  1. I dont think Brexit will even happen. The powers that be dont want it and will get a second referendum therefore players / managers will still be able to come and go.
  2. Todays predictions. Some tough ones to predict with games that could go anyway. Man Utd 2-0 Bournemouth Leicester 1-1 Hull Stoke 2-1 Middlesboro Swansea 1-1 Burnley Watford 0-0 Southampton West Brom 1-0 Crystal Palace Liverpool 1-2 Arsenal Tottenham 2-2 Everton Sunderland 0-3 Man City West Ham 2-1 Chelsea
  3. Im "wondering" if putting Senderos or Tavernier in a sweeper role / defensive midfielder role would be better than one of the current midfielders, at least they would just sit and defend when needed. Its a position that hasnt worked out with any fit player this season and the 3 that was bought for it didnt or havent kicked a ball (Barton, Rossiter, Crooks) In saying that Ive never thought it should be vital for a Rangers team when playing a side like Hamilton - no disrespect - but if we playing one then perhaps try a defender. In saying that when playing sides like Hamilton at home and with the players we have I still like an old fashioned 4-4-2. The right side is a bit unclear but Forrester might be the answer in this formation, or even Windass eventually. Foderingham Tavernier Wilson Hill Wallace Forrester Hyndman Holt McKay Miller Waghorn

If the new man is appointed then he should be in straight away and of course working with Murty during the hand over.
  5. Good article, kind of gives me a different view on DoF that he overseas things off the park on all levels and allows a head coach to just get on and run the first team with training and picking the sides. This is key as its always been the gray area for me that DoF is too involved with first team matters. If it clicks then it would work and agree we wont get a sugar daddy, we need to sort the merchandise off the park financial matters which will generate great income, then progress into Europa League to get to the next level. Ive said its about a 4 level game for us and right now we are at level 2. I liked MW until 3 weeks ago then you do see a different side of him but thats all how the fan can judge.
  6. Forest could easily drop to the third tier this year, they are only a few points clear of the relegation zone and played a game more than a few teams. I always had a soft spot for Forest (and Sheff Wed) but if MW and DW go there I would quite happily see them go down.
  7. Thanks will have a read of this with morning coffee. Im quite interested in the league now - have watched the Asian Champions league for years which is quite good to watch, its usually the South Korean and Japanese sides who are the better teams but the Aussie sides and Chinese should be getting better. I was up in Beijing just before Christmas and the difference in culture is like no other place Ive been to, then when I took a train 650km away to Taiyuan its another ball game altogether and makes Beijing seem westernized. The players who go to China will have some deals out with the money because simple things like Internet access can be tricky even in 5 star hotels. They will need translators everywhere they go, the language barrier is very difficult - even Singaporean Chinese Mandarins struggle to speak Chinese Mandarin. Despite the trickiness I loved the places that Ive been to there but people have to do homework first. We think Premier League clubs could go down if money men pull out but China are making Man City look small. But if they get TV coverage it might help but they have to deliver on the pitch. I know MLS is on Sky sports now and Ive no idea how that is working out with viewing or interest.
  8. That's my point but you cant merge teams who are say 60 miles away from each other. But when you get clubs a stone throw away there is a great argument for it. The only stopping area is traditional fans who want to keep their club, but to hover around the lower two leagues and play poor opposition in the winter - I cant work out why they wouldn't want to merge. The Dundee one is tough - OK its a small city but they have been top flight more often than not. Wonder what would have happened if Wallace Mercer had managed to buy Hibs back in the 90s - after a few years one club in Edinburgh would have grown. But Id have imagined you would get the scenario like AFC Wimbledon and Hibs fans would have started another Hibs.
  9. Always thought Arbroath, Montrose, Forfar and Brechin should have joined together and be Angus United. 4 teams within this small area is whats wrong with Scottish Football.
  10. Yup I could see Sheff wed losing a few but good time to have a blip while the chasing pack arent winning. They will get back on winning ways. I fancy Brighton tonight - Hughton against his old side.
  11. Motherwell part company with McGhee.....
  12. Brighton v Newcastle tonight.... Huddersfield can put their feet up and enjoy it.
  13. Shakesphere - you couldnt write it ....I'll get my coat.
  14. Leicester players should be embarrassed, mind you so should Liverpool players.
  15. Whats the worst / scariest away ground? Luckily for me Ive never stepped foot into Parkhead - the two times I went to Celtic away they were playing at Hampden for the season. For me Leicester's filbert St was the worst by a mile - they started a fire during the match and lined the streets after the game - far worse than Millwall. Oxford wasnt too friendly either. Pittodrie - was spat on and kicked as a 15 year old by supposed grown ups.
  16. With West Ham being my English team he was very decent while there but seems to have lost it a bit since then. He cant be any worse than whats going on now but like you say a bit of unease
  17. Always thought he was undroppable. Not saying bad player. Like Pete, he wasnt my favourite. Hemdani was a better midfielder that season for me.
  18. Hit the free kick which let Laudrup score the 3rd at Hampden 1994
  19. Throw Barry Ferguson in also....Undroppable. Good player in his first spell but ruined the team when he came back.
  20. Papac was an honest pro but no statues will be getting made about him. Munro - interesting - I think Frankie has him as his favourite full back. Konterman for me was one who seemed undroppable by Big Eck. And I am still working out why he was even a footballer.

No way....Letizi, Ginzburg, Wattereaus, Roy Carroll, Dibble - Klos was miles ahead of all of them. To think we only signed him because our world cup winning keeper had an injury at the time (Charbonnier)....unbelievable.

You owe me a new keyboard....I burst out laughing. I quite like Malcolm, had a bit of no nonsense about him. Gosh Malcolm and Namouchi were our midfield at one point - both would still get in today.

Amazing response...cheers guys. My team is still the best For me - Klos, Numan and Hateley are so unlucky not to get into my side. 3 world class players there. I was a bit stuck at centre half though, I refuse to put Butcher in and think Craig Moore was arguably our most ever improved player. He was a boo boy with Walters side and everyone questioned Advocaat buying him back from Palace but that was the most shrewd signing ever. He would walk into todays team.
  25. Didnt see Spurs whacking Stoke like that. Stoke are a real pain in the arse to bet on. Got to feel for Southampton in the cup.
