The Rangers Winter 2025 Transfer Rumours and Deals - Thread
Gribz replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
We'll have a problem filling the bench next season then IF Igamane and Raskin joined the above list especially with our injury record. Its one thing reducing the wage bill but if we cant afford signing fees we are relying on loans and freebies. Those two mentioned are very key to staying next season. -
There are fans saying that in call in shows plus pundits are questioning him. He is too stubborn wanted to prove himself right by not buying a striker. If Ancelotti walked into their squad and a striker I think they win the league.

Arsenal bottling it again. They had clawed their way back into the title race but yesterday blew it. Potter with a massive job on his hand but he has to hold his hands up yesterday switching to a back 3 out of the blue.

What a result for Bournemouth. 6th in the league and 1 point off champions league places for a minnow of a club almost.

Welsh Derby at lunchtime.

One thing I would say is they played on awful pitches and tackles were far harder, even in the 80s this was case.

The media push things so football only started in 1992 with the Premier League. All the talk is about Shearer's record being beaten so I went and had a look at the top 50 goalscorers in the English top flight and in the top 20 Harry Kane is the only one to have played all his football in the Premier League era. Even Shearer in 5th place had 23 goals in the old Division 1. You chaps who watched football in the 60s and 70s must have been treated to far better talent than there is now because from the list of top 50 (there was 56 due to shared goals tally) I have seen less than half of them play. In the top 20 I've only seen Shearer, Rush, Cottee, Kane and 3 of those played in the old first division.

Newcastle 2-0 Bournemouth Brentford 0-2 Liverpool Leicester 0-1 Fulham West Ham 2-2 Crystal Palace Arsenal 1-1 Aston Villa Everton 1-2 Tottenham Man Utd 1-1 Brighton Nottingham Forest 2-0 Southampton Ipswich 0-3 Man City Chelsea 3-0 Wolves

Sunderland missing 2 pens, they cant be doing that! 86th and 95th minutes as well so would have won the game.

Burnley v Sunderland tonight. Burnley 2nd on 52 pts with Sunderland in 4th on 50pts. An away win would be good for the top of the league.

GPL Predictions Bluebear54's GPL 2024/25: Rangers vs Fraserburgh

Rangers 7-0 Fraserburgh FGS Dessers -
I think the EPL will do due diligence on this and request some sort of clause that doesnt allow the mens sides in. However if it did happen along with Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham being in the Football League for a long time then it has to be worth pushing. Id be happy starting in league 2.

Yeah couldnt remember her surname. They will be a huge step up to Lineker. Was watching snooker last night and Hazel Irvine has been part of that for decades and does a great job.

I never understood getting rid of reserve league like the 80s and 90s (and prior) - always thought that was more competitive as it mirrored to top flight league and drew crowds on occasion. It was good for players returning from injury. Wasnt there once a OF game at Parkhead postponed and about 25000 went over to Ibrox to see the reserves? Same with B internationals, always allowed fringe players caps. Having a B team in a low league just allows game time for fitness only.

Ive no issue with the ladies presenting but commentating sounds wrong most of the time. If they are good enough then it doesnt matter if they are black, white, yellow, male or half half - but there is too many pushed into the meet and agenda. Soccer Saturday isnt the same, Dawson is plastic, Clinton Morrison makes Merson sound articulate and even the presenter isnt great. There has been plenty women presenters over the years who have been good, Dalglish daughter is good, Georgie Thomson was a joy to look at, Natalie Sawyer on talksport is good.

Haaland just signed a 9.5 years new deal at Man City Have they beaten FFP?
-
I'll give you that, however the the formation doesnt work without the right personnel 😉 But wasnt Chelsea a direct 3-4-3 / 3-6-1 where as Ive no idea what this formation is for Man U, its like 5-2-2-1 but on one side you have a natural full back and on the other side a natural winger.
-
Man Utd so jammy, they are a poor side and we can go there and get something. To be fair the manager needs a summer window but the formation doesnt work in the premier league.
-
Haha Circa 1984. I reckon a kick a boot would have been better than the hairdryer
-
I wish he would. Old School. I just watched "Sir Alex" documentary and there was a clip from him saying "theres nothing wrong with losing your temper" - that is what is lacking these days.
-
Yup Im with you on this. Its the lack of ability to change things that got my bells ringing. Like I said - he seems weak.
-
Then you dont read between the lines
-
I should add - its absolutely right we can now start questioning the manager. I want him to succeed but the excuses are cacking up back time.
-
I just find him too weak and the interviews are getting repetitive now. Like i said in the match thread - St Mirren, Motherwell, Hibs and Dundee = 3 points. That is certainly no blip.
-
Seriously - separate thread for Clement though? First time last night I was fed up of his excuses and nice guy approach. Its like the Celtic game was a fib. I am not one for knee jerks as its best wait to live in the now but holy shit question marks all over him now.
