  1. Where did this contract come from - a decent lawyer you could drive a coach and horses through it
  2. people are entitled to change their mind on a subject, once they receive more information. He was writing long before Lord Nimmo Smith's decision.
  3. That twat McLaughlin was at it again in Radio Scotland's 5 o'clock news programme in a story about Hearts - talking about BDO liquidating Rangers. They are arrogant,
  4. The whole situation has been very unfair on Dundee, though ironically they only got into the SPL because Dubfermilne were treated unfairly last year.
  5. I don't know if the clubs have a lot of choice when it comes to televised games. The TV companies seem to call the shots.
  6. I have been to Rugby Games on Friday nights and really enjoyed it. I'm not sure the Police would be too happy about Rangers playing on a Friday.
  7. How can anyone complain, it was passed by the requisite majority. I don't really see what all the fuss is about.
  8. will the top division still have the split after everyone has played each other three times?
  9. I think that we would be all best to expect the top 22 to do what is in their own self interest and that any benefit for the wider game is likely to be a welcome side effect. - I suppose it's an advance on the top 12 doing what is in their own interest
  10. does SEVCO 5088 have a license to play football? is it a member of the SFA? is it an associate member of the SFL? The answer to all of these questions is no, and that answer being no, the SFA have no locus to investigate SEVCO 5088. It is no accident that this is being raised when the SFA leadership has been given a bloody nose over its latest anti sectarian proposals.
  11. sending someone a recorded delivery letter is not a consultation. There should have been meetings with them and their union/representatives and more.
  12. I think the employment law was pretty clear - the players didn't need to transfer unless they wanted too. There were claims that newco hadn't consulted the players about transferring over as was required by employment law, which seems probable, there were other issues where Green and his team took their eye off the ball, and this seems to have been one of them. The issue that the SFA were involved in was related to the players registrations, which is a football matter. I had the impression that the SFA ruling was related to a preliminary issue and the case was still ongoing, but I may be wrong. It was probably just as well that they left, If they'd stayed,I'm not sure there was the money to pay them.
  13. Is there anything significant on the latest charlotte fakeover tapes?
  14. The problem is the Brother who is to become a Director has never been convicted of anything, has been accepted as a fit and proper person in other areas of business and either has or will pass the SFA's tests. (I imagine the appointment is conditional on this). People are innocent until proven guilty, that's the way the system works and until something is proved he is free to engage in any legal activity. He owns a number of shares and clearly has the support of sufficient other shareholders to be elected as a Director. He must believe that there is nothing in his past or present that will cause him problems, as he will now come under a level of scrutiny that will make anything he has been subjected to in the past seem like a walk in the park.
  15. Juventus or Barcelona! They are more likely to get knocked out in the first qualifying round by a team with an unpronounceable name from a place no one's ever heard of.
  16. for pictures of Carol Voderman?
  17. Durrant was talking about last year, not just now
  18. I'm not sure about this signing. We can on,y register 22 (is it?) players over 21. So to have someone as injury prone as Smith in that number seems a bit of a gamble. I would prefer that some of the younger players were used as the back ups for players like Wallace. Who is next - Steven Hughes?
  19. So English wants Rangers to publish what their defence will be, if Whyte actually ever does go to court?
  20. how would this mean the return of Bain? and why are folk so obsessed about him, anyway?
  21. the question I keep coming back to, is why was the SPL involved at all?
  22. In the end was there really a lot of difference between the deal that Paul Murray's group were offering and the one that Duff and Phelps did with the Zeus group?
  23. I never understood what our membership of the SFA & the SFL had to do with the SPL in the first place.
  24. people like him live in the past because the future has left them behind.
