Eh no. The point is about loaning players. GS stated it was for small clubs. Overall its a ridiculous statement.

Fantastic deals for Man Utd to get Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin. That just sets them level with the other big 3. Still think they need a centre half. ________________________De gea_______________________ Damion________Jones__________Smalling__________Rojo Di Maria_______Schwein_______Schneid_________Depay_ ________________________Mata___________________________ ______________________Rooney___________________________

10 Big Moments All Glasgow Rangers Fans Are Waiting For
Gribz replied to Bearman's topic in Rangers Chat
One step at a time. No.10 is probably gone. No.9 The mess is starting to get cleared up and we are in a far better position than 6 months ago. No.8 If anything we have the best manager in place to utilise this since MP was opened. No.7 Gough was the best captain in my lifetime and it will be difficult to get another near him. He was more than a captain, he was a Captains Captain. Weir was the last top one we had and its an interesting appointment that he has given his student Wilson the armband. No.6 Im looking forward to this one a lot. Its inevitable and TBH not going up via McCall last season may stead us better for when we do go up. One step back to take two forward. No.5 That's what the next 10 months is going to be all about. No.4 We need to get No.3 first but it will be an unreal feeling when that comes again (not if! but when) No.3 That's going to be an awfully big party day! Again its when and not if. Its not like we are going to do a Liverpool and not win it for more than quarter of a century, its probably only 1-2 seasons away after this one. No.2 That's probably the most far off one of the list but will happen. No.1 I would rather change this to 'beating Celtic regularly again'. I can see us beating them at Ibrox when are promoted, its all about dominating the fixture again and being rightly back on top. -
Garbage. Real Madrid had Hernandez on loan last season, cant remember too many people thinking they are a small club. Falcao to Man Utd - another small club and Chelsea this season. If you play the market right it does wonders. Arsene Wenger uses this system to know if a player is going to make it or not. Look at Alex Song at West Ham last season, he came from Barcelona and didn't sniff at where he was playing, he was outstanding and is now linked with both Man City and Chelsea for his performances.

And we can hit out and they way they handled playing. Its good riddance to Black an obvious troublemaker and Daly just impersonated Kevin Kyle whenever I seen him play. As for Foster I know I will take pelters here but in the few times I watched him I thought he was always pretty decent - never a world beater - but didn't do much wrong.

The day Rangers signed Gazza and Ibrox got a new hero
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
20 years ago, wow. I remember camping in France at the time and couldn't believe we got him. During 95-96 season its difficult to say there was a better player in Europe and in Euro 96 was easily the best player. As Craig says its often those with flaws who have a bit of genius, a lot of people say if he went to Man Utd he would have been different but Im not so sure. Gazza won us 8IAR / Laudrup won us 9IAR (and probably 7) but as Andy Goram says losing Gazza in 1998 cost us 10IAR. A half fit Gazza would have made the difference that season. -
I think we were a selling club even if when we were in the CL 10 years ago. Unfortunately it comes down to players wanting to play for bigger bucks when claiming its for winning bigger trophies. Even 75% of the English Premier League are selling clubs. We made good sales profit out of Boumsong and Alan Hutton. I cant remember if we got anything for Charlie Adam.

Warburton has got a rebuilding job on his hand but bringing in this type of potential is exactly what we need. If we got promoted last season I wonder if McCall would have been given the job and what state the footballing side of the club would have still been in.

David Weir: The lack of a scouting network at Rangers is a massive problem
Gribz replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
W & W were probably expecting at least some sort of system in place to have a look at but will be finding out the scouting system was non-existent with not even a post-it pad of names on the table, therefore they are starting it from scratch. Pretty sure Warburton had players in his own mind anyway so I don't see it being an issue for buying players this summer but going forward its something that has to be resolved and we should have a set up in pretty much all corners of the globe. -
I wish McCulloch all the best for what he does next but happy it wont be at Ibrox. You cant accuse him of not trying, just a shame his best in the last year or so wasn't good enough for a part time league especially on his wage. He was a decent attacking left midfielder before 2010 but as a centre half an absolute nightmare decision.

Im hoping for a couple of decent loan signings, its possibly our best shout due to the level we are still at.
-
Agreed. Last player I want to see back. Actually going to an Everton game next week....I'll not boo him but if he misses a sitter I might have a bounce.
-
Foderingham is an interesting one and if anything will make Bell up his game / training. Still very young and has done the rounds slightly but has potential so its an interesting addition. Ive certainly confidence that Warburton will get the best out of him. A forward is still needed in the coming week or so. Miller and Clark are ball to feet / pacey players and may suit Warburton and may also excel under them. Miller will be handy around the place for another year. A perfect pro and can do a job coming off the bench for the last half hour in games. Id certainly rather be in the position we are in now with Clark and Miller still on the books than Daly and Boyd.
-
Maybe so and he hasn't really done much as a coach. Ive fond memories of Durie the player, thought he was a cracking signing and did very well for us but unfortunately coaching wise was just another job for the boys guy. As its been discussed and I cant get this point across enough - there is and always is a open door to be welcome at the club for ex players (excluding those who pissed off in 2012) but as for jobs it has to be the right ones and not the drink together play together attitude. Weir fits perfectly to this category.

Come on now, its only Spurs, if we was training at Arsenal Id let you away with that But its a good idea from MW, pretty sure it will extend with an invite for Spurs to train at murray park if they require in the future and there is no harm building relationships with such clubs. As mentioned a closed doors game Versus someone there beats a jolly up to the highlands.

I hear what you are saying but League 1 isn't a bad standard. Teams like Brentford and Bournemouth have come out of there and been a match for the Championship. We don't have to go that far back to Leicester, Norwich, Stoke, Swansea and Southampton playing in that division and they didn't get out of that league by having Gerrard, Lampard, Silva and Agureo type players. They needed the unheard ones at first.
-
St Johnstone and Aberdeen failing to beat teams Ive never heard of. Either those countries leagues are getting better or ours is getting worse or possibly both. You just wonder though if they had had maybe 10 competitive league fixtures by now with a start of season around March then how would they have done. I thought West Ham would have put at least 6 past that team but then saw it was pretty much a reserve team. A good full house at Upton Park to welcome Bilic (who isn't taking charge yet bizarrely) and to mark the last season at the old ground. Despite going to Upton Park on many occasions I am looking forward to moving to the new stadium.

Premier League Transfers - Who Decides?
Gribz replied to Rangersitis's topic in General Football Chat
Im just a fan of the old fashioned way like Arsenal, Everton and to an extent Man Utd where the manager has the final say. -
They can go out and blow mad money on Pogba now. It does seem a bit inverted that Man City have restrictions yet the money spent is pocket change for the owners but Man Utd don't have restrictions but have a (manageable) 9 figure debt.
-
Funnily I just said Leicester were bottom of the league for over 100 days in the other thread but they stayed up probably luckily. Over last season Burnley seemed to have a bit more dignity and won more fans than Leicester. So its an interesting tie and will be a good gauge for Warburton. We don't exactly want to bring Man Utd or Chelsea up to ibrox at the moment like in previous summers.
-
He has had a few spats last season with a fan, then McArthur and a Journalist then the Thailand saga. They were bottom of the league for over 100 days, they just made a great escape. Lennon and Allardyce the early favourites.
-
Its Premier League BTW and has been for over 10 years. Premiership is rugby or the Scottish League.
-
I just hope a season on the bench hasn't made him a bit rusty. Wenger has a difficult task picking Arsenals starting XI when everyone is fit. Man Utd could be getting Ramos and Schneiderlin this week.
