  1. Id personally like to see this wrapped up in private and an agreement reached so everyone moves on and we can concentrate on what Warburton is doing now. Ally might have not have quite been the best manager in the world but he remains a legend from the 80s and 90s and in 5 years time when we are back winning titles and this past few years doesn't ache like it has done Im sure it would be nice for Ally to sit in the stands as a fan again.
  2. Wouldn't be so bad if it was just chicken but I cant imagine Boyd having a meal there without the fries I think we are all just noticing what a massive difference a good coach and manager has done on a professional basis.
  3. The previous match result says an awful lot. I don't see it being 1-1 this time around.
  4. Arsenal or Tottenham....I will go Arsenal. In saying that couldn't really pick at this early stages especially when Ive only seen highlights. Ive seen a bit more of Zelalem with Arsenal to be fair.
  5. Maybe he means 2nd best out of the home nations. That would be about right.
  6. Just working things out. If teams are level on the same points does it come down to head to head? If so then so long as Ireland don't beat Germany we will finish 3rd if we beat Poland (and Gibraltar) as the final match is Poland v Ireland and both cant win. If we are level on 17 pts with either then we would have taken 4 points off both Poland and Ireland.
  7. We all know have a laugh and kick about then off to nando's for training.
  8. Makes you wonder what they are doing in training to keep it going for 90 minutes in every game and how long can it last!!
  9. A play off is still possible with 2 wins against Poland and Gibraltar. The latter is a win (although not by much) but I wouldn't bet us winning against Poland. It will be our own fault as Ireland need a win in their last 2 against Germany and Poland and I cant see them getting one.
  10. Vaguely remember him as a nippy outside winger for a very good Utd team in the 80s. Shame...very young. Wasn't there another ex Utd player from the same team died recently who also played for Rangers?? Redford??
  11. Is it? Im pretty sure I hear stories on Talksport about fathers practically having punch ups at kids games. Its a good rule and a good way to build confidence.
  12. I can see him seeing out his contract at Ibrox though, I think he will want to get the top flight title a right good go before leaving. I would guess his aim is to win the title, get us into the CL again then perhaps get a big job in England which would be like a Spurs. Ive actually no problem with that if he succeeds with us first.
  13. Bottlers They are lucky they still have Andorra to play at home
  14. The only thing Id put to that was Advocaat had us playing at a level I thought was magnificent and we could give anyone a game in 1999-2000 season. But that was an expensive team, what Warburton is going one better on a fraction of that budget and he is also doing it behind the scenes and off the park aswell with putting things in place and a footballing attitude that I haven't seen before.
  15. Come on, at least spell the great mans name right. Outstanding player, best ever for me to pull on the jersey and an outstanding person also.
  16. Promotion is almost a banker. I would imagine the Ramsdens Cup will be lifted at the 4th and final attempt. For the League Cup and the Scottish Cup I am still not too bothered about these until we are further down the road with stability and the feet are back on the ground. Obviously a win or a good run will be promising but promotion is the first and foremost care for me. I think we have a good chance in the league cup, I believe we will beat St Johnstone then its all about the draw. But a footballing structure will be achieved for the years to come....
  17. In a few games we have already hit a few scorelines that should have been done much more regularly in the last 3 years. Not to mention performances.
  18. We would need to beat Poland at home in October plus the 3 pts from Gibraltar in the last game to have a slight chance of a play off and that means we need Germany to win in Dublin and Ireland not to win in Poland. Its going to be tight but even a point against Germany still makes things difficult as Poland at home is a tricky one also. We will only get a chance of 2nd place with 3 wins and that's unlikely. If we beat Germany then id have another look at it but Germany still need to pick up points, on one hand that's bad as they could come to Hampden and rip us up but on the other hand they may also need to beat Ireland. Im looking for Georgia to do us a favour against Ireland, if they could pull a draw out of the bag there it would sweeten things but there is also the case of only 8 play off spots and we could end up being the worst place 3rd team as the wins against Gibraltar will be deducted.
  19. Annoying....this video is not authorized in my region. I often get that from Sky website.
  20. Id go one further and say a win is needed. Id imagine Rep will beat Georgia at home plus Poland will be getting 3 pts from Gibraltar.
  21. Fully agree, and that would even sound better.
  22. I was certainly one who shouted for Warburton to be appointed the second he was available after what he did at Brentford, I knew he was good but I couldn't imagine he would be this good. Im not just talking about 8 victories but he is putting in a philosophy footballing structure that we have been crying out for which will set us up for at least a decade if the men steering the ship keep it right. It just goes to show you don't need a 'job for boys' man in place and an outsider with no links to the club can succeed. Ok Weir is with him but I would only class Weir as an ex player (true professional) and not exactly 'one of the boys'. Its the same as class ex players like Laudrup and Wilkins, they could have had a role within the club and would have concentrated on the footballing side. With hindsight we will look back at last seasons failure in the play offs as a real gift!!! That might sound bizarre but it was one step back to take 2 giant strides forward. I can only see things getting better this season....
  23. Bad result and bad timing. Just means we have to beat Germany which couldn't be a more tricky task. It will be another glorious failure although it was a slightly tricky group. Good on Northern Ireland and Wales though, I will be hoping they both win their next game on Monday to qualify.
  24. Not sure what you are talking about. I concentrate on a team being run by Strachan.
  25. Its great still having a game to look forward to even during International weekend. And a great read BTW.
