There's a reason he fought to have his own administrators appointed. He told the players if he got his own administrator appointed then he would still be in control. Had HMRC got to appoint administrators then there would have been a detailed forensic examination which I honestly doubt is part of Duff & Phelps remit, he who pays the piper calls the tune.

Paul Murray registers interest in buying Rangers

The entire deal should be the subject of a Judicial inquiry there are relationships between Lloyds and other parties who have profited from our demise. Make no mistake Lloyds knew all about Craig Whyte and knew what he was going to do. -

Do you not realise the only reason Craig Whyte ever bought us in the first place was because we faced a massive tax liability, we were of absolutely no use to him without it? -

Who's decision was it not to pay PAYE, NIC's and VAT ? Do you think HMRC should have just ignored what Craig Whyte was doing? Do you think it was some cunning masterstroke by Craig Whyte that Ibrox employees, good working people with mortgages to pay, food to put on the table were told that they probably won't receive their full pay this coming week and that they in all probability will immanently face the dole ? You're happy and content that Whyte has wrecked our club for the sole purpose of his own personal gain which will see him walk or rather run away pocketing skywards of £20m and all for an investment of £1 ? Face it you backed the wrong horse, you've put up a stout defence of the lying thief but now you're simply embarrassing yourself. -

He can however be blamed for taking the 20 pieces of silver from the financial rapist that is Craig Whyte despite being warned time and time again what was going to happen. The events of this week are 100% the sole responsibility of one man and one man alone. -
Wires have been crossed somewhere, for we seem to be arguing a point we already agree on  I was inferring that the Group gave up their charge to allow Close to recover their monies first and Close lead the Group in the queue to recover monies . I think it's circa £3m which was used to refurbish the catering outlets etc however RFC plc had already set aside the sum of £2m and Azure £1m to pay for the upgrades, which begs the question where did that £3m go and why the need to do the Close deal in the first place. Remember someone who'd been to Argyle House for lunch or something and was told of the impending upgrades and Azures part in it posting it on here long, long before it broke anywhere else.

They have an imminent meeting with Whyte have they not ? -
They are agreeing to Close's fixed charge ranking in priority the Groups floating charge are they not?

He can't have a definitive plan till he has a definitive picture of the financial vandalism Whyte has wrought. -
Mr Whyte is not known for telling the truth though in fact I'd go as far as to say that even under oath his version of the truth is "wholly unreliable"!
-
That is something that definitely merits further investigation from the appropriate Government body.

I wouldn't underestimate him unlike Whyte he carries some weight and respect in business circles. -
Don't forget Wulstan.
-
Banstead Athletic are a nothing club with a link to some of Craig Whytes business associates the Earley brothers Aidan and Wulstan who are cut from the same cloth as Whyte. Why would we give them a large six figure sum of money when we weren't even paying our employees PAYE and NIC's ?
-
I'm led to believe they are aware of it, still hoping they run with it and look closer at Banstead Athletic deal which is absolutely rotten to the core!
-
Close Leasing were working for themselves and they've been well rewarded. They are indeed. Think the question should be not who they were working for but who was Phil Betts working for? How can it be that an employee of RFC plc negotiating a deal on behalf of RFC plc can end up being paid by the company he was negotiating with to supply a service to RFC plc, it's bizarre and as blatant a conflict of interest as you will see. Given that the Ticketus deal was many, many times the size of the Close Leasing deal it makes you wonder what if the same procedure was used there too.
-
Shit if I'd looked up my own stuff could have saved myself some time:facepalm:
-
Of course you want proof here it is, apologies for the size! Hope this will suffice.
-
Because they knew what game he was playing.
-
It seems Phil Betts whilst a director of RFC plc secured himself a nice commission from Close Leasing (now the lead creditor ahead of Whyte) whilst acting in his role as a director of the Rangers Football Club plc. But why the need to do the deal in the first place as RFC and Azure had monies allocated to pay for the refurbishment of the catering facilities, makes you wonder where the money went? Makes you wonder if he did likewise on the Ticketus deal albeit on a far, far grander scale?
-
Whilst at the same time showing their utter contempt for Craig Whyte.
-
Some on here may not believe it but I laughed!
-
I wonder if they and the Insolvency Service will now go down an other route.
-
How smart and clever will Whyte look if the FTT don't rule against us (as remote a possibility as that may be).
-
Was it the club or the group as floating charge holder though ?
