an off day to lose it. Ive got Juve on to win it at 11/1 but I don't mind Barca winning as they probably deserve to increase their total number of CL titles.

While I agree with that the timing could have been a bit better rather than during the play offs. -
I predicted a Juve v Barca final, happy with that. Seems a bit like 2013 when I thought Dortmund v Munich final, and I had Dortmund on from the last 16 Ive had Juventus on to win it since the last 16.

Rangers boss Stuart McCall: Nobody will care how we won promotion...
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Got to agree with Gisabeer, if we was attempting to play attractive stuff then people might be more positive about the future. But its a bit of a lottery at the moment. If we do go up we need quite a lot of surgery to make us near the top. -
What day is the 2nd leg? Auntie bbc still doesn't have this listed in their fixtures. If I was in the UK I would be posting my TV license back about this. Interestingly, how many ST holders are going after the 5 quid ticket announcement? Id personally have definitely paid to go had I still got my ST. IIRC the fixtures then come thick and fast for the next play off then the next one to go up....shambolic set up by the SPFL.
-
I don't think nobody doesn't want promotion, I think there is 1 or 2 just looking at it away from that and what happens.
-
Sill trying to work out how Hull gave Steve Bruce a new contract. I think they have gone, its between them and Sunderland and both have horrendous fixtures but Sunderlands cup final next week could be enough to save them. Hull: Spurs away Man Utd home Sunderland: Leicester home Arsenal away Chelsea away Newcastle QPR away West Ham home

I have to admit I can see where the argument comes from of not getting promotion....its gives a new start but TBH we should have had this new start 2-3 years ago when we was in the bottom tier. Unfortunately we had incompetence running us on and off the pitch so I do see where we see the point that we could start again next season rather than struggling in the top tier. Financially I really don't know what the benefits of going up are, we are the ones who bring finance to the others and the SPFLA-Z don't even have a sponsor, they are obvious waiting to see our situation. I really don't want to see us being a mid table side in the top flight, that could set us back longer. Promotion will mean we are back where we belong but after the honeymoon period we could be a disaster. It shows that the King decision is also the top flight playing games again, they obviously fear a strong Rangers.
-
If Ross County beat St Mirren today they should have enough in the last 2 games to avoid the plays off then it will come down to Motherwell and Kilmarnock.
-
I was going to say, delay as long as possible so they know what division we will be in next season.
-
I agree with categorising it especially for goalkeepers Best Goalkeeper Best Defender Best Midfielder Best forward

I do think international football holds weight. More so pre-2000 as the CL has probably surpassed it now but in 1960-2000 international was still the peak especially pre CL group format. When you mentioned what Best and Giggs did at international level - they have to be given the chance first. Messi has had 3 WC's and barely shown up at any of them, and Ronaldo. Where as the fat ROnaldo and Zidane did it at both levels. Therefore as club football is at the peak, could Messi and Ronaldo shine in say the Seville team and win them the league? Possibly but unlikely.

Official RFC Statement on play-off ticketing prices
Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I said on the other thread a fiver entry fee would be the way -
The cash flow around the Spanish league is shocking, if the other clubs get a fairer proportion then the dominance of the big two will come down and Atletico Madrid and Valencia will get a lot closer.
