Would a Chief Executive ever be given authority to remove Directors?
-
Are companies supposed to use the stock exchange for announcemrnts like this? I always thought it was for formal notices about change of directors and the like.

Can I ask who the bear is...
-
No problem. My first post should have been clearer.

I don't think it's important, but the Board were constantly sniping at McColl and Murray because they hadn't put any money into the Club and now they go and appoint a Chairman who hasn't put in any money either - it seems a touch hypocritical to me.
-
McColl is acting for the institutions who have put there money into the Club and are fed up seeing it being p****d up against a wall. How much money has our new chairman put into the Club?

Maybe someone could lock Leggo and Merlin away in a tower somewhere for the duration.... -
I wonder how the usual suspects will spin that!

How many shares does he own? How much money has he put into the club? Those were the taunts thrown at Paul Murray and the others acting for the dissaffected shareholders, so I think it's only fair that we are given this information on the new Chairman.
-
Interesting that he is floating this story about Whyte, at the same time as the Company appoints a relative unknown as Chairman, a bit of distraction agasin from Merlin? The claim that Whyte will be arrested has been made by various bloggers and journalists a few tinmes, if I remember correctly.

Anti-sectarian football laws fear as fans complain
Calgacus replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
The legislation and it's enforcement are two seperate issues. The police are going completly over the top in the way they enforce the act, they have devoted a disporprtionate amount of resources catching people signing naughty songs. Fly tipping is a criminal offence, but you don't see them filming ebery white van thats travelling along a country road. There may well be another agenda here, the chief constable is keen to make clubs responsible for the cost of policing in the vincity of and not just inside grounds. It will be easier to acheive this,if they can portray football as a "problem" and how do you convince people that it is a problem - by plenty of arrests and a lot of publicity given to them. The police have their own game going on here.- 33 replies

I hate the way good Saturdays are wasted for meaningless internationals.

Presumably if the requisitioners got them on board they would be able to find out who they were as part of the deal?

It's not trivial, - it is eggs today and tomorrow it is stones or excrement through the letter box. -
They don't need to do anything - yet - The Board is hasn't hit the deadline for calling an AGM

I've said it before.as customers we have the right to ask where our money is going, and who is involved in our club. The fact that the Blue Pitch and their allies are supporting a convicted criminal and his co-accused suggests that they deserve some scrutiney. The Record may be anti- Rangers, but that doesn't mean that every thing they write should be dismissed out of hand. We've been down this road with Whyte. The allegations of bullying have surfaced elsewhere - does nayone know what is going on?
