I think they're done with us and stripped us of all our dignity (almost)...Longmuir has a free reign to say what he likes and he's saying it. The future is bright.

Is the tide starting to turn for Charles Green?

We've actually 'overdid' it regarding signings...we have the makings of a squad who'll steamroller through the 3rd and 2nd Divisions which takes care of the illegal transfer embargo, as for the favoured sniping to the east end club, Green doesn't have to go down that road to cover himself, it's blatantly obvious his club were thrown out of the spl due to tim influence and he aint gonna let it go. Would you rather he said nothing about that lot? That lot are trying to convince themselves that we don't exist any more, 3 years of silence from Ibrox would have that lot believing that to be the case. If Green was 'hiding' away I'd be concerned. As long as he keeps up the 'cheap' sniping while we try to get back up there, then that'll do for me. We are a 3rd Division club in their eyes...but punching above our weight. -
I'm chuffed there's plenty mention of dad's on here, this is my long and boring reason why I'm a Rangers fan. I was born in Paddington, London my Scottish catholic mum and church of england dad split when I was 4, mum returned to Glasgow and sent me to a proddy school because when she was a young girl attending school she was beaten for not attending mass (true) so for that reason mum sent me and my brother to Thomson St school in Denniston....that's why I became a Ranger because all my mates were Rangers. Now my son and grandson are Rangers fans and that's because of ME.....oh, and my mum and dads separation had a lot to do with it too.

I'm comfortable with Charles sniping at the other lot, makes a change considering they've been sniping at us for years. I realise the need for caution, but to use that against him is grasping at straws really and reminds me of the film Life of Brian: "I'm NOT the Messiah honestly....- All right I AM the Messiah" First he says nothing - so there's something in it. Then he says something - and he's even MORE in it. It's ridiculous. It's now the time to put all this pish about CG to bed and move on chaps. -
This has been discussed already and the team who voted no was revealed - but I forget now. Who was it?

The Rangers Standard - Lessons From History? Apparently Not...

My impression of the 'Old Firm' as I saw it was, 'we' used 'them' and 'they' depended on 'us' I can remember the OF were drawn together many years ago in a cup semi, Hampden was under redevelopment so they had to toss a coin to decide where the game was to take place - Ibrox or the piggery, the story goes Joe Jordan then assistant to Brady called it right for the piggery, but Walter insisted the 'first' toss was for 'who gets the right to FIRST call? Jordan reluctantly agreed he had only won the right for first call, he 'lost' the second toss, the game went to Ibrox. Lol!! -
Now that we're off and running finally

Rangers players are on very good contracts, if they can just turn up and go 1-0 in front and keep it the fans wont be happy with just that...big scores will be the order of the day of that I'm sure. We are just too strong to go about simply securing a win, this 3rd Division will be a cakewalk no danger...we shouldn't even be playing there. The boring factor will always be - that's football - now and again Rangers will run up massive scores over the course of the season - of that I am in no doubt. -
Yeah I always thought the 'league cup' gates were never split. Is that the case?

I'm of the impression this could turn out to be an incessant 'cricket score' week in week out...no true football fan could ever be bored with that surely? As the season progresses we will see 9-0 and 10-0 results the order of the day...and fortnightly 50,000 crowds behind it. If not I'll be terribly disappointed. -
Not wanting to stir up a can of worms  heh heh...but Mr Green is like a Mr Rangers as things go. I'm happy with the guy and dearly hope my forthrightness isn't blasted out of the sky in a moment of ignorance and ill gotten thoughts. ....54 and counting is a fact and 'no way Jose' will that be anything other.

Any predictions on how our season will go now that we are getting up to speed? It's only one game (well two) are we 'unbeatable'?
-
Rangers players being called up for national duty is sadly a thing of the past right now...we'll need to wait for that for a few more years but who cares if the players themselves dont? Not sure if the situation at the moment will effect Scotland's qualification for the WC. probably not as we've not seen it for decades. The National team went 'oot th' windae' some time ago, bringing in 3rd division players might make a difference, but Levein is a bottler and will never take a chance on that even if Rangers are playing there. What a wank.

Hope the East Fife owner pumps his windfall back into the game and invest the cash well in the interest of 'sporting integrity' Well probably not.

David Murray is getting his 'bit' in before RFC are striped of titles...why he even bothered to 'come out' is a waste of newspaper. The BHEASTS wont rest until our titles are ripped off us. FSDM.

I enjoyed as a kid getting in for 'nowt' (lifted over) then with 2 empty fag packets in the pocket going round asking punters 'can ah buy a fag oaf ye mister?' with 2p in hand. Every time the reply was 'keep yer money, here you are son' sometimes they'de give you a couple of fags. Firstly I could watch the Rangers for free and secondly I went home with two 20 packets full of fags for nowt as well. Dont mind admitting it, thats how it was. ....as a sidenote I lived next to septic park as a kid and went along on match days to 'watch' fans cars...made good dosh doing that as a youngster, also me and the mates would go around with plastic bags collecting all the ginger bottles after the game (you got money for empties) One night we got chased by the Barrowfield Torch (a gang in the East End who longer exist) and the b@st@rds 'robbed' us of our cache. That was the end of that business. Then I grew up??? lol.

Congratulations Rangers on an emphatic victory and thanks fellow Gersnet posters for your company...made a nice wee change from all the bickering and sniping at each other when all that nightmare was going on (I was just as guilty) WATP lads thanks again.

Are Rangers doing a septic regarding attendance?
