well I'm still fuming at that Tom English article it wasn't even a little bit clever, and what sickens me is there are guys on here trying to justify it. The anti-Green brigade (capital G) have someone operating in the media for them, and writing p***. Hurray!!! Seems to be very acceptable nowadays for newspaper writers and tv folk to have a wee fly kick at us no matter what team they favour. -

Tom English writes anti-green stuff and makes a good fucking wage out of it, he can stick his newspaper fully up his arse for all I care....I can take anti-green on a Rangers forum no problem, but when he writes anti Rangers stuff to pay his mortgage then that is disgusting. Edit that..... -

Peter Lawwell thinks a European league could suit Celtic

Comments like what's being said at that agm is just stirring up hatred in Scotland, it's criminal to say such things and get away with it in this small divided upstanding country. But I'm up for it. WATP! -

Tom English recently tried to explain why timmys crowds are down... Celtic fans now have the glamour, and the cost, of the Champions League to think about. It’s no surprise that some of their number are prioritising Barcelona, Moscow and Benfica over some of the domestic fare. ...at least he's admitting the domestic fare is not worth it. His explanation for Hearts tumbling attendances.....(this is a cracker) Last season, Hearts’ first six home games included matches against Hibs, Rangers, Celtic, Dundee United and Aberdeen. This season, their first six visitors to Tynecastle in the SPL have been St Johnstone, Inverness, Dundee, Kilmarnock, Motherwell and Ross County. Their bumper gates have yet to come. ...what bumper gates is he talking about? Rangers won't be there and timmy isn't into domestic fare due to glamour and cost of the Champions League, his words. He offers no explanation for St Mirren's falling gates? He did say this though..... In their Dundee derby, United got an attendance of 13,538, three thousand more than turned up for their home match with Rangers at the beginning of last season. Anything else, considering both clubs fans practically live in the same street as the clubs grounds, would have been an embarrassment. ...oh, and he had this to add.... In their Highland derby with Ross County, Inverness drew a crowd of 6,766, which was more than attended their first home fixture with Rangers last season. I'm sure that was the first top league highland derby ever, yet the attendance was 1000 souls short of capacity ...incidentally, the record attendance for the Caledonian Stadium is 7,819, when Rangers came to town in 2008. This guy actually has a job in writing for a national newspaper. -

A couple of (home/away) friendlies with them wouldn't be a bad idea. -
The first time I went to Ibrox the regular keeper was Norrie Martin. Some not so well known goalies: Donald Hunter, he played 3 league and 1 Scottish cup game in 1974 for Rangers because of injuries to McCloy & Stewart Kennedy. He played in goal when Arbroath famously won 3-2 at Ibrox, that game marked Dave Smith's last for the club. Dec.1979 a keeper by the name of Young (don't remember his first name) pulled on the jersey twice to answer the call in a time of need. Another keeper who was with Rangers for 5 years during the 80's - Andy Bruce - played 1 game in the '82/'83 season a 2-1 win at Easter Rd, and another game in '84/'85 a 2-1 defeat at Love St. That was it for him.

To be fair to the keeper Letizi he was never accepted from the day he stepped on the park, then he made a bad blunder then got an injury - he came straight back into the team despite impressive performances from McGregor and made another bad blunder in a game, his confidence was shot to pieces along with the fans giving him gyp. It's all here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lionel_Letizi -

The whole thing about the Rangers situation is that 'certain' clubs 'rubbed their hands' thinking they could greedily take advantage of it, the truth is the outcome will benefit the WHOLE of Scottish football, only because of one obvious reason. Common sense, something that Sky TV have I'm sure. Power to the Scottish Football League and all it's members. F*ck the spl. -
I've just came in and read through the last few pages of this thread and I smell fear. I really don't doubt at all that by the time we get back up there crossing swords with 'magnificent' c*lt*c and their compatriots they'll be the ones smelling of fear. Forever how long it takes, whether it's dragging ourselves through these pish leagues or through victory for common sense, they'll be the ones who'll receive the wrath of Rangers. And that's what I don't mind too much about the situation we find ourselves in - Revenge will be sweet.
