Aren't there a number of investment funds among the shareholders?

The Chairman's latest statement makes it clear that there is no way Stockbridge will be leaving. Apparently we owe him a debt of gratitude. Malcolm Murray was on the board, but Green spent a lot of time trying to get him off - maybe he was asking too many questions about what was going on.

The Board uses McMurdo's blog - it is hardly any better than Leggo's.

Whether or not they are interested in the politics most supporters want a Chairman that will act with a bit of dignity and not make stupid statements like this. He can make the his points without resorting to childish language.

Easdale gets a free pass as well, though he hasn't been on the board as long as Stockbridge.

Easdale and Stockbridge have been members of the Board - does that mean they shouldn't be re-elected?

and what is libelous about this particular blog?

It could well be true. Given what we know about the Company's finances under Green and Ahmed and how short of money they were. They were in a very weak position when they were trying to negotiate a merchandising deal and may have had to accept what ever Ashley was offering. Didn't they also have to engage PR Consultants connected with Ashley as a sweetener as well - who don't seem to be doing anything.

Malcolm Murray: Rangers won't survive unless I'm voted back
Calgacus replied to j1mgg's topic in Rangers Chat
To be fair to him, when he was Chairman Green spent a lot of time and energy trying to get him out of the road, so I don't think he can be blamed for a lot of what went on.- 36 replies

I can't abide the songs and chants about the UVF etc, I have friends and relatives (by marriage) from Northern Ireland and not one of them has a good word to say about the so called "loyalist" paramilitaries - a bunch of thugs, bullies and career criminals.

I agree, whatever he is supposed to be, Peralta isn't a right midfielder. The problem is deeper - Faure isn't a right back, and whatever else he brings to the team, McCulloch isn't a center half. As for Moshni - I'll have a pint of whatever he was on yesterday!

Jim McColl backs Graham Wallace as Rangers chief exec
Calgacus replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Everyone they wanted removed (except BS) has gone and we now have a CE with a good reputation. So I think that is a success. They wanted solid people on the Board and that seems to have been achieved - I don't think it matters to much if it is their guys. I still have longer term concerns - clearly the investment funds will want to make money out of Rangers and I can't see how that will be possible in Scottish football.- 17 replies

I'd say they have been pretty succesfull - does anyone think the old regime would have gone without their efforts? I am still concerned about the Greenock boys, but let's hope their past (and present) comes back to haunt them.- 17 replies
