David Vaughan tempted by Rangers move as club make approach
Bears replied to Stefanovitch's topic in Rangers Chat
Money should be more important than Medals for players -
You've got to be when talking and thinking about players. this crazy notion of "every Rangers player should stay with us forever" is baffling to me

The only thing anyone should be loyal to is family. If that means moving jobs to earn a lot more money you are foolish not too, especially in a career that doesn't last very long. The romantic notion that every play that plays for Ranger should never leave is great but in reality unfeasible and frankly, a fantasy

Fair dooz. I have no clue about all that side of business, just putting it out there
-
My feeling is now, that Bain negotiated his "own" contract and took the wage rise during a time at OIbrox when we all knew we had money problems. While nothing illegal has been done it's not good practise when in reality he should have taken a wage reduction in that time to send out the right message to us as fans.

Was he not the guy that said Motherwell should stick together after the SCF?
-
me neither. Medals are all well and good but when you're 50 with no pot to piss in they don;t look as good

The problem is his take home in Turkey is £50,000 a week. So in the 4 months he's been there he's made a million pounds minimum which no one at Rangers makes. there's two things to take from that. 1. he's made a fast buck and should be comfortable for life now if he's sensible with money. 2. Would both Rangers and Miller be able to agree on a sensible wage for him?

I asked Andrew Dickson on Twitter if Rangers helped the kids academically and he came right back with this answer which made good reading dicksonandrew Andrew Dickson @Frank_Bear They've helped them academically the whole time I've been there - afternoon classes at MP, homework, one to one tuition, etc

yeah makes sense

True, but was his main job not to find a new owner for us in the long run?
-
We walk the same path mate. it's not good at all. AJ knows this game inside out and will have a good instinct of who's good and who's bad. Maybe this is just a gut instinct from AJ? Or maybe he has been shown something about CW that suggests that he can't take us forwards in the ways he's promised?
-
Which is worrying in many ways. it's deffo not positive
-
This is worrying words from a guy with his experience

Especially as he's not paid for the job. there's a few twists in the tail yet obviously

Clyde just said that the Baingate issue is an internal matter which means as it stands right now it's not a criminal issue. John Grieg is staying on the board and Dave King is to consider his position
-
He was always going to do it, it's no surprise, it's the "Baingate" i'm worried about. This could lead to people going to jail
-
We shouldn't look at Bain being suspended for irregularities as a good thing. If our CEO has been mishandling our finances it could lead to long drawn out court cases involving The Rangers. Ultimately it could lead to MB going to jail which does reflect badly on RFC as a club
-
I agree, but i am behind him 100% as i do firmly believe that SDM will only have sold to a good guy that can take us forwards. maybe he wants to sort out the boardroom first, get his own guys in. Have the first proper boardroom meeting including Ally, then he'll come out and have a proper open mike ask what you want press conff?
-
Possibly yeah. I'm not a money man in any way or form, but that does make sense, sort of, with me.
