  1. Obviously it's a big thing in the 'goldfish bowl' of Scottish football that the most famous club ever to emerge from the country may disappear down some drain.....it might be a long shot to plead to the sane to save our institution, but incredibly it dawns on deaf ears! We are in big shit right now but fighting our corner. Hopefully we will emerge from the other side and take our place once again as a strong representative. Otherwise Scottish football will disappear into the abyss and all things Septic will follow.
  2. Basically the average SPL footballer is living a life of luxury as we know it...I hope the guy's who represent RFC show the world what it's like to play football for the club of their dreams, I mean show the world, not that they'de be particularly interested btw. At the end of the day footballers are renegade's only interested in themselves the days of Pele, Baxter, Charlton & Best are long gone, MONEY has took over. Lionel Messi is an exception he only plays football because he loves the game, and subsequently gets paid ridiculously amounts of money for it, there are many like him. The Beckhams and Ronaldo's and many before have taken the money before the love of the game. Let's see how true our players are including Broadfoot and see if they can really step up to plate and show themselves to be serious footballers capable of playing football. Let's see.
  3. Don't want to burst bubbles or rock cradles but footballers nowadays are obscenely paid bucket loads a money that's why it costs an arm and a leg to go watch a game....I for one won't weep when it becomes 'difficult' for them, they'll always move on when they want MORE, they even employ 'agents' to 'fix' them a deal. Watch the exodus in the summer.
  4. Take my advice mate don't listen to that pish Aye! ffs!
  5. If the clubs down south are 'hovering' over our star players then why are they still here? If Rangers were full of class players they'de be gone right now. Basically we have 'decent' players who are capable of beating the scum to a title, that's all, just decent capable players in the mighty SPL. Kenny Miller was 'prolific' for us, so was Kris Boyd, but where are they now? Miller could have won a cup down there but blew it, Boydie didn't even get that far. The SPL is a feeder for dire 2nd tier english clubs that are shown on the beeb late at night. I remember a Rangers side destroying a very fine Bayern Munich mob away with ease 40 years ago and the english couldn't buy those players until Rangers said when. Unfortunately time has moved on and the days of quality, real quality at Ibrox left us way back when Murray's purse became empty. If we lose those 'greats' of the modern era, we'll just simply pick ourselves up and move on as usual.
  6. Only joking fellow bears, this thread is actually about FOOTBALL! Now that things have been secured regarding playing staff (and non playing staff) what is our chances of humping the Arabs next week? And following it up with a resounding thrashing of the mhanks who say they 'don't need us'?
  7. ....because we owe them? What is it 4 years?
  8. Whyte is the 'stooge' to save necks. Whyte the mysterious millionaire Rangers fan who 'hails' from Motherwell.
  9. Was the whole thing set up to bring us where we are just now? Murray/Whyte/Lloyds.
  10. WHO? is 'the REAL reason' why Rangers almost died. Name him.
  11. Sorry for causing alarm apparently a rumour on RM.
  12. Will try to confirm it for you.
  13. I posted earlier in this thread and said I wouldn't be sucked in again. I've been sucked....Cumbernauld everything you say is correct, Ally did lose out in cup competitions to sides we should be sweeping aside and 'lost' a 15 point advantage but give the guy a bit of slack, the people you are playing on here want to give him another chance, respect that view, you've made your point perfectly and I do agree with you but I'm leaning to go with Ally for at least another season mate. Probably because as a player he is a legend, lets wait and see.
  14. He's; a; whanker;;;;;h;e;s a; w;a;n;k;e;r
  15. Any truth in that season ticket holders have to pay (reduced amount of £21) to gain entry into our remaining home games?
  16. Eck has the dubious record of MOST games played without a win in our 140 year history....he did take us into the last 16 of the CL DURING that run though. Weird!
  17. True blues indeed! The pressures on these guys over the past weeks especially this this week have been immense, now they can go home to their families and relax over the weekend, a few days off they deserve it. Thank god we don't have a game tomorrow. I'm sure Ally and the lads will be bursting at training next week. LOOK OUT, Arabs! WATP!
  18. To be fair to Advocate all he was trying to do is what every top club in Europe is doing - BUY THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!
  19. Why not? It's up to the SFA to check out the owners of every club in the country, why weren't these checks carried out on Whyte? Probably too busy looking for email pope jokes.
  20. Now that we're over that 'hurdle' let's hope we don't wait too long for the new buyer. (The fit and proper one of course)
  21. Thanks Zappa, I'm just in and missed the statement on Sky. Any news on what length of time these "temporary" wage cuts are for?
  22. You should find what you're are looking for in thread titled "Latest news from Rangers' administrator Paul Clark"
  23. Anything can happen regarding football and the TV money men. Who would have thought 20 years ago that FOUR English clubs would be allowed to compete in UEFA's top club competition? When people were pushing for that back in those days some folk, especially Maineflyer, would be on telling folk "to get a fuckin' grip on reality"
  24. From the Yorkshire Evening Post: 31st August 2007. Leeds United's summer of discontent took a dramatic final twist today as the taxman abandoned a legal challenge to the club's administrators. The concerns of HM Revenue and Customs about the way accountancy firm KPMG handled United's time in administration were due to be heard at the High Court on Monday. Today, though, the Revenue confirmed it had formally withdrawn its challenge. However, it said it would continue to take all possible steps to secure a "fair return" on the £7.7m in tax and VAT it was owed when Leeds went into administration. Snap?
  25. Danny started this one without knowing about BH's...seems the right thing to do is merge them.
