    new to gersnet

What i really like about this board is there are no egos. You can speak your mind with out being called a Tim poster and most people seem to be fairly educated people. There's not a tonne of stuff about Northern Ireland or daft wee boys that text talk.
  2. TBH, we don't have a foot to stand on. This shit doesn;t do us any favours at all. "IF" Lennon leaves them because of this the whole footballing world will be looking at us in a bad light. This is undefinable. No matter how any Rangers fan tries to deflect this, it aint Celtic fans that are sending them. It needs to stop as its playing right into their hands
  3. LOL, nah mate. The food is top notch up there too, and that is not me with the blue tinted glasses on. They could may be have a slightly bigger menu though. But the wee fella that runs the place, who is in turn the stadium manager knows his onions
  4. I'd say right now is possibly the most important period in The Rangers history. When Souness came that was more groundbreaking as we were not in the poop financially, just a crap football team. But this, in the current Global financial situation, it's imperative we become financially stable
  5. Rangers are the thing we love the longest in life and it's unconditional. We should outlive our parents and we are on this earth longer than our kids. They fucking frustrate us, make us cry, make us scream with joy, and bring good people together. We truly are the people

Exactly. Murray gets shit, and deservedly so, but those idiots, as you rightly say, run the club from day to day. I read tonight one is a chartered accountant!!!!! He should be fucking sacked on the spot. The thing is, this is going to get very ugly now, i don;t blame CW if he walks, i do acceot that we must be sceptical about him but like most, i'm prepared to take the dive and support him.

What gets me is why didn;t he come in with a plan months if not years ago???????? Like all of us, i have been sitting here puzzling and getting frustrated about all this. I've come to the conclusion that the current board are all fucking "yes men" and none have had the backbone to knock on SDM's door and give him it straight.
  8. I would think so
  9. http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/rangers/244381-whytes-patience-wearing-thin-after-latest-rangers-takeover-claims/ Prospective Rangers buyer Craig Whyte is understood to be “frustrated and angered” by a statement from the takeover sub-committee, which claimed they were yet to see proof of the necessary funds to run the club. STV understands the businessman, who has negotiated a Ã?£27.5 million deal with Murray International Holdings and Lloyds Banking Group, is exasperated by the claims of club chairman Alastair Johnston. Johnston said the board hadn’t received “a detailed working capital statement demonstrating that there is sufficient funding in place to meet the pressing needs of the club”. However, a source close to the deal told STV: “The move by the board makes no sense at all and is clearly a misguided attempt to further delay or disrupt the deal. “The deal Craig Whyte was putting forward was worth Ã?£52.5 million, more than double the amount which is said to be raised by an unnamed Rangers director. “Mr Whyte is frustrated, angered and his patience is wearing thin. “If the takeover took place not only will the debt be wiped out but, on day one, Ã?£10 million will go into Rangers’ bank account as working capital.” The proposal of a current Rangers director to raise Ã?£25 million of fresh capital was also raised by Johnston, who stated: “Whilst the proposed transaction has addressed the interests of Lloyds Bank, the Murray Group and Craig Whyte, our perspective is solely directed towards the future of Rangers Football Club. "To this end the board has had an approach from one of its directors who wishes the board to consider an alternative funding option. This would involve a fresh issue of new capital to raise Ã?£25 million to be invested directly into the club. “The board believes that it has a responsibility to examine this proposal whilst continuing its review of the Craig Whyte transaction.”
  10. SSN said they are going live to Scotland soon about this
  11. it's the second time. My uncle at 89 LOVED it. it's brilliant listening to his stories about the Rangers teams of old. he was a Third Lanark and Rangers supporter and always keeps and eye on Queens park. He's as sharp as a tac still and what i would call a pure football fan. He's from Williamwood now, but was brought up round the Clarkston/Busby area. Anyway i'm off to get my ears syringed then off up to Ibrox
  12. I'm off to Argyle house for my lunch again today. No doubt i'll be able to pull John Grieg up and ask him what's happening. or, ask the wee lassie that serves us and get told "I don;t know a thing"
  13. Bougie has had an ave season but still played his part. Footballers never ever play at the highest level every year. If he gets a good rest in the summer he will be back to his best next year. Remember, Ramadan was during the season this year, that does knock a hell of a lot out of them. But, IMO his mind is totly focused on a move south and i have accepted he'll be gone next year
  14. Right. I never say shit like this but. My best mates boss, whom i know too plays golf with Park. He has categorically stated to my mates Boss he wil not buy rangers. Now, this isn't two business guys talking, this is two good friends talking. I know if i read one of you lot saying this i'd be sceptical, so take it with the big bunch of salt it should be
  15. Yeah i get that too. I am scared that on the first day of this tax case that the Club have been presented with a great big "TAKE THAT" from leftfield that is going to cripple us more financially. it's all very fustrating
  16. That's my gut feeling too
  17. Instinct tells me this is an ego driven agenda. A few in this board know they are going to be out a job when he takes over so they are trying to hold onto their jobs rather than take care of the club
  18. http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/rangers/244236-whytes-takeover-of-rangers-delayed/ Businessman Craig Whyte's takeover of Rangers has hit a snag with talks over his purchase of the club likely to continue at the end of the current season. Whyte has been in lengthy talks over a move to buy Murray International Holdings' majority shareholding in the Ibrox club. While no deadline had been set for the takeover of the club a conclusion to the process had been expected in a matter of weeks, if not days. It now appears that the move, which is subject to approval by an independent committee attached to the club, has been delayed. A source close to Whyte has said that the hold-up is not due to any hesitation on the businessman's part. The source said: "Craig Whyte is in position to close a deal immediately. "Everything is ready to go but some members of the independent committee are dragging their heels and want to delay a takeover until the end of the season." More to follow...
  19. https://twitter.com/#!/BBCAlLamont Getting wind of a seemingly serious snag in the #Rangers takeover talks. Craig Whyte's camp feel board members causing delay. More to come
  20. No worries
  21. That's a different entity though mate. I know fine well SDM splits the support. The kind of person i am, i can't help see the good in people. I was a season ticket holder for most of the nine in a row and remember the feeling i used to get walking out Ibrox during those times. BUT!! I know he's fucked up since then, to put it mildly, so don;t think i am defending him over his recent years at Ibrox
  22. I still maintain that SDM will not sell us to anyone that can not take us forwards. Also, he's not daft, him, Walter, and CW know that confirming the take over tomorrow or this week has a massive psychological lift for us as fans, the dressing room which has a knock on effect to the atmosphere at Tanadice and Ibrox as well as giving the players an adrenalin injection. The timing of this takeover might have been engineered for this week on purpose??

  24. Miller went because he was going to £200,000 a month in his bank. I can't blame him for that tbh
  25. Deffo and my pooper is going already. Is it on tv?
