Admin 2 wouldn't do him any good. He would still have to acquire the shareholdings from the existing shareholders and there is no evidence that they would be easy to deal with - especially if they thought King had caused the problem in the first place. It would be the same situation as with Whyte's shares.

The frightening thing is that they got such a basic aspect of company law wrong. It doesn't say much for their much vaunted "corporate governance" and it just increases the impression that they aren't very competent.

Is Mr Paterson known to Gersnet? Seriously, though, the Board needs to get better Lawyers - you would have thought they would have learned their lesson after the debacle about the nominations at the AGM.

I suspect that there's a whole load of reasons why people aren't renewing - the football's crap, the prices are going up, the stadium is looking a bit shabby, the Chief Executive has looked a bit silly at times, the Board doesn't exactly radiate competence, and there is a lot of financial uncertainty. The King thing is just one ingredient the cake. ,
