  1. They must be desperate when they start issuing statements that are so full of factual errors.
  2. I suppose it would depend on the administrator, though normally you'd expect the administrator to get rid of contracts like these
  3. It would be interesting to know how and why they ended up round at Argyll House...who put them up to it?
  4. I get the impression that a lot of the funds don't really pay much attention to (for them) small investments like this and tend just to vote for the status quo. Possibly they don't want a reputation for rocking the boat.
  5. The club in the middle of discussions with them decided that they intended to grant Ashey a standard security over Ibrox and Ashely (or the club) submitted the appropriate notice to the Land Register. Not much they can do if the club act in a duplicitous manner.
  6. It is good to know that the club's future is in such good hands.
  7. He may win the war, but he will lose the peace. Rangers supporters will not accept failure on the park, if we're getting hammered by Celtic on a regular basis and are struggling to beat Aberdeen etc, then the support will simply drift away, merchandising sales will slump and all he'll be left with is some property in a run down part of Glasgow, We're not Newcastle, they at least have the consolation of playing in the EPL against a good quality of opposition...we don't have that.
  8. 1. Bank of Scotland, had a floating charge over all the assets of the company. It wasn't specifically over Ibrox. A Floating Charge is a weaker form of security than a standard security 2. He couldn't 3. The sales process can be manipulated so that the property is sold to the creditors preferred buyer. This might be difficult to do with such a high profile asset as Ibrox, but who knows? A slightly different situation but see today's sale of one of Ashely business to another of his companies. If no acceptable offers are received a creditor can foreclose and take title to the asset himself, though this is quite rare. 4. Nothing, but will the board accept such an offer? 5. I don't think this will work, as far as I can see the SFA are concerned with who controls the club, not just who officially owns it 6. no
  9. If Ashley has such good intentions for the club he could have bought shares at the recent offering with the money going into the club, rather than on the open market with nothing going to the club. Merlin's constant rabble rousing about our enemies is getting old.....our problems come from within the company.
  10. This statement is somewhat misleading. In terms of S.57(2) of the Land Registration Act 2012. Only the only parities that can apply for an Advance Notice are (1) the party who can grant the intended deed...in this case Rangers or(2) a person who has the consent of the party who can grant the intended deed. The notice was therefore submitted by Rangers or with the agreement of Rangers. The point of the Advance Notice is to protect a deed that the granters are intending to grant - not one that the might grant or one that they are thinking about granting. This is a clear sign that Rangers have agreed to grant SD a standard security over Ibrox. Normally you would submit the Notice about 5 days before you intend to complete the transaction involving the security. So unless the notice procedure is being misused to put pressure on other interested parties, the Ashely Loan is a done deal.
  11. Why would the Bank care who Rangers were sold to..their only interest was to get some money back. It wasn't their problem.
  12. Wasn't there stuff about some middle eastern construction company that Green had been involved in floating and which then failed pretty quickly?
  13. He didn't look any worse than Foster or MacGregor at right back .
  14. He'd need to pick up some Irn Bru as well
  15. I don't think there will be a call for an EGM until Park & co have got their guys safely on Board
  16. You could argue that he made a mess of last season, even though they won the League Cup, Aberdeen failed in the Scottish Cup and lost out on getting second place in the League.
  17. It's not just about getting people onto the board...getting others off is important. Even if they get two people on they can still be outvoted 4 -2. Maybe that's King's part in the plan?
  18. If he wants to own a string of clubs, then that suggests he hasn't paid to much attention to the SFA'rules on dual or multiple ownership - you would have thought that he would have had a look at the regulatory environment he was going to be operating in.
