All Transfer Rumours and silly season stuff

Dundee United managed to win the Scottish League in 1983 using just 14 players. If you have quality then quantity doesn't come into it. Rangers have been proving that now for the last three seasons. -

Must have been told "Right lads, a good performance tonight and you play against Dundee United on Sunday!" -
Love your optimism, but the jury is out for me as far as CW is concerned.

Leggo - rangers face long term threat from spl

I would imagine ALL SPL clubs including Celtic wouldn't want to see Rangers relegated, but in saying that, club owners in the lower leagues might be rubbing their hands in anticipation at the idea. -

According to BBC transfer news "Holt doesn't want to move to Scotland" -
I stopped buying the Daily Record many years ago and if I had been in the shops this morning and saw the big headlines I still wouldn't have parted with my cash to read the story. But as Danny said it's CWs word against them and no former business associates or colleagues have stuck up for him in the past. I hear bookie odds have come down from 35/1 to 10/1 on Rangers disappearing into the abyss because of this latest revelation.

I cant fathom out how Jelavic can be worth £10m when we got him for £4m? All I saw of the player were flashes of brilliance with mostly below par performances and rolling about the deck feigning injury. His vision and first touch leaves an awful lot to be desired, and most of the time his application is a feckin' disgrace. -
Edu has been a stand out recently but on occasion he still gives possession away in the middle of the park when dithering and the fans give him pelters for it but most of the time he wins the ball back and sets up another charge forward. He's definitely the most improved player on the books, no doubt about it.

Barca Bears 26th January 2012 by Willie Vass

Seems a bit odd that a legend like John Greig should revert to throwing toys out of his pram? C'mon John spit the dummy out!!! Naughty step for you. -
That's the thing, Wylde has always been poor, some of our players really stepped up today something got into their heads. Wylde? He's hopeless and doesn't deserve to wear the jersey. As for Aluko he's maybe the guy who's setting standards right now for the team and they are responding collectively, Davis looked really up for it and Edu was superb. I was one who wanted him out the door, but I'll hold my hands up and say I was wrong about him. I'll settle down on Sunday and watch Falkirk put the shiters right up Lemmon and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

1972. Greatest Ever 'Gers team in living memory...

Willie Johnston was a delight to watch as a player. The finest IMO. Better than Lauders. Had a shocking :facepalm:ordering off offence TBH. -
With Naisy & Lafferty courting injury and Jelavic having another sicky - who's ever going to score goals for us come 2012?
-
What happened to the days when guys wanted to play for their team regardless of pay? Fuck those mercenaries of today....I'd play for Rangers for nowt and score a few (well maybe 40 years ago) but I never got the chance to play for my heroes nowadays there are too many c**ts want the dosh to kick a ball about the park with no interest in the club they earn their wages for. Jelavic, is one player who I'd love Ally to ship the f**k out of Ibrox

It's a pity 'Arry wis'ny in charge of WHU, he'd bid £20m for Jela and send his commission tae the dug.

Grecian 2000. Jardine too. -
In the past 7 seasons we've sold Boumsong to Newcastle for £8m, Hutton to Spurs for £9m and Cuellar to Villa for £7.8m. None of these players proved to be worth the money, when it comes to SPL players anything more than £7m for Jelavic is a big gamble by West Ham.

Please, please, please 1-0 Rangers and a wind assisted own goal will do for me.

....love you're optimism, banker wins. Wow! -
I'm sure this case will collapse big time....I'm no expert btw.

You were probably watching that game with blue specks on but Sandaza with better players around him could have taken us.......Our limited resources mean Sandaza should be our player.

Would like to add here for the benefit of young 'nipper snappers' like Craig. Rangers had far superior teams than '93. The '93 team came close to European glory but I watched that team and no way were they better than the teams from the great era of the 60's & 70s. I put this thread on for a reason, not to be challenged, just for fellow bears to see how great we used to be. WATP.
