Everton havent won at Stamford Bridge since 1994. Potter returning to Brighton. The Liverpool v Tottenham (to win the league) game kicks off at the same time as the Man City v Forest Semi - what buffoon came up with this. Chelsea 1-1 Everton Brighton 2-0 West Ham Newcastle 3-0 Ipswich Southampton 0-2 Fulham Wolves 2-0 Leicester Bournemouth 1-1 Man Utd Liverpool 3-0 Tottenham

So was Gavin Rae but I missed him out on purpose

Havent really seen the lad Mulligan but our track record of taking players from Dundee isnt bad. John Brown, Nacho Novo, Claudio Caniggia, Glen Kamara....
-
Agree Scott, I have a feeling for Palace as Villa have played a lot of big games recently. An Aston Villa v Man City final would be the better fixture but Villa v Forest would be my preference. A more balanced game could be Forest v Palace though.

It has been poorer this season. The better sides to watch have been Villa, Newcastle, Bournemouth and Brighton - when those 4 play well its good attacking football. Its been a bit similar to when Leicester won it when so many teams had a bad year despite how good Leicester were. But next season I still dont see Man Utd or Tottenham recovering to be top 6. If Amorim stays and gets 3 or 4 first XI players of his choice they will improve and Tottenham have to change manager and add some quality - Big Ange relationship broke down last year when he criticised the Spurs support for wanting to lose against City.

Id have Jose from the list and its a job that may suit him better these days being in a 2 horse race. Granted he isnt the same manager as 10 years ago but he would command respect and a winning mentality surely for 1-2 seasons to get the league title back. He's also going to be able to attract a better standard of player. Rafa Benitez 10 years ago would have got a vote but he's been away from the game too long. Gerrard's stock has fallen since he left after his two management spells and very rarely does going back have a good affect. It worked terrific with Walter Smith for us and looking to the Premier League it worked with David Moyes at West Ham and now Everton but I dont think those relationships with Manager and Club deteriorated at all, with Gerrard it was - thanks and good luck - and in came Gio who kicked us onto a Euro final.

Rangers confirm Kevin Thelwell as new Sporting Director
Gribz replied to BEARGER's topic in Rangers Chat
Maybe Nathan Patterson aswell on loan if his is fit. -
94th minute for City, that doesnt get much more frustrating. Whats even happening with their 115? Its a good result for Forest though.
-
Financially yes but its actually a double scoop for the owners if we reach the league format in Europe again. Leeds wont be able to offer them European football in the near future unless they do a Nottingham Forest.
-
Im hoping Sunderland go up in the play offs, if they get it together they are a big club. I wouldnt mind Bristol City coming up, they have potential with Bristol being a well populated city and City are bigger than Rovers. But Sunderland and Leeds are Premier all day long. I had bits of the Hearts v Aberdeen semi the other day on TV and fair play to Hearts they sold out their allocation and requested more tickets and had 22,000 in the ground. But Aberdeen's support wasnt great - something between 11,000 and 14,000 which should be more and now their allocation for the final will suffer.

Well done the Forest back into 3rd. Keep it going. Tottenham are just a shambles. Man City v Aston Villa tonight - I think Villa need at least a point or they will be playing catch up again. If they can keep their momentum going then they could win and I hope Emery plays both Rashford and Watkins. It could also be a dress rehearsal for the FA Cup final.
-
I think Sunderland have been resting in second gear and saving themselves for the play offs. They were confirmed 4th a while back. Middlesboro, Coventry, West Brom, Bristol City all losing. Too little to late for Blackburn but Millwall since have an outside chance. Happy Leeds are back up and I do prefer Burnley to Sheff Utd.
-
Im split with Mourinho, his best days are well past but he could surely have enough to win the Scottish title?? A couple of available names to throw around: Edin Terzin - Took Dortmund to the CL final but blew the German league on the last day a couple of years ago. Hasnt worked since leaving Dortmund last year. Steve Cooper - More appealing than the likes of Big Sam, Dyche etc and what he did with Forest was superb at the time. Not fashionable but a decent manager.
-
Burnley v Sheff Utd later today - a home win puts Burnley back in the Premier League. If Leeds can beat Stoke at home before that then they can put their feet up and hope for a draw at Turf Moor.
-
16 points out of the last 18 available for Wolves - superb. Definitely a Premier League club and hopefully they kick on next season. I thought the Man Utd comeback in midweek my have woken the giant after a slumber but they are back to losing again. Agree about Ben White - All the pundits were going on about how much Arsenal were missing Saka when he was injured but they totally missed out how much they missed Ben White and how much Saka missed him also on the right hand side. His runs create all the space for Saka and for him to be a natural centre half to being the best RB option for England (now that Walker has slowed down) shows how good he is. What a steal for Chelsea, its over to Forest tonight to see if they are the real deal.

