The fact that hen has (apparently) spoken to the Record will have some sections of our support foaming at the mouth!

I think as a matter of policy a CE shouldn't be on the Board. Part of the Board's job is to supervise him or her,how can they do that properly if he or she is part of the board. Another issue can be,that if a CE is on the Board, he can get caught up in the politics of the Board, rather than getting on with his job of running the business.

Yesterday's board meeting (CG 'stands down' and wants to sell shares)
Calgacus replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I don't know if Paul Murray is good or bad, but he does seem to divide the support (or certainly the online part of it) and having just said goodbye to one divisive figure, I'm not sure it would be wise to bring another source of division on board. There must be someone else who could bring what Murray brings and who would be acceptable to both sides.- 119 replies

Leggat - GREEN REVEALS MYSTERIOUS AHMAD LINK TO WHYTE SHARES

Sometimes I wonder if the reason they struggle to explain what they were doing is simply that they didn't know what they were doing. -
Keith Jackson - No agenda against Rangers we are seeking the truth
Calgacus replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
"When this column suggested earlier this year that huge chunks of the club’s money was disappearing into other accounts, scattered to the four corners of the globe, it was accused of trouble making." This is a very worrying allegation - did the Club respond to it all?- 29 replies

Talking about McColl not having put any money in is a smokescreen. They are focusing on an individual and trying to ignore the fact that somewhere near a third of investors are unhappy at the way the Company is being run. That cannot be good for the long term stability the Company.

Keith Jackson - No agenda against Rangers we are seeking the truth
Calgacus replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Jackson doesn't answer the main complaint in the Club's Statement that their headline misrepresented what McCoist had actually said.- 29 replies

He went to prison for rather more than non payment of VAT - it was a deliberate fraud on HMRC using stolen computer parts.

Make them an offer they can't refuse?
-
Possibly the calculation is that few of the existing shareholders would want to put anymore money into the Club, thus opening up any new share issue for fresh buyers

Jack Irvine says Easdale runs a fantastically successful business - wasn't it his mob that spun the lie that Craig Whyte's wealth was off the radar?

The money isn't Rangers problem, it never reached the Club. It was paid to a private individual, so if there is a problem..it is their problem. Anyway the SFA is satisfied with the Pinsett Masons Report, so I suppose it is money well spent.

Then there was the Dundee United money that they forgot to make sure had been paid when negotiating our license with the SFA et all.

The IPO set out what the non exec Directors would be getting - I do remember there were some observations at the time, that it seemed rather generous.
-
I don't think I've ever been so depressed about the future of the Club - even in the midst of administration I was sure someone would buy it. I just hoped it would be the right people, but it wasn't.

thank heavens... some of those other forums are just to robust for us shrinking violets

As a manager Smith never had any problems getting rid of players who weren't doing their job. I don't think he would have a problem doing the same with a Manager who was failing.

and there was all that money sitting in the London Lawyers Bank Account that could have been used. Whyte never intended to pay the bills.

I hope he gets his statement out quickly before Green's spin doctors start their character assination
-
Doubt it - Green doesn't pay more than a penny a share.

Could one of the accountants among us, tell us whether of not appointing a new broker is significant at all?

It is when Green and crew are hoovering up the money.
