It's a bit strange getting done for singing about something so obscure that most folk would have to google it before they know if they are offended or not!

That's abit unfair. They have a fairly small pool of players to chose from.

Leggat - BOYD BONUS BOMBSHELL AS MATHER AND STOCKBRIDGE SNUB FANS
Calgacus replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
We already knew about the "generous bonuses" these guys award themselves for doing nothing. All Leggate does is give it a bit of context and make a peice out of it. It's a pretty standard trick of the Journalists trade - produce a few hundred words and fill a space out of nothing.- 28 replies

TRS - Journalist Trophy-Hunters Have Rangers in their Sights
Calgacus replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I read that as saying that if you remove religion as a source of conflict, you will still have conflict over other issues. In my opinion the divisions in West/Central Scotland are as much to do with national identity as anything else ie Irish v Scottish/British. -

TRS - Journalist Trophy-Hunters Have Rangers in their Sights
Calgacus replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I don't think he was saying more religion is required, It seemed to me that he was saying that forgiveness and reconcillation are needed ...these are virues under any system of thought, religious or secular. -
Can't help but think that somehow we'll get the blame for it!

Yes - must be great to be able to decide your own remuneration! -

Especially whe it seems they were paying lawyers and PR people good money to avoid the cost of an EGM- 67 replies

It could be true - he probably told his Agent what he was looking for, the Agent would then negotiate it and stick the final contract in front of McCoist for signing!

Barry Ferguson: Bonus culture at Rangers is bleeding my old club dry
Calgacus replied to Steve1872's topic in Rangers Chat
Why should he repay the EBT - it was part of his remuneration package. McCoist's salary was inherited from the previous regime - if Stockbridge had been any sort of FD he would have been trying to renegotiate it from the day 1. I suspect they didn't so they could try and use it to justify their own inflated salaries and bonuses. -

The last sentance is an inherant contradiction - the best way to avoid unneccessary expense would be to agree to the petition and/or allowi the nominations to go forward to the AGM. It would save a fortune in legal costs.- 67 replies

Why should one set of shareholders be allowed to use the official website to damage another set of shareholders?

That doesn't leave much room for improvements to the squad or the facilities.

If this is correct why could neither of CE or FD explain it like this? "not real, money its an accountancy thing to allow for Charles (nealry) free shares." There were other people who got shares at a reduced price - how were those dealt with in the accounts?

When did the disaffected shareholders ever say the accounts wouldn't be signed off? The Club has lost £14 million, thee is little sign that the losses have been stemmed, the IPO money is gone and there is very little to show for it, , you admit that the Board is acting in an underhand manner, the Chief Executive is factually wrong in media interviews, We are supposed to be building up reserves so that we're ready to compete in the Premiership - in less than two years, and it's not happening.
