All 3 centre halves would bin anyone so no need for pace. The alternative is drop Stam and Gerrard then put Neville and Cole in as full backs. Players like Ginola who was a legend cant even get near the side. An interesting one is also an all time Scottish Premier team...and they would give them a good go. Laudrup, Gascoigne, De boer, Larsson....
-
Just having a ponder at the all time best Premier League XI.....Gascoigne should have made it but he was finished when he was at Boro and Everton. But overall he was a better player than Keane and Vieira. Im going to pick Seaman ahead of Schmeichel. He was just out standing. And I cant find a place for Shearer - Bergkamp was simply sublime. Had to drop Neville and Cole from the full backs to get Gerrard in the team. Seaman Stam Adams Terry Ronaldo Gerrard Vieira Keane Giggs Bergkamp Henry

Good luck Pedro....Looking forward to next Saturday already.

Dundee United fans plan protest against Stephen Thompson
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Just noticed Dundee Utd have slipped to 4th in the table. QotS are a good bit behind so Utd will likely be in the playoffs but they would have to play twice before the SPL tie. I think they will be in their for another year. -
So far teams on paper who should win are through. Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham. Now one from Chelsea and Man Utd will join them in a bumper semi final line up. Im going to stick my neck out and back Man Utd to get a draw tonight and win a replay. Will be tricky without Zlatan but Rashford should come in. EDIT - Utd without Rooney, Martial and Rashford plus Zlatan suspended. Not sure how they can score without a striker.
-
Just looking at the fixtures - Aberdeen have Hearts at home and Dundee away in their next 2 games, that could easily be 2 points tops. While we have Hamilton and Motherwell at home which should be a banker 6 points.

This managerial appointment is embarrassing
Gribz replied to Ser Barristan Selmy's topic in Rangers Chat
Yeah think he will be ok... Was tempted to do an article on the change of direction but with so much negativity its difficult to do. Its an interesting appointment - nothing more. Very much unknown. But you cant please all fans. Its ambitious and adventurous and for me I quite like the approach. It would have been too easy to re-appoint Big Eck - dont get me wrong he would have been ok short term until the end of the season. Or we could have went McInnes which for me was never a good idea. As I said if he turns out to be poor I will hold my hands up....but Im happy with this appointment. -
Liverpool comeback to win, they are now 5 clear of Arsenal which is a big gap and 6 ahead of Man Utd. Ok those teams both have 2 games in hand but Arsenal away to Southampton is one which isnt a gimmie and Man Utds game in hand is Man City. Plus Arsenal have to go to Spurs then play Utd at home. It could be Arsenal and Man Utd missing out on top 4. That hasnt happened in the Premier League era.

Great coach, knows the game inside out but a terrible manager. He is a good number 2. Yet the Derby chairman is a bit nuts. But Pedro should have first say on if he wants a DoF.
-
A round of applause for Murty and Hill, both very humble and down to earth. I hope Murty gets a chance as a Number 1 somewhere in a few years.
-
Brenda looks sick. Well done Murty - defo deserves to stay on, he has actually done well and won a lot of respect. I did say Big Clint has to have the game of his life and I think he did. I hope he gets another year as he is clearly our best CH.
-
No he was just looking for a scrap. Steve McLaren just left Derby again, he is more of a DoF.
-
8 points is a big gap, I didnt realise it was that much. But we can certainly beat them twice plus Celtic will beat them so its dooable.

The title of this thread is embarrassing...We should never welcome a manager like this...Its what will send anyone packing. I really despair some peoples thoughts sometime....if he fails I will be the first person to admit it but to shoot him down before he is even in the seat - wah nuts. -
Forget what anyone has to say...give the man his chance...dont hound him out or we will be begging Walter back before you know it. We dont have any Barry Fergusons in the squad now so he should be able to control the squad. Im happy with this appointment....welcome aboard Pedro.... I mean you cant make this up - Rangers fans complain about McLeish then we have a new idea and he is number 60 in the list...FFS.

Battle fever on....the beers are flowing in the heat here....happy day bears. Think I will change my line up preference. Foderingham Tavernier Hill Senderos Wallace Holt Hyndman Toral Waghorn Miller McKay

Amen to that my friend.
-
Thats an OK idea if we had Laudrup and Hateley but id rather see us play higher up the park. Big Clint Hill needs to have the game of his life and we need someone to perform in the middle of the park.
-
I think we will stick to Pedro Like I said - he has a Simeone swagger about him and lets give the guy a chance.

Harsh mate...I only comment on conspiracies once there is something to debate....I dont sit in a room and make up stuff like 9/11. -

Get over yourselves and have a positive look for once. Judge by time and results and not by how he got the gig. -
Yup long day here also...Ive got a 8:30pm kick off. I told the neighbour to wake me up at 8pm in case Ive passed out as Im on the bevvy already
-
How do you pronounce his surname by the way??
-
3 homes. I didnt back that. Well done Hull, good win to keep the relegation fight interesting. Didnt think Everton would cuff WBA so easily.
-
And much older than me
