  1. Never met a bank manager with that particular virtue!
  2. Certainly more important than trying to patronise the fans with talk of a share issue, the prospectus would certainly make interesting reading. I wish Green would just show him the deeds and end this particular side show once and for all.
  3. Oh dear, that'll be fun.
  4. Doesn't matter who runs it, it won't be doing much trade if it can't process DD's and CC's.
  5. You'd think he would be concentrating on more pressing matters at present like being able to process DD and CC payments. Have to agree with Bluedell a share issue this early would be suicidal and smacks of desperation.
  6. If Green wasn't aware the players could and would walk away then it was a major f*&k up by him, let's face it he's criticising the players for doing exactly the same as he's doing trying to make filthy lucre out of the situation no more no less.
  7. Green tried to play it tough with the players it backfired big style, these things happen. It's not as if it hasn't been telegraphed often enough as to what would happen.
  8. I have one of those.....
  9. Doesn't read like an interview with a man that was 'railroaded in to something against his will'.
  10. ... or just a Celtic fan in disguise? http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/scottish/the-rangers-quiz-are-you-genned-up-on-gers-plight-7901839.html
  11. Depending on your view it was either an infantile childish prank or a capital crime....

  13. I don't doubt where you're coming from but the very act of putting aside their own beliefs for the greater good does require integrity to be compromised that shouldn't be taken as indictment on those doing so it's just a side effect of the process. There comes a time we all have to put integrity to the side but that in itself doesn't make us bad people.
  14. If the latter was paramount then there would have to be a new cabinet every time somebody disagreed with a decision witness both the Tories and LibDems throwing their integrity our of the window when they jumped into bed together. Integrity is a noble virtue but as we're seeing on a daily basis those claiming it are merely paying it lip service.
  15. The latter has to be sacrificed for the former to work.
  16. What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, if such an amnesty is granted then surely we must be the first to benefit from it.
  17. It's not per se, a sale and leaseback could provide a very, very healthy rate of return over quite a long term a securitisation of that income could provide a very, very healthy instant return.
  18. Not for a second doubting their integrity and apologise if the question could have been construed as so. It was meant to be more along the lines of by being both on the RFFF committee and by virtue of being paid employees of the club a perception (whether real or imagined) of them having a conflict of interest. As you have stated the original remit has expanded far beyond what was originally intended. Oh how much simpler would life be if we had one proper fans organisation....
  19. I think they could achieve a very decent annualised rate of return on their investment if they want to achieve that, it's cold harsh cash that will decide rather than a romantic attachment to a football club, business is business.
  20. No I assumed when you said sell the assets that you meant sell everything in the same way as they bought everything in a job lot.
  21. True, but by the same token should there be paid employees of the club on the RFFF?
  22. Who's advocating a blind mistrust?
  23. I imagine Green will cut of it's funding ergo effectively killing it.
  24. Of course they'd get a return on selling the assets allied to the fact that the inbuilt structural deficit has virtually vanished overnight.
  25. If they simply followed the correct procedure and sent out fresh mandates then they could have avoided a self-inflicted injury, the way they have acted looks amateurish, rushed and sloppy. I think those who cancelled, had written confirmation from the Ticket Office and had notified their bank have every right to feel pissed off. I think "steal" is a bit harsh I'm more inclined to view it as a genuine f*&k up, act in haste repent at leisure and all that, anyway if the money was taken out without the appropriate authority the account holder would have received an instant refund according to the direct debit guarantee (well in theory anyway).
