So make a number of changes for the weekend then! Id rather see an attacking team with plenty changes and have a right go and not go up and play the same team. The only good thing is he cant play 5 at the back on Sunday, he HAS to go for it. Must be 4-3-3 for me.
-
As bad as Black is id have had him in the team ahead of Shiels tonight. The list of departures this summer is growing and growing. Id rather play the kids and Legends than some of the current squad.
-
I agree a total shake up is needed and McCall is nowhere near what is required, I almost thought he looked weak tonight and was overawed by the occasion of playing his old side. I don't agree with the 'fuck off McCall comments' that's just silly. In these plays offs the record is P5 W2 D1 L2 F6 A6 - that record isn't near good enough.

Defo Arsenal from me. West Ham are my English team but have always had a soft spot for the Gooners and have enjoyed watching them since 1997. Would also like to see them win for Southampton to get them into Europe. A stronger Arsenal will be better for the English league next season also and another cup win will put them towards that.

I don't see the problem stating the obvious though, it won't effect the team preparations at all. If anything it could make them more determined to prove doubters wrong. If he does start mcculloch tonight the a number of fans will be questioning it.

Former Rangers boss Advocaat ends career in club football

The OF game after the 6-2 was 5-1 to Rangers at Ibrox. Flo's debut. -
The only argument against that is would McCall have gave up that job had he been the highest paid manager in the country?
-
Doesn't LOOK fat, he IS fat in that picture. A disgrace of a shape for a professional footballer.
-
That's not down to the player himself though, Im pretty sure the poor coaching is more responsible for that.

I don't think we should be looking outside Scotland for EVERY player. We need some rebuilding job this summer if we go up and need no fewer than 8 first teamers. Id be bringing the potentially talented Scots in with a mix of good experienced players.

You have to remember Walter got an awful lot of cash in the 90s also but Advocaat knew what to do with both domestically and in Europe. -
Bit of a self defeatist comment in bold. Not sure why he would need to come out with this prior to the game, admitting he his part responsible wont install much confidence in our club. The above is really why we need to look for better in the summer.

I was kind of hoping he would be a contender for our gaff next season. -
Kris Boyd since returning should be as high up on that list as anyone.

Fan-Fan, Velicka...there will be a lot more. Seb Rozental was very unlucky IMO.

With hindsight he has done his career a wonder of good by going to Hibs for a year then else McCoist would have just ruined him. Sometimes is pays to go and learn your trade elsewhere. I cant see Celtic turning his head if he is a Gers fan....not getting promotion may be the only stumbling block. But Ive seen him for 90 mins just the one time and you can clearly see the talent is there. Bringing him in and Macleod back would be a terrific start to the rebuilding job required.

Walter Smith's way forward for scottish football

Globalisation. It wont be long before MLS sides are applying to have a competition with Champions League sides and I think Premier league matches will eventually go overseas. -
Well done lads. These days we really need some young ones to come through the grade and go on to be first teamers long term. That's why we need to get the right manager appointment with right coaching team. There will be a few regrettable hairdo's in there in the years to come

In reply: 1. There was 41000 at the first leg against Hibs on a weekend, do you think another 9000 will turn up for this midweek match? EDIT - Just seen its a sell out. Plus if it allowed our team to have 4800 behind them in the 2nd leg then its worth it. 2. Point taken but for one off matches almost like a cup final teams always get larger supports.
-
Ticket situation is a farce again, only games organised by the SPFL would see grounds with huge empty spaces when its obvious the ground could be sold out - a terrible advertisement for the Scottish game as anyone viewing in from out the country will think its crap crowds. We should have given Motherwell 2000 they asked for in return for 4800. I always like to see a healthy away support to make a better atmosphere.

I used to sit up there, on the days I attended without booze Id run up the stairs - great exercise. But you may get a few bruises on the knees afterwards as the leg room is tight. Depending on which section you are in you will get a cracking view of the pitch but if you are further towards the back you cant see much of the rest of the stadium. Ive sat at the byline a few times and you do need to stretch out to see the corner flag at the same side of the pitch. But I certainly enjoyed sitting up there.

That was the real Jeff....When I was in UK last and watched this he has a new hairdo, tanned and an eyebrow lift...whats that all about. I used to love Soccer Saturday though, best way to ease a hangover. I started watching it when it was George Best, Rodney Marsh, Frank McLintock and Charlie Nicholas. Couldn't watch it now if Phil Thompson is on it, his voice breaks glass. Even if he is a hooped Horror I do like Nicholas though.

Hull have been poor upfront all season and Steve Bruce chopping and changing formations hasn't helped. Newcastle ending up finishing above Villa and Sunderland. Certainly hasn't been the greatest premier league season.
