Nope, not by me, sorry, i didn't ask the BK's any such questions or expect them
-
Conflicting stories then, still, he's part of the DM mess
-
Something just twiggd in my head. I can see him changing the team he has in Singers to "Singapore Rangers" that would be another bit of exposure for us
-
Another huge problem Rangers have with TV out here is the EPL is so well ingrained that's it's hard to get people to watch our games as they're always on at the same time as the EPL. Even the OF games doesn't make any difference, esp in bars and clubs. can Ng change that?
-
Yeah. All three bids have alarms bells ringing. The Singapore bid's alarm is the quietest right now, by a long shot too
-
I thought it was the other way round. He said he wants the BK's to win. But if they don;t and it looks like the new guy is gonna finish us then he'll make a new improved offer on his own.

Being sponsered by Tiger Beer might not be a bad idea either. But would they take the risk of the business they'd miss out on from the Grims?
-
Fair enough. it might start in Singapore for a year or two then expand. As you know Singapore is the financial centre out here, they lead the way in business etc
-
These were everywhere from about Feb last year until about Oct last year for their trip out here pre season. I know we can't expect this kind of marketing but it gives you an idea of what goes on here
-
Over here Chelsea and Man U have a deal with Singha beer. There's those MASSIVE bill boards with them everywhere. Chelsea are also sponsored by Coca Cola here. I'm sure you all know they play out here most pre-seasons. Normally. Thai>Malaysia>HK. I'm sure Indo & Vietnam will apear soon enough as a regular visit. What we could do is piggy back with them and be involved in a Tri-country tournament playing friendlies in each country against the likes of Man U, Chelsea, PSG, Ajax etc. That is where Bill Ng expertise and contacts could come in. He could get in touch with the major brands and do deals? it might be a way to get an initial interest in us with the local population first?

Big time. I know you don;t like people being talked about on here. But if MD gets anywhere near Rangers i will NOT be back. I admit i don;t know much about the man, i also have no doubt he's a Rangers fan. But the fact his name stirs up so much controversy makes me wish he'd be a man and walk away from anything to do with fan/Club contact. I believe if he was to do that then there would be far more harmony amongst the fans
-
I don't think certain supporters groups will have any qualms about dumping the BK's and outstretching their tongues into the new owners Sphincter either
-
Good points 1. Rangers games are live here anyway through satelittle tv 2. man U, Arsenal, Che;sea have official shops here, but i never see them busy. You know why? You can pay £4-50 for a top out the shop. or walks 50 ft and buy a fake one for £2 that looks exact same. But is is FAR more expensive to get the EPL package for football here. I have the full platinum package for my TV system. It cost roughly £70 a month. With out the EPL i think it's about £30 In the Middle east the SPL is on the equivalent of free view

I don't trust the yank at all mate, major alarm bells ringing, same with the BK's to be honest
-
What a lot of Rangers fans are reluctant to accept is we're not as big as we think we are. You go around Asia and ask who Rangers are the first thing that they'll say is,"eerrmmmmm, ermmmmm" We are naturally "big" amongst Ex-pats and people with family connections to the club, but outside that, we're fuck all. That comes from 20 years experience and 90 odd countries visited, plus living in Asia for 7 +years now. if Ng says' he can raise our profile amongst us, then good luck to him
-
Paul Murray was on the rangers board for 8 years. What a wonderful CV he has reference to Rangers eh
-
Please get rid. As everyone has said, it's horrible reading about the Bheasts, and it's hours late with most info
-
yeah i know mate, just putting it out there. We're all rightly paranoid about any new owner.
-
singapore is a popular stop off on the way to Iz! Amazing city and people
-
hahahaha. All good. Ask her if she'll be happy with you going to watch rangers pre-season out here.
-
Ally said he talked to Millar for an hour last night and that Miller wants the best for the club
-
The Mrs read that and said,"Tell pete he a flucking plick!"
-
Contact with semi big European football club. Young player exchanges, and obviously making money. To make money then they have to have a Rangers team that's winning
-
Foot ball's huge out here, they absolutely love it. So we're not going into a market that's alien to football. It's not justing Singapore but the region as a whole, if i was to go into town now there'd be football on in ever single bar and club no matter where i was. The benefits to Rangers are his work ethic, cash and his knowledge of the game.

Reports that Bill Ng was at Ibrox today?
