  1. Liverpool will be interesting this season - they were a wimper last season in their title defence. Man Utd are still weak at the back and in management. If I was a betting man Id have a flutter on Chelsea.
  2. Haha, that amused me. Is Hamilton still open?
  3. Thank you. Im doing the double check for you, Compo and Scott....ehhhh.... Thanks for changing...Premier League lets go.
  4. Haha. My bad. Apologies Can you edit it please to 2021-22
  5. Having a Maserati myself for 6 months these cars are very unpractical and really are for show only. Nice on the eye but a pain in the ass especially over speed bumps. Buy a Golf R / Audi RS3 and do a stage 2 upgrade - wipes most things and can be used domestically
  6. Klinnsmann wasnt available. Granted he dived but he was still Englands best player bar Walker. It will be an interesting summer for him - Man Citeh were ready to sell him..I wonder if they will now. They should - Yes he is dangerous when at pace but 5/10 he runs into nowhere.
  7. Can we finish with the song...Its coming home...
  8. Nope..they went down last season. Thats your predictions being much appreciated..we will not count Fulham v probably Forest. ?
  9. Are Fulham even in the league this season squire? Check being done.....
  10. This is where is starts. As Harry Kane says "yeah obviously..Obviously..yeah obviously Massive season for Arsenal... Ole at the wheel haha with the tools..... Lets go.....
  11. @Rousseau his team isnt that bad. ?
  12. Anyway - back on to the football. For team of the tournament - I went for this: Schmeichel Walker Bonucci Chiellini Spinazzola Busquets Chiesa De Bruyne Immobile Sterling Ronaldo Id go as far as saying De Bruyne is currently the best player in the world at the moment - he wasnt even fully fit but changed Belgium when he played. He wont get into the Messi and Ronaldo camp overall but he is a sublime player.
  13. Kate who? I just dont do celeb nonsense and havent done for at least 8 or 9 years. The best thing I ever did was turn off my TV. (football excluded). But you make an extremely good point - the first OF games I started to watch were just 60-70 thousand fans and its still late 80s. There was zero posers or "celebs" (horrendous word). I am not going to go deep in here at all and I'll stick to football but what I will say is the change in the fan attendances is all designed.
  14. Some good interesting discussion on this thread now. I agree fully with what Scott7 says - Just aside - not that Id take it off them but I do wonder where they get their tickets from and if they had to pay for them. Why dont they sit in with the average man in the stands rather than always have to being perceived as being in the VIP (worst ever - actually define a very important person from another) - simple answer is they cant and wouldnt know how to.
  15. Cracking job Rousseau. We'll arrange something for the EPL before it starts and I'll happily do the tallys for the 3 or 4 regulars who participate on that but keeping it quite straight forward. Well done TannochBear - glad you pipped Whosthedado at the end - he's won enough predictors. International football isnt my thing ?
  16. Im not buying the age excuse for Saka, thats nothing to do with it - Rooney at 19 would have stepped up and blasted one in. Its more about the personality / confidence of Saka - he is obviously a bit of a shy lad and he hasnt taken a penalty for Arsenal before - thats more to do with it rather than age.
  17. Well done chief. A good scoop.
  18. It was the old saying of a game of two halves. Italy only started to play like themselves in the second half and could have won it in 90 minutes with a but more composure. England improved when they went to a back 4 but still never got another shot on target. But overall the best team won both on the night and in the last month. Massive credit to Mancini to take a side who didnt qualify for the last World Cup to go 3 years and now 34 matches unbeaten to become European Champions - this is where Italy and Germany stand out from other European nations. Spain and France have built sides to win tournaments recently but Italy and Germany do it every decade and progress in tournaments to finals. I wouldnt blame Saka for the pen - he didnt look confident at all. Rashfords pen was horrendous - you just dont mess around like that in a final. He should have put his laces through it like he did v PSG in the CL a few years ago in the last minute of the match. I never thought Southgate was a good manager but along with St George's park you can see the progress the England set up have got and they have a great structure in place now and the biggest strength in depth squad they have arguably had. There are no ego's like past squads and they are a good team albeit he could have let the shackles off slightly more with further forward thinking players. But Im delighted for Italy and Chiellini especially.
  19. Poor from Italy but strong from England. The physical size difference is glaring and making a big difference. Mancini should have spotted it very early that Shaw and Trippier are in acres of space. I can only see England scoring again in the second half with no reply.
  20. Definitely. I quite like Ian Wright so with Keane its an easy 2-0 win for ITV. I kind of thought Southgate would switch to 3 centre halves, its says he is cautious at minimum against a good opposition.
  21. Argentina win first major since 1993's Copa America and its a first International trophy for Messi elevating him up to being on par with Ronaldo at international level (unless you count Ronaldo's Nations League win). A good way to win it as well - on your rivals patch.
  22. The one thing the final needs on Sunday is good strong fair refereeing. Its been top notch this tournament bar one or two decisions. He cant be influenced by the home support - I think if the Denmark v England game was at a neutral ground then Sterlings pen gets overturned. Ive always said Pickford is a horror show once every 6-8 games for Everton and he had a few errors v Denmark but the Italians are the best opposition England have faced by a mile and the two centre halves and Pickford are there to be got at.
  23. We are playing Arsenal before Real though are we not? OK - not top at the moment but still in the top 3 of all time from down south IMO.
  24. Was just about to pose the question if the turnstiles will be open for this? Its a MUST they should be...at least 20,000 should get in - Considering there was over 70,000 at Wembley last night. (The official figure was 67,500 but that didnt include the 2000 delegates plus sponsor tickets nor the 100s of media).