I "think" Ive got a couple of cracking framed pictures of Ibrox in storage. I bought them from the club shop before a CL match around 2000 (had to humff them up to the Club Deck and its a tight squeeze enough sitting there without a couple of framed photos on your lap). I know I bubble wrapped them when I left the UK but that was 20 years ago. I will try find out if they are still with all my belongings over there and if they are good I will send you a message and you are welcome to them.

Yeah its definitely game of the day and Fulham's main derby. They are in a good place to get Europa or Conference Football which would be good for them. We are not alone chaps about some poor games - both Talksport and ESPN clips from last night said they are also getting bored of most games this season, its all so sideways. I started watching West Ham v Southampton yesterday and lasted 30 minutes before switching to Snooker.
-
Everton get a winner last week when you dont want them to, then concede two late goals when you dont want them to. West Ham cant let Potter go into next season, just get rid and go and pay Brentford for Thomas Frank. Amazing result for Villa, its very close for the CL spots. They have to go to Man City in midweek - on form they can win there.
-
What a game at Villa Park today. Both have won 5 out of their last 6 league games. Just wonder how much Villa have left in the tank from the PSG game but they should be up for it knowing this is their route back into the competition. All the teams going for the Champions League places have difficult games this weekend. Brentford 2-2 Brighton Crystal Palace 2-1 Bournemouth Everton 1-0 Man City West Ham 3-0 Southampton Aston Villa 3-3 Newcastle Fulham 2-1 Chelsea Ipswich 1-2 Arsenal Man Utd 2-0 Wolves Leicester 0-3 Liverpool Tottenham 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Yeah Coventry against the Birmingham clubs are practically derbies and high a bit of bite. Its a short trek but poor Plymouth have the 450 mile journey up to Middlesboro today. But they can give the Sunderland fans a wave on the way past as they travel down to Bristol.
-
Thought Souttar was getting everything in the first half and unlucky for the pen.
-
Full card of fixtures today. Game of the day is Coventry v West Brom, 6th v 7th and separated by 3 points and WBA have a better goal difference. Bristol City v Sunderland is 5th v 4th although Sunderland should be preparing for the play offs as they have finished 4th already. Derby v Luton at the bottom are separated by 3 points.
-
What a finish at Old Trafford and somehow Tottenham won in Frankfurt. An all English final would be good although Im hoping the Norweigans go on and win it.

How can Dessers shirt being ripped off not be a Pen. Okay the big man goes down easily but rightly so as if you dont go down you dont get the pens 99% of the time. Why was it not even looked at - yet he gets booked for coming straight back onto the pitch after changing the jersey - why is that even in the rule books because he didnt go off with an injury. Yilmaz going off changed our plan A but not only the decision to put Diomande to LB was bad but that meant putting Jefte to left centre half which is worse! What a waste of a sub, which meant Hagi had to come off at HT to correct the decision and 2 minutes later Balogun comes off injured. For the second game in a row we started to actually play when going to a back 4, we had more possession second half. But that was a tough cauldron to go into. Had Propper not been sent off so early in the first leg things could have been different. Its a good run again in Europe and we certainly werent out of our depth in the tournament. Kind of hoping Man Utd go on and beat Bilbao in the Semi's.

Brilliant performance from Arsenal, thats how you go away from home against a big team and play when defending a lead. Real Madrid were equally awful. Saka was a lucky boy with that penalty miss, imagine that had cost Arsenal! Only downside was Partey getting a silly booking late on when they are already through and now he misses the first leg of the semi - which is at the Emirates. Seems to be a common denominator that PSG are now a machine type team and RM are now individuals = Mbappe. None of the big boys turned up, Bellingham was poor, Vini Jr couldnt have an impact. Fair play to the Referee - he went back and gave Arsenal the Pen in the first place which was a pen all day long and then he corrected the RM Mbappe penalty and rightly so infront of 75000 RM fans - hats off! Inter did their job and a nice Semi final line up. Barcelona v Inter Milan Arsenal v PSG Picking the finalists is difficult enough, never mind picking a winner. But I have to stick with Barca.
