What? An invite and the transfer embargo lifted? Can you imagine the furore in kiddiefiddler street and the mhedia? They'd be tripping over themselves in the clamour, while we sit back with grins like the cat got the milk. Will NEVER happen.

Ach...that bloody tom english bloke again, best not to say what I really think
-
Okay, let's say we do get an invite and we accept it, who then do we sign to keep us in the top eight? A bunch of out of contract players who no one else wants? Suicide.

By the time the SFL clubs get to vote on whether we have a bottom tier of 18 or 10, the 2012/13 league positions will almost certainly be more clear. Lets assume the current SFL 2 and 3 league positions today remain as they are. 7 Clubs who'll most likely vote for an 18 team set up will be: Peterhead Elgin City Stirling A. Annan Ath. E. Stirling Clyde ...and Albion Rovers from Div 2 who'll pass Rangers on the way down This will guarantee a bumper pay day when they welcome Rangers to town, something they'll definitely all miss out on with a third and fourth tier of 10, so daft not to. With the top two in Div 2 joining the 2nd tier 12 Clubs this leaves the other 6 (Albion relegated, East Fife play-offs) most likely to vote for the 10-10 system. Brechin City Forfar Arbroath Stenhousemuir Ayr United Stranraer For the simple reason...2 bumper home gates playing Rangers in the third tier. If the 10-10 system is preferred, the play-offs in Div 3 involving Queens Park Montrose Berwick East Fife (Div 2) would go ahead and leave these clubs gambling on what to vote for..... Win the play-offs and it's 2 handsome pay days when Rangers visit in the third tier of 10 teams, or lose the play-offs and get nothing but will secure '2nd prize' of 1 guaranteed pay day in an 18 team set up. Are you following this? All the above clubs decisions depend on one thing....RANGERS, yes Rangers, the one club who don't get to vote. How the rest of the SFL clubs vote...who knows.

I was thinking the same but then we'd be back to away teams, especially in the 1st leg, shutting up shop for a 0-0 It is a bit unfair though when you have a situation like last nights game where the score finishes 3-3 on aggregate and there's no extra-time. Maybe they could alter the rule a little by taking into consideration circumstances where the away team wins in both legs and it finishes all square then the away goal rule doesn't apply and an extra 30 mins should be played. In saying that how often do we get a situation like last night. Unlucky Arsenal

All fantastically gifted players in that list Gribz, but Messi IS the best player I've ever seen He's done this in the past year........ 20 March 2012, he scored three goals against Granada, making him Barcelona's leading goalscorer in official competitions, surpassing club legend César RodrÃguez, who had record with 232. 2 May 2012, became the best goalscorer in history in one season in Europe surpassing Gerd Müller's record (67 goals in 1972–73) with 68 goals 25 May 2012, set new World scoring record in a season with 73 goals in all competitions beating a bloke called Archie Stark of Bethlehem Steel in the American Soccer League in 1924–25. also apart from the 73 goals he had 29 assists, more than any other player. Ended the season as the UEFA Champions' League Top Scorer for a fourth consecutive time, with 14 goals 11 November 2012, scored twice at RCD Mallorca, his 75th and 76th goals in 2012, surpassing Pelé's milestone of 75 goals (1958) in a calendar year, 9 December 2012, scored twice against Real Betis, his 85th and 86th goals in 2012, surpassing Müller's milestone of 85 goals scored in a calendar year in 1972 with Bayern Munich and the German national team, as well as surpassing RodrÃguez's record for most league goals for Barcelona December 2012, New World Record: 91 goals in a calendar year 7 January 2013 Won the 2012 FIFA Ballon d'Or, to become the only player in history to win it four times 27 January 2013, scored 4 goals in a 5–1 win against Osasuna, including his 200th goal in La Liga, becoming the 8th player and the youngest player to do so 16 February 2013, scored his 300th Barcelona goal in a La Liga match against Granada CF, later scoring again in the match to bring his tally to 301 goals in 365. 2 March 2013, scored against Real Madrid, that goal equalled Alfredo Di Stefano's Clasico goals record of 18 9 March 2013, scored after coming on as a substitute against Deportivo de La Coruña, scoring in his 17th consecutive league match and breaking the all-time world record. All that and he's still only 25... -
Personally speaking, I don't want my club to play any of those SPL scumbags ever again, I'd be absolutely delighted for us to join the English league system.
-
Don't take this seriously...as it says at the top. 8 league games to go. If the corresponding results of Rangers and Queens Park go the same way, this is how the top two will look at the seasons end. Rangers.......36...28...6...2...102...32...90 Queens Park.36...16..10..10...57...46...57 90 points is not a bad tally, and 100 goals can't be sniffed at.

Dunfermline? They can go to..... Third Lanark? I'd certainly contribute something.

I watched that dvd - it's very boring - not my cup of tea. He'd be better watching this.......

The amount of times he's fouled is incredible, and he just dusts himself down and gets on with it without complaint, best player I've ever seen. -
Good players who were sh*te under a bad manager - you could compare them to to-days team....only time will tell.

Barcelona face a huge task in tonight's Champions League last-16 clash with AC Milan as they aim to become the first team ever to overcome a 2-0 first-leg deficit since the competition's format changed in 1992. A draw 2-2

Ally should do himself and fellow fans a big favour and quit. He doesn't do walking away - hmm,... so that won't happen - we're stuck with him.

Are professional footballers 'trained' in how to pass a football and take advantage of dead ball situations? I thought that came naturally to them.

Rangers set to remain bottom tier in 12-12-18 plan
54andcounting replied to Steve1872's topic in Rangers Chat
Scottish Football League clubs are being asked to consider allowing 'colt teams' from Celtic and Rangers to join a new 12-12-10-10 divisional set-up. Chief executive David Longmuir suggests in a document sent to all 30 SFL outfits that the colts would operate separately from the 'parent' clubs. He is influenced by the prospect of the Old Firm leaving Scotland behind. And he says "both clubs have intimated their desire to be considered as part of this strategy". http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21763900
