  1. 'Trialists' are for clubs to see if a player is good enough for them. If we find our trialists are not up to the mark...can we dump them? Seriously, I thought a trialist was there because he's a 'free agent', so are we 'bending' the rules by playing them?
  2. It's only the 'plastic' ones who'll have an issue with it
  3. Final Score 1-0 Linlithgow Rose will be very angry and disappointed after dominating a very poor Auchinleck Talbot side for 90 minutes. A shocking refereeing display cost Linlithgow the cup when 3 perfectly good goals were mysteriously ruled out. The winning goal was achieved with a blatant handball by the striker David Gormley who was in an offside position.... Hehheh Craig all the above is pish - Auchinleck done well and I must congratulate them on a fantastic victory. 'The Peasy' will take it off them next season though.
  4. Gormley rockets one in off the underside of the bar after 77 minutes 1-0 Talbot
  5. 15 mins to go - still 0-0
  6. McCoist hopes to sign another striker for Rangers this summer Rangers manager Ally McCoist says he still wants to bring another striker to the club this summer. The Ibrox side have already secured the signatures of Jon Daly and Nicky Clark for next season. Goalkeeper Cammy Bell and Motherwell midfielder Nicky Law have also joined the Third Division champions. Honduran midfielder Arnold Peralta and defender Stevie Smith are also expected to confirm moves to Glasgow in the next few days. Assistant manager Ian Durrant and defender Ross Perry had spoken of the need to strengthen the club's back-line ahead of their campaign in Division Two. However McCoist told his club's official website that he is searching for another attacking option. He said: “We have signed Jon Daly, Nicky Clark and Nicky Law and they are definitely all more attack-minded players, that goes without saying. “We could probably do with another centre-forward as well if I’m honest and I’ve already mentioned that to Craig Mather, who seems favourable. “We didn’t have the volume of strikers we wanted last season and we lost Fran Sandaza and Kevin Kyle through the campaign too. “Lee [McCulloch] did a great job for us as did Andy [Little] but you could argue he’s maybe not an out and out centre-forward as he can play out wide and come from a little deeper. “I think it’s important we do sign goal scorers and recognised centre-forwards because one thing we want there which we didn’t always have is competition for places. “The players have to know they must perform or there will be someone waiting in the wings to take their place. “There were occasions last year when we could only play one up front and there was an occasion against Queen’s Park I think when the one up top wasn’t really a striker. “That’s how starved of forwards we were and we are clearly keen to change that as we look to develop a more offensive approach to our game.” http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/227799-ally-mccoist-hopes-to-sign-another-striker-for-rangers-this-summer/?
  7. I was listening to recent - like as recent as you get - live and all that it wasn't the archive stuff you're referring to. I'll give it another listen sometime in the coming week and come back on here and review it....would be nice if yourself could reply.
  8. We'll be in their SPL(2) like it or lump it come 2014 anyway - so why wait?
  9. If we repeated the feat of '72 then GIRUT
  10. It's all in here if anyone's interested......... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013%E2%80%9314_UEFA_Europa_League The spl runners-up are in the 3rd Q round and Scottish Cup runners-up are in the 2nd Q round that's baffling Sorry for going a bit off topic btw
  11. Yeah Hibs are in the 2nd qualifying round
  12. That's how we got into the Cup Winners' Cup in 1971/72 - beaten by Septic in the Scottish Cup Final - we accepted it then
  13. No 6 should be a priority if only for the sake of the country's coefficient - I know we didn't do too well last time out but it's only 5 years ago we reached a final
  14. Good point I was thinking that too
  15. I wouldn't fancy being fast tracked to SPL1 because there's no way we could win it and then c**t**'* certain success would be untainted. The SPL2 though would be fine we would then have TWO transfer windows to build a team capable of winning the SPL1 in 2014/15 for our long awaited 55
  16. It's more than 3 years ago yes..but they couldn't compete in UEFA comps in seasons 2010/11 2011/12 and 2012/13. The irish seasons run from march to October DC won the cup in 2012 so qualifying them for the 2013/14 Europa league. If Rangers win the 2014/15 Scottish Cup (or lose in the final to c**t**) they will qualify for the Europa league.
  17. It's not a big jump Gribz we are going into a 'proper' league now. The 3rd division is the same duff as the 4th. It's in everybody's (more so us) interest to push on with Rangers at the top table. We can drag this out and cut our nose off despite our face and wait another two years until we get back....WHY WAIT? Best thing for every Gers fan is to get back quicker than quick
  18. A True Blue indeed. Haha had to pick on this
  19. I see they have entered the 3rd qualifying round of the 2013/14 Europa League. They like us went into meltdown in 2009 then were awarded a license to start again in the bottom tier in 2010. They won promotion back to the top then won the cup last season for European qualification. A precedent has been set.
  20. I had to wash my ears out after listening to this..... Just a bunch of Gers fans venting their anger with heavy language, not my cup of tea I'm afraid
  21. I'll be honest and say I was a bit disappointed when SS left, he was a decent player in his time here, maybe he can replicate that 2nd time around Fingers crossed
  22. Wait until we get back in there - all the bigots and haters of our club will have to put up and shut up..they'll never apologies not in a million years
  23. This was always on the cards imo Hope it happens
  24. If he finds himself in the Bar-L he'll need to do solitary
  25. Sandaza got the sack for revealing details of his salary. Craig how do you know the new players pay is lower than those going out?
