Hopefully Ibrox is absolutely bouncing on Saturday after this verdict. This has been a good day for all concerned. -

Christ almighty don't tell me - it's part of some sort of Masonic conspiracy. -
BBC Scotland report NO titles to be stripped but are fined £250K

Just had a look on the BBC Sport website as they've a ticker running on the days event. the level of bile and hatred for our club is unhealthy for so called 'fans' of other sides. They would rather see Rangers die than go out on a Sat and support their teams the way we are currently doing. It's absolutely pathetic and it shows why we are desperate to leave this bigoted wee country. -

I can see a guilty verdict, a fine and perhaps expulsion from the Scottish Cup. The stripping of titles would see this case go stright to the Court of Session and, if need be, to the Court of Arbitration of Sport. There is no precadence for a team to be stripped of titles for so-called "financial doping". -
I agree up front is his best position but he must play at centre half until the end of the season as a stop gap unless someone from the reserves can make the step up.

Ally - Not Wanting To Put Pressure On The Lads
Tumshie RFC replied to chilledbear's topic in Rangers Chat
Our defending this season has been nothing short of embarrassing. The only defender worth keeping is Lee Wallace. Surely there must be someone in the under-19s who can do a better job than that bombscare Cribari? -
Play McCulloch and Hegarty in the centre of defence. Want to see Andy Little continue up front instead of being shunted out on the right and Cribari is just a walking disaster.
-
I'm playing fives tonight so I won't be. The first game on RTV was a bit of a disaster as it took about 25 minutes for the game to come on but it was much better the last time.
-
Play him in the middle then. He can't do any worse than some of Shiels' performances this season. The lad deserves his chance.
-
Really don't want to see Andy Little stuck back out on the right. He's a striker in form and should be played through the middle with three pacy players behind him. If McCoist is going to drop McKay I wouldn't mind seeing Robbie Crawford getting a chance. The lad seems a cracking prospect and definitely knows where the goal is.

I said exactly the same thing yesterday when I was up at my dad's watching the game. Swansea really are a joy to watch and it shows what can be done on a small budget.
-
Hopefully we can get some of their coaches and show our players that the training of a professional footballer isn't just turning up for three hours 4 days a week and playing on a Sat.
-
I think Bell would be on a considerably lower wage than Alexander which may be another reason for the move.
-
Billy actually drives our Rangers supports bus now. He is always late but like his tackling
-
What a great thread!! Three favourite McCoist goals are 1. Diving header against Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final 2. Overhead kick in the League Cup Final against Hibs 3. Header against Dynamo Kiev in the European Cup when he meant to head it one way and ended up in the other corner. Another notable mention for me would be during the 8-in-a-row season when we were 2-1 down to Raith Rovers up at Kirkcaldy. Ally scores the equaliser with about five mins to go. He then scores the winner with about the last kick of the ball and runs straight to the bench. Could see just how much it meant to him.

Why shouldn't it be 55 and counting when Gers win the Div.3 title?
Tumshie RFC replied to a topic in Rangers Chat
It won't be number 55 until we win the top league again. Claiming this as number 55 is something the Tims would come out with. It should be counted as a trophy and nothing more. -
One thing I'll say about Laudrup he's never slow in coming back to Ibrox; it's obvious he loves the club. This is in contrast to Paul Gascoigne who only seems to turn up at Ibrox when he's got a book to promote.

The guy is a complete and utter goon. His track record speaks of a failed national team, a league structure that's falling to bits and the failure to stop Scottish football sliding into the abyss. Aye you've done a great job Regan!!

Paul Murray-The Rangers Standard Interview Part 2
Tumshie RFC replied to Steve1872's topic in Rangers Chat
An excellent interview. One can only hope BDO examine the case fully and get to the bottom. I want those people prosecuted in a court of law for what they have done. If that means more dirty linnen has to be washed in public then so be it. There should be a full scale public inquiry into what happened at the club. -
Would be interesting to see how large our TV audience is on ESPN compared to the EPL games. If we are getting good figures compared to them then why would ESPN pull the plug?
-
The ESPN point is correct and makes our stats even more remarkable when you consider that a couple of those matches were also home games.
-
The governing bodies simply making stuff up as they go along. Whatever happened to the McLeish Report? What a waste of time and money that appears to be.
-
Not sure whether it will be peanuts but it's all to do with advertising.

Seen an interview on the BBC Sport website with big Ehiogu. Very complimentary about his time with us. Interviewer: You spent a year at Rangers. Did you have an inkling that they were in financial trouble? UE: "When I was there in 2007 there were rumblings of trouble. We had players leaving to go to Blackpool, teams like that who, with all due respect, are not as big a club as Rangers. But they could offer more of a salary, so that started to make me think this isn't right. It's sad to see it go the way it has. "I never had any trouble with wages or anything, it was always handled well. But going to a club like that we didn't even discuss a contract really. It was just, 'do you want to play for Rangers?' When Walter Smith is on the phone asking you that the answer is always yes. We sorted out money once I was up there. "
