Back in season 1993-94 everything was agreed and signed before the season began, not during. The 3 divisions of 12-12-14 (Premier Division, Division One, & Division Two), would become 4 divisions of 10 - (Premier Division, Division One, Division Two & Division Three), two new clubs (Ross County, ICT) would join the set up. This was decided.... The Champions of Division One (Falkirk) would be promoted to the Premier Division, three clubs from the Premier Division (St.Johnstone, Raith & Dundee) would be relegated to Division One. The club that won Division Two (Stranraer) would be promoted to Division One...five clubs in Division One would be relegated to Division Two. The bottom 8 clubs in Division 2 would form Division Three along with Ross C. & ICT. Fact of the matter was that Stranraer 'jumped' 5 clubs from Division One. All the clubs voted on this and saw this as sporting and fair that the bottom five clubs in Division One should make way for the winner of Division Two, they MUST be promoted. Fast forward 20 years...and this thought doesn't come into it.

This is what the record said in the article....."And when Rangers played Queen’s Park at Ibrox in October, the attendance figure published on the Scottish Footbal League website was 49,463. But the real number given to police was just 34,481 – a difference of 14,982". My question is this.....WHO gave the 'not so real' number to police????

I suppose I must be an internet ultra, I've been known to slag off the performance of our team on here within reason, but I also do the same when sitting at home or out having a meal or in the pub with family and friends. I haven't been back to Ibrox since the 1-1 draw with Elgin (that is my right), that was the last straw for me. I've been a Rangers fan since before Ally was born and I have to say this is the worst side I've ever seen wearing the jersey. I've stood in the distant past at the main doors of Ibrox Stadium in protest along with thousands showing their disgust at what goes on at the club...the internet has helped us not to have to do this any more.

Fans leaving in droves will lose him his job there are already a few thousand who've stopped going since they realised things were never going to improve. He'll need to get the team playing much better quickly next season because the fans won't accept anything else.

We should give Ally up to the end of the year, he'll have had a proper pre-season signed new players and have a far better idea on how to play these lower league teams, can't imagine the 2nd bottom tier of teams being any better than the bottom tier. If we are still watching the same dross we're watching at the moment then surely he has to go.

The video of Davies shows you nothing more than an insight into the man's dedication and a somewhat 'obsession' of the game. Only makes him 'look' a better manager than McCoist.

Old Firm absence leads to drop in domestic violence

It's actually quite a nice peaceful pic of Ibrox Stadium...check the main pic and it's title - a slight on the greasy brigade. -
I'd prefer to go for someone with a better win to games record than his 41%...15 years a manager (with 6 years out the game in between) with only a championship play-off win with Derby Co. on his CV. Nah, we deserve better
-
If that rule was in place in 1971-72 then we wouldn't have won the 'CWC. I'm sure you remember or have read about the 2nd round games vs Sporting Lisbon...just for the record: Gers 3-2 Sp L. Sp. L 3-2 Gers, 4-3 aet finishing 6-6 The ref (must have been a *****) ordered pens - we missed 4 of ours and went out of the comp....NOT!

Aye right enough GA...forgetting they wouldn't get the cup until the last home game anyway. ....thought I'd mention this while on the subject of league trophies, on Thursday night one of my other grandsons (7) who's a wee tim (heavily influenced by his other grandpa) said to the the wee bear "we get a flag when we win the league you get a can of Irn Bru"...as quick as a flash he said "at least it won't be tainted" Brilliant baffled look on the 7 year old's face....he'll be asking the other Grandpa what that means.

Scottish football fucked? League cup final
54andcounting replied to Super_Ally's topic in Rangers Chat
John Brown's Dundee side gubbed Lennon's team a couple of weeks ago - in fact Bomber is unbeaten in the league since he took the job. Unlucky today - played 70 mins with 10 men only to lose an 89th minute equaliser to deny him another victory. -

I'll confess I watched it - wiz no a bad game tbh but that liam mcleod commentary is excruciating don't know how many times he mentioned celtic losing in the semi during the game, also called John Sutton by his brothers name, called the final "the Scottish Cup League Cup Final" Also long periods of not saying anything during play other than who won what over the years, and passing the buck loads of times with "what do you think Billy Dodds"? -

