I've no idea who Tom English supports or doesn't support but what he is saying cant be argued with. -
Rangers in 3rd Division, no Sky money for SPL teams, will selic be able to afford the wages of high earners on long contracts?

BBC Scotland? A very small pinch will do. -
I'll go for 2-2 draw Italy/Croatia, and what Gribz says Spain 4-0 ROI

Looks as if a points deduction is a certainty as far as sanctions go but has the SPL got the power to impose a 75% cut, or any cut for that matter, on our SPL revenue? What would be the point in playing in the SPL under those conditions? If they want us in the SPL that much then I'd rather give them that vicky and start again in the 3rd Division.
-
....it's a double edged sword as far as punishment goes. Severe sanctions could mean Rangers fans boycotting away games, although admittedly they'll still get the Sky money.
-
...our league simply isn't strong enough to eject a main player, in England it would probably be different if say a Chelsea or an Arsenal ended up in our situation, most clubs down there could easily get by without them.
-
The Scottish League was reformed over 30 years ago to allow clubs to generate more money from playing each other 4 times a season - two home games against the OF being the main reason. In recent years the attraction of four OF games has brought Sky TV on board. Do you really think the SPL will throw all that away? I very much doubt it. As for selic, yes they will vote us out knowing the rest of the clingers-on wont.

Horse-trading and hard thinking will determine whether SPL clubs will vote to accept a newco Rangers in the Scottish top flight. If five clubs are against, they wonâ??t. Many imponderables must be factored in, chief among these Skyâ??s attitude to honouring their £80m five-year deal, scheduled to begin this coming season, if Rangers are not in the SPL. Clubs could be willing to vote for the new Rangers, with sanctions attached, in return for them agreeing to change the current 11-1 voting structure on the distribution of centralised revenues. Here we look at the possible standpoints of the 11 clubs:........ The Polish and Russian fans are knocking hell out of one another on the streets, I can see the Ruskies winning the battle on the field in a canter.

Do Charles Green's recent comments & statements actually stack up?
54andcounting replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
I think you're guessing for guessing sake to put across your point, good on you hope you're wrong mate. -
I'm only posting this thread in retaliation to the 'NEGATIVE' posters on here. I genuinely have a liking for Charles Green and his latest business move into Rangers FC, Why not? I don't have any doubts at all about the man and his credibility and qualifications on leading our club out of this extremely dire situation. I'm a little pissed off with all the negative crap on 'Gersnet' it's like reading the BBC Scotland teletext service at times without the Dundee Utd owner or the St Mirren owner and the rest throwing their tuppence worth into the demise of Rangers. Maybe I'm going over the top about comparing 'Gersnet' to the bheeb but really.....some of the doomsday threads on here appear comparable to what the BBC put out....and that's shameful.

Where forlan is concerned 'Drama Drawers' come to mind. -
You are just like the unsung Rangers fan, like me, those who only want what's best for Rangers, who only hope that everything turns out for the good. We all loved Murray and his Millions, when that bombed we all loved Whyte for rescuing us from that 'rip off', then we got another boot up the shiter when it turned out he was even worse? Then there was Bill Miller...he got a with all intents "Get it up you" message (well, it was embarrassingly more than that) Now it's Charles Green who's wanting to take over? Why would he want to? Some say he's gonna take us to the grave others say he'll take us to our rightful place at the top of Scottish football. I think Charles Green is a genuine sort, I could be wrong in the same way I was wrong about Murray and the shitbag Whyte, but what else can I think?

Ronaldo is a rich kid who thinks football is a circus.
