  1. From my time from watching football TV Id go with this....I need to have a think about players I have actually seen. Buffon Cafu Desailly Cannavaro Maldini Messi Maradona Zidane Ronaldo Henry Baggio
  2. A no brainer for both, especially when its earned. A season only lasts 8 or 9 months they cant go down hill in that short period of time. Hill is starting to look the part - I hope Senderos can follow his lead.
  3. I think there should be a term could be International class - yet the argument to that is Luxemborg, Malta, San Marino (and Scotland) have players who play international. I remember there was a PC game years ago where a player was rated - Average, Good, Excellent, World Class, Exceptional etc....
  4. I think they are very key in our current situation until we build again. As you say 2nd place then qualifying for the Europa will be a step.
  5. I think Chelseas run will be difficult for them to repeat and will drop a few points. They have some tough fixtures coming up. But with them and Liverpool not having Europe by the time the CL comes around again they will benefit. If Tottenham play like they have in the last 3 games they will go close.
  6. Was Richard Gough a world class defender? At his peak he has to be close. Arthur Numan another who could have played for any team in Europe. There is different levels of world class, Messi, Zidane, Maradona etc are on another level.
  7. What about Pep and his interview? And he tried to gear up the Man City fans and didn't get a response. I don't think his arrogance is liked there. He probably should have went to Man Utd.
  8. Mertesacker is a world cup winner, doesn't make him world class. Gerrard consistently scored 15 goals a season from midfield, easily a better player than Ozil IMO.
  9. Man Utd 6 wins in a row and they still aren't in the top 4. Liverpool dropping points against Sunderland give Chelsea the perfect chance now.
  10. Not sure...he wasn't doing that good at Anfield when I came to this conclusions.
  11. Girouds was better than Mkitaryan (sp). Bergkamps was just sublime and a different level.
  12. Im not one to dislike people but I really dont like Brenda Rodgers.
  13. Got to agree with your previous post, it shows we are just getting closer. As for finding a goalscorer thats not easy - Does Dodoo deserve a run to try be that player?
  14. Bergkamps was still better though eh....
  15. I'll give you Larsson, to do what he did after two leg breaks and at Barca and Man Utd - I think every Rangers fan respects his quality. Laudrup and Gascoigne on another level for me though. Just thinking about players in England, Ryan Giggs world class all day long. Thierry Henry for sure, Steven Gerrard....Ozil cant be put in the same bracket as them. The one that always eluded me was Scholes, yet he is spoken about by a lot.
  16. Only 40 Happy birthday Frankie boy. Have a good day.
  17. Selection will be interesting. Id personally go 4-1-4-1 with Miller and Waghorn in the side. Forrester and McKay creating with Holt box to box.
  18. And a good festive one to you to old man.... I am the creator of previews back in the old days....sorry I haven't done one for a long time but will do so in the new year. Cant wait for this game, I think we will turn up for the occasion and win this one. Miller for me is a must and with Waghorn upfront we can put a few past them.
  19. Will reply to the rest later, reading from phone now....but that is utter nonsense. So you don't get a world class defender??? Maldini? Sorry if read wrong,...will read for proper later when home but position has got nothing to do with it.
  20. No idea why a club would let the opposition support have a display anyway only to be viewed by their own fans and millions on TV. It should be a home club thing only. Opposition supporters clubs flags etc can always be brought in by the away fans but and full away end display shouldn't even be debated.
  21. Osman is interesting on a short term deal. A good underrated player on his day. Ok is 35 now but would do a job for a short term deal.
  22. Would like to see something along the lines of this: Foderingham Tavernier Hill Wilson Hodson Halliday Waghorn Holt Forrester McKay Dodoo Would have picked Miller but Id like to see him 100% for the weekend as he is a big game player and has a good record against Celtic. MOH against his old side on the right is an option. Waghorn has his shooting boots back on so is an important player.
  23. As I said its down to personal opinion. But I would say someone who can perform at the highest level consistently. The odd bad game is accepted. But Ozil is the opposite, he only has the odd good game and has never played well in Arsenals big games. Bergkamp was truly world class. I think there is a bracket above World Class for Maradona, Messi, Zidane, etc
  24. Yeah didn't see him fitting into the English game. The Americans are still behind Europe with Soccer. Can you imagine say a David Moyes type from a UK based Gridiron side going to manage the Chicago Bears. The only thing you would say is he didn't get a transfer window to get his own players in. Swansea were so well ran for a few years but since letting Michael Laudrup go they are beginning to chop and change. Monk did well and should have been kept on, look what he is doing with Leeds.
  25. On Talksport last night, if Alex Neill goes then Warburton would be willing to go to Norwich. Part 5 last 5-10 minutes during the Championship update. http://talksport.com/radio/listen-again/1482789600#