Same here, I only found out through googling why QP weren't playing yesterday - their game was moved because of this final. Daft that the SFL had QP at home in the league the same weekend as their show piece final. Still, that's Scottish football for you. -
POLICE arrested 13 people yesterday after breaking up a protest by the Green Brigade group of Celtic supporters. The group â?? a self-proclaimed â??broad front of anti-fascist, anti-racist and anti-sectarian Celtic supportersâ? â?? had organised the gathering to protest over fans receiving match bans and claims of police harassment. About 200 officers were deployed to disperse the unauthorised march outside the Chrystal Bell pub in Glasgowâ??s Gallowgate about 1pm. Strathclyde police said the demonstration was an â??illegal street processionâ?, with arrests made for alleged public order offences. A police statement said: â??The crowd were instructed that any procession on the road was illegal, but that officers would facilitate a safe and orderly procession on the pavements toward their intended destination at Celtic Park. â??However, this was ignored and more officers were deployed as the crowd became increasingly confrontational and aggressive. â??The situation was contained a short time later. CCTV and helicopter footage was captured and will be studied as part of the investigation.â? http://www.scotsman.com/news/scottish-news/top-stories/13-fans-arrested-as-police-break-up-celtic-protest-1-2841535

Yeah, timmy and the mhedia claimed the near to full Ibrox attendances were just down to 'defiance' now they can say "Ha what a load pish, they were exaggerating the attendances the same as us" - thanks to one of our misleading national newspapers. I stopped buying that rhag a long time ago, any true Rangers man/woman should do the same.
-
I know what you mean, but I was thinking more for the younger supporters. My 10 years old grandson started going with his dad last season and hasn't missed a game since...he's never seen his team win anything yet and it looks like he'll miss out because of what could happen on Saturday. If only we hadn't lost to Annan last week, the younger bears could have had a fantastic day out at Ibrox finishing with the players showing off the trophy.
-
Yes, that's it, they k.o. at 15.00pm...bit of an anti-climax for the fans
-
We can win the league next Saturday if we beat Stirling Albion and QP fail to win against Annan Athletic. Ibrox will be empty though due to the 12.00 kick-off
-
There wasn't any doubt about the attendances at Ibrox from the start of the season to December, but we saw plenty of empty seats at the piggery from various sources....why the rhecord feel comfortable about reporting bull like this proves it is just another dig at all things Rangers. I tuned into the mhanks game today when I heard it was 3-1 to the sheep - the ground was nowhere near even half full. I will concede the crowds have went down at Ibrox, but that was after the turn of the year

Kyle scored 3 for us Sandaza has 2...complete duffers, oh and all the best Kevin

TBH mate I'm sick to the back teeth with stuff about Walter, Craig Whyte, Europe and Admin. I hoped we could as one move on and restart a magical journey back to the top before I croaked it. The pish (and that is what it is) coming from our spokesman who is Ally McCoist and the guy who bought us CG doesn't fill me with any hope for the future. Could just be my way of looking at it, but I fear we've not moved one inch from last years scare not one inch. The defeat and performance and the excuses made for it last week against Annan shout out loud to me that RFC are not in good hands. CG can shout about the worst team in Rangers history at a time when we can't sign anybody...why say that? Meanwhile Ally doesn't change a thing keeps playing the most disgraceful player ever to wear the jersey in Ian Black. Funny thing about Black is we hated him when he played for Hearts now we hate him even more. Big changes needed, question is can Charles deliver? Answer: Not so far.

Ally's sounds more like one of those politician types...you know the type? Cover up this cover up that, paper over a scandal as if it isn't worth the bother and move on. A bit like the Catholic church they tend to brush and excuse blatant obvious things aside with a simple comment or two. Ally time to go, your legendary status won't keep you there forever. Don't lose anymore credibility man before it's too late. Trying to be polite man....step off
-
The culture at Ibrox is an insult to the common man. What ever happened to the big stride forward...1 year wasted and counting
-
Some bloke who likes to watch dvd's and thinks it's important to anybody who's interested about it, happens to wear a Rangers strip on the park in front of 40,000 supporters is supported by the manager shock. Ally time to go ffs.

A lot of talk about 'inviting Rangers back' 'secret non existent sky deals' 'clubs disappearing into the abyss' what's going on? Time to pack the cases and move on...which is the English Conference. That to me is the bright and only real future for our kids with Rangers in their hearts, nothing else. The 54 titles, the 60 national cups, the nine-in-a-row, seven trebles and European Trophy will always be there and....we wont have to serve the obsessed ever again with our presence. Man fuckin U look out.
