  1. You should have joined the Dimplomatic Corp
  2. They have cast doubt on the validity of his security from day one but it's one thing talking about it and another thing to actually do something about it, I'd like to see some sign that they're actually actively trying to invalidate it rather than just talking about it.
  3. I would imagine any prospective buyer with the slightest background in sports related business would call Alastair Johnston long before they would call David Murray.
  4. For all intents and purposes we are a completely different business from the one Murray sold.
  5. A year too late we already upgraded the catering facilities!
  6. Why would any prospective owner take anything David Murray said seriously?
  7. Pretty much agree with your article save for this bit... Think you're being far to generous towards Murray, remember what he bought? at the time we were by far the biggest club in Britain not just Scotland but Britain and look to where he brought us to the very edge of extinction. Who had heard of Murray before he bought RFC ? very few outside the steel sector of the Scottish business community, we were nothing to him but a tool for boosting his oversized ego, when he'd had enough and obtained his knighthood he cast us aside in the manner that a child casts aside a broken toy. I keep seeing Murray described as a "businessman" but he's nothing of the sort he's merely a salesman, albeit consummate salesman at that but nevertheless a salesman not a businessman, now reduced to flogging plonk.
  8. I'm afraid it will take more than the meandering ramblings of Craig Whyte's former cheerleader in chief to persuade me of the merits of the BK's and Ticketus.
  9. Was just going to post the very same thing! I think (perhaps merely hope) that the BK's would not misjudge their constituency by that much for one second as to think that having such a divisive, corrosive figure as Dingwall anywhere near the board of RFC would bring anything other than trouble. It's not the SFA fit and proper test they have to worry about but rather the RFC fans fit and proper test. For one the bouncy bouncy cheques story will be on the front page of every paper. I have not been overly impressed with the BK's over the last week and they really need to up their game pronto.
  10. Didn't he make his fortune betting on the 2010 World Cup ?.....
  11. No, are you Craig Whyte?
  12. Bit like saying Harold Shipman was great for the NHS because he lowered the waiting list....
  13. There are over 60 "Ticketus companies", they are basically tax efficient investment vehicles for wealthy individuals. IIRC they have a fixed lifespan of 5 years (but stand to be corrected) which raises questions re the proposed BK deal. They seem to have disregarded their own business model in order to do the deal with Whyte. They are victims of their own greed and stupidity, I'm inclined to say f*&k em. I remain to be convinced that it's worth getting into bed with them, it may well be in our long term interest to be with them it's just that I can't see it at the moment.
  14. Were any members of the RFC plc board or any employees of the Murray Group or LBG who were involved with the sale process aware of Craig Whyte's ban as a company director prior to the completion of his takeover of RFC plc?
  15. Why did you just spend nine months regurgitating Jack Irvine's lies to the detriment of all those who care for RFC ?
  16. I'm afraid these piecemeal statements are doing more harm to their cause than good. It's no good making these statements without explaining the facts, they're just sowing the seeds of confusion when what's need is clarity. We've just had 9 months (more probably) of being kept in the dark like mushrooms, were lessons not learned?
  17. Oops didn't see it elsewhere....
  18. From Ticketus website. 9 March 2012 Statement on Rangers Football Club The â??Blue Knightsâ?, led by Paul Murray, today confirm that they are finalising an offer for Rangers Football Club (â??the Clubâ?) in partnership with fansâ?? representatives (from the Rangers Supporters Assembly, the Rangers Supporters Association and the Rangers Supporters Trust) and Ticketus (together, â??the Consortiumâ?). The members of the Consortium are united in their belief that a collaborative approach is essential in securing the Clubâ??s future through a CVA, thereby achieving a fair and fast resolution that will put the Club on a secure financial footing. Through a CVA rather than liquidation, the Club will benefit from being able to qualify for future European competition and access the significant revenues associated with this. Preserving this revenue stream, and the Clubâ??s 140 year old legacy, is paramount and in the best interests of all parties. Paul Murray said: â??I believe that the Blue Knights, working in collaboration with the fans and Ticketus, are able to deliver an attractive solution that will see the Club emerge from administration with a clear plan for the future that will bring the financial stability that the Club needs.â? â??We firmly believe that a CVA is the best way forwards and we are working hard to offer a solution that will enable this to happen. As the Administrators have stated, the alternative route of putting the Club into liquidation is much less attractive for creditors, supporters and players, with its capacity to destroy value. Under current UEFA rules, a football club is banned from European competition for three years in the event of liquidation. Taking this route would have a significant impact on Rangersâ?? future revenues and the overall financial viability of the Club, so it is something we want to avoid.â? Ticketus stated: â??We believe that the Blue Knights understand very clearly what needs to be done to stabilise the Club, and represent the most attractive long-term solution to Rangersâ?? financial situation. We are therefore backing their bid and will be an active partner, contributing to a successful outcome. We believe working alongside the Blue Knights and fansâ?? representatives offers the best chance of the Club surviving and becoming a viable business.â? The Consortium is confident that the Club can achieve financial stability through appropriate restructuring and the appointment of a new and experienced board with a sensible business plan. The Consortium have spoken to the Administrators today to tell them that they will be working together to buy the club out of the CVA process and will be meeting the Administrators to discuss the proposed deal in detail on Monday. The Consortium will continue to work with the Administrators as it finalises its bid in order to bring a swift resolution for the Club, its fans and employees. 19. I too am not 100% convinced, will need to see the finer points of any arrangement before we know for sure either way. Perhaps Ticketus are working on the basis that something is better than nothing, as long as any deal is in the greater long term interests of RFC plc then I'll be more content.
  20. They are to be congratulated for that.
  21. Think it's 100% correct, but has stumped me!
  22. Pritchards now in administration. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-17314070 http://www.citywire.co.uk/new-model-adviser/pritchard-stockbrokers-goes-into-administration/a573174?ref=new-model-adviser-latest-news-list
  23. Interesting article, John McGarry has been pretty accurate with what he's posted regarding our current difficulties, he was the first to state the Ticketus monies never entered RFC plc's bank and went straight from Collyer Bristow's to LBG. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2112398/Rangers-Administrator-seize-Craig-Whytes-shares.html Added link because the one at the bottom of the OP was working.
