Former Rangers owner Sir David Murray's profits soar
forlanssister replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
King is a Rangers fan and the biggest investor in the history of the club as well as being the current Chairman and controlling the largest shareholding. He genuinely cares about the Club whilst David Murray simply doesn't give a flying f*&k about Rangers. King was a major shareholder in Old Co, David Murray was not. Murray had ample opportunity to take legal action against Whyte in regards to the intiall Share Purchase Agreement long before we entered administration but chose not to. I assume you mean Old Co and imagine that technically it is still owned by its' shareholders though controlled by the liquidators. The previous largest shareholder was Murray Sports Limited (not David Murray, though in fairness King's shareholding was not directly owned either) which was dissolved following a debt waiver of over £60m from MIH, MIH is now being liquidated at the behest of the Bank of Scotland in an attempt to recover hundreds of millions of pounds owed. The Bank of Scotland would be the beneficiary of "Murrays shares". That is what King was alluding to. Indeed. Given that as far as Rangers are concerned David Murray never ever played with his own money it's perfectly logical to deduce that he never could or would change the habit of a lifetime and embark on the tortuous task of uniting Old Co and RIFC plc. There are oceans of technical crap to overcome. -

The world and his dog know how (and why) King could do it but I'm at a loss as to how (and why) Murray could do it, but I could be persuaded by a logical and rational explanation so the floors yours as they say. -

Of course it's theoretically possible as King stated (with a fair wind and a hell of a lot of luck) but the notion of Murray dipping his hand in his pocket to further that particular cause is frankly laughably ridiculous. -

Pray tell, how? -
We really need to move past the signing of old players we're travelling down a different road now. I've absolutely nothing against any of the players that left but see little value in any of them returning.

RANGERS have snapped up Scotland Under-16 captain Jack Adamson

We originally took him from them. -
Been in the presence of some of the blind party at away games on a few occasions, it was a bit surreal, very humbling experience at times quite amusing and uplifting. There is commentary available at some grounds Ibrox being one of them, though some still prefer the commentary from someone next to them. http://www.rexblindparties.com/index.htm https://twitter.com/rfcblindparty

I fail to see the need for or any benefit in a listing, in any case AIM regulators f*&ked us over rather than face their own failings. As far as we're concerned the pool of institution funding has long run dry, we're strictly an emotional investment for the foreseeable future at the very least.
-
Yes improvements have to be made in respect to the blind fans and also the ambulant disabled too, the aim is access for all.

Pardon me for having an opinion!

Perhaps but if that plan is going to bear fruit then it's me and my ilk who need to be persuaded to become members.

Looks to me as if it's more a de facto takeover of the RST by RF than an actual merger . *for clarity I'm not a member of either organisation*

If the Disabled Access page is an indication then I'm distinctly underwhelmed, information is over a year out of date.

I credit the overwhelming majority of posters on here (yourself included) to read that and have the wit to fathom what it means, A Brief History Of Time it ain't. I suspect you're trolling hoping to hook someone so you can indulge in your favourite sport of pontification.

Long said the claim is one of mere nuisance value.

Should Rangers fans help subsidise accessibility plans?
forlanssister replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Yes access is one of the major issues to overcome and the design and construction of the stadium do not lend themselves to easy adaption, health and safety issues as you point out complicate matters even further. This is one of the reasons I favour a step by step stand by stand approach where the provision of the facilities go hand in hand with the general upgrading/refurbishment of a stand, whilst that may take longer than would be ideal I feel it would be better all round. Temporary facilities (such as those you see at concerts) could be installed for European games, I'm pretty sure if UEFA were to see that the improvements were being installed in a planned structured manner over a few seasons that they would take a favourable view, there is a precedent for such actions the Europa Cup Final that took place in Fenerbache's new ground a few seasons back had temporary wheelchair facilities installed for the final. -

As far as I'm aware there is still a waiting list, prior to the 35 spaces being installed in the East Enclosure the waiting list was over 10 years long, (presently I don't know how many are on it or how long it is). The UEFA guideline on capacity shouldn't be viewed as a maximum. I see no reason for not catering to casual wheelchair fans, there's a type of seating that can be installed that can convert to a wheelchair space if needed and used in the normal manner if not. -
Has to be Hardie, Clark simply is nowhere near the required standard, one of the worst if not the worst footballer we have on the books, giving him game time ahead of Hardie is pointless.

As I stated in the article I do have a degree of sympathy for the current incumbents as it is they who have to effectively carry the can but in saying that two of them were on the Board when I was raising the point on the lack of suitable facilities at the AGM's back in the David Murray era.
