  1. I can see him getting the job though which is the problem. Granted he has a big mess to clean up but he still isn't the man for the job. When was the last time we had a decent No.2?!! That plays a big role.
  2. Would be strange timing from them aswell though, Id have thought with MK Dons already being promoted Robinson would be on a beach by now.
  3. Used to vary for me. Midweek and Sunday games Id usual used to drive or take the Granite City Supporters Bus but majority of home games on a Saturday I used to take the train to enjoy a good 3 hours of Tennents of the way down. If I went now I would be John Candy and Steve Martin - Trains, Planes and Automobiles
  4. A flight for you and a flight for me, that could be the 2 tickets gone.
  5. I think Im right in saying both teams will be going for trebles in the final. Juve have won the league and are in the Coppa Italian final. Barca should wrap up the la liga and the Spanish cup. Juve need to stifle the game like they did to Real in the second half and they might have a chance but Barca would need to have an off day to lose it. Ive got Juve on to win it at 11/1 but I don't mind Barca winning as they probably deserve to increase their total number of CL titles.
  6. While I agree with that the timing could have been a bit better rather than during the play offs.
  7. I predicted a Juve v Barca final, happy with that. Seems a bit like 2013 when I thought Dortmund v Munich final, and I had Dortmund on from the last 16 Ive had Juventus on to win it since the last 16.
  8. Got to agree with Gisabeer, if we was attempting to play attractive stuff then people might be more positive about the future. But its a bit of a lottery at the moment. If we do go up we need quite a lot of surgery to make us near the top.
  9. What day is the 2nd leg? Auntie bbc still doesn't have this listed in their fixtures. If I was in the UK I would be posting my TV license back about this. Interestingly, how many ST holders are going after the 5 quid ticket announcement? Id personally have definitely paid to go had I still got my ST. IIRC the fixtures then come thick and fast for the next play off then the next one to go up....shambolic set up by the SPFL.
  10. I don't think nobody doesn't want promotion, I think there is 1 or 2 just looking at it away from that and what happens.
  11. Sill trying to work out how Hull gave Steve Bruce a new contract. I think they have gone, its between them and Sunderland and both have horrendous fixtures but Sunderlands cup final next week could be enough to save them. Hull: Spurs away Man Utd home Sunderland: Leicester home Arsenal away Chelsea away Newcastle QPR away West Ham home
  12. I have to admit I can see where the argument comes from of not getting promotion....its gives a new start but TBH we should have had this new start 2-3 years ago when we was in the bottom tier. Unfortunately we had incompetence running us on and off the pitch so I do see where we see the point that we could start again next season rather than struggling in the top tier. Financially I really don't know what the benefits of going up are, we are the ones who bring finance to the others and the SPFLA-Z don't even have a sponsor, they are obvious waiting to see our situation. I really don't want to see us being a mid table side in the top flight, that could set us back longer. Promotion will mean we are back where we belong but after the honeymoon period we could be a disaster. It shows that the King decision is also the top flight playing games again, they obviously fear a strong Rangers.
  13. If Ross County beat St Mirren today they should have enough in the last 2 games to avoid the plays off then it will come down to Motherwell and Kilmarnock.

I was going to say, delay as long as possible so they know what division we will be in next season.
  15. I agree with categorising it especially for goalkeepers Best Goalkeeper Best Defender Best Midfielder Best forward
  16. I do think international football holds weight. More so pre-2000 as the CL has probably surpassed it now but in 1960-2000 international was still the peak especially pre CL group format. When you mentioned what Best and Giggs did at international level - they have to be given the chance first. Messi has had 3 WC's and barely shown up at any of them, and Ronaldo. Where as the fat ROnaldo and Zidane did it at both levels. Therefore as club football is at the peak, could Messi and Ronaldo shine in say the Seville team and win them the league? Possibly but unlikely.
  17. I said on the other thread a fiver entry fee would be the way
  18. The cash flow around the Spanish league is shocking, if the other clubs get a fairer proportion then the dominance of the big two will come down and Atletico Madrid and Valencia will get a lot closer.
  19. The Messi arguments are out again claiming him to be the greatest ever. People tend to live in the now with decisions like this plus its a generation thing. There is no doubt Messi is currently the best and the best of a generation but as or all time best its still a no for me. Its an argument that has no answer, but would be interesting to see who is the best from YOUR time watching football. Maradona IMO cant be touched. Imagine how good he would have been today with the better pitches and easier game where tackling has become a foul. He was unplayable in the 80s. He also did it with Napoli who weren't in the top 5 in the world like Barca is now. I also think Zidane is still ahead of Messi as he also won the WC, Euro Champs, CL..... The Fat Ronaldo was also sublime. In my generation I will go. 1. Maradona 2. Zidane 3. The real Ronaldo (Messi could surpass him very soon though)
  20. The 3rd goal in the 94th minute has probably finished the tie.
  21. Gribz

    Lets imagine

He nicked my summer football and league reconstruction. Therefore I will through in that Id like to remove fat cats from the game and Id bring in more ex pro's into the business side. There is nothing wrong with genuine business men and women being involved in the running as they would be really needed but there would need to be a link between the running of the game and ex players / managers.
  22. Happy birthday mate.
  23. Good win and I had a wee flutter on Juve as well. I have fancied them to win the CL since the last 16 but with Real getting an away goal id see them as clear favourites to go through. I'll put last nights winnings onto Barca tonight.
  24. Agreed but Messi beating him in the final would be nice.
  25. Juventus v Real Madrid Tough one to call but Juve will know if they are going to reach the final they have to win the home leg. I fancy Juve to win this one 1-0. Barcelona v Bayern Munich Barca will want revenge from 2 seasons ago's 7-0 agg pumping. Plus they haven't won the CL for 4 years now and know Munich and Real have. They seem to be peaking at the right time with the front 3 unstoppable. Pep will know everything about Barca though. Munich got a shock in Porto but came back well. Its probably because they are so far ahead of everyone domestically. Im going for Barca 2-0 in the 1st leg.
