Add it to what they thought they'd get for the players (on the bizarre notion that they all TUPEd over!) and get a free RFC !

Rangers legend Sandy Jardine's relishing a bright future at club
forlanssister replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Sandy managed to keep his mouth firmly shut all the way through Whyte's tenure (alas he was far from alone). -

Follow Piers MorganVerified @piersmorgan @campbellclaret if #Guardian is so keen on newspaper crimes, it should start with its own Prof Greenslade and the £1m Spot The Ball fraud. -
Whilst McKay has been very pleasing on the eye and a ray of light in the darkness I find myself more impressed overall by Lewis McLeod.

International scoring average of 1 every 3, not the worst !........

Read it for 30 years, stopped the day they had a front page with the picture of a coffin with the Rangers crest on it being lowered into the ground a few months back. -
Which begs the question, why the headlong rush to a floatation before a set of accounts ever sees the light of day?
-
Pardon those of us who doubt Green's ability to walk on water eh ?

David Templeton?......

Showing respect to the fans my arse, they've got contracts they want honoured (absolutely f*&k all wrong with that). Green wanted his cake and too eat it some players had a similar attitude, why praise one and condemn the other? Seriously how could we have spent any less than we did? What SFL journeymen did we sign? About as far fetched as giving up prize money or accepting an illegal ban?
-
And being a Scottish Second division player as opposed to being a Scottish Third division player is going to make the world of difference to that happening eh? He's spent as little as he could get away with. What "methods" am I suggesting ? A SPL (or top flight rather) club would fetch more than a third tier club would it not? Not a single "investor" has any emotional tie to the club they're only interested in cold hard cash and simply want to maximise their return (it's called Capitalism) and if surrendering titles is going to harvest more cash then they will do so that's just the way it is.
-
The departures of Goian, Bocanegra (albeit even temporary) and Edu clearly show what Green had planned re TUPE. Had Green gained the SPL prize money and had all the players been TUPED over then his "investors" would have already had over 100% of their "investment" returned, wonder if they'll sue Duff & Phelps for that particular f*&k up. Green's motivation as he has been open enough to state on numerous occasions is simple, to make money, he'll be well satisfied with a transfer window where he has a surplus on dealing and a lower wage bill safe in the knowledge that he'll be sitting in his farm in Devon counting his (our?) cash by the time it comes for Rangers to spend in the transfer window comes round again. Don't be the slightest bit surprised if Green surrenders out titles because if he thinks it's in his masters financial interest to do so then it will be done.

So when did you change your name from "The Searchers"?.......

Perhaps the system has removed tickets sold for tomorrow's game from those available and in fact there will be more available for season tickets after the game.

Interesting the constant references to transparency given that there's no clue as to those behind Rangers Unite on their own website. However agree re point number 4, the RST imo should have in theory been an appropriate vehicle for fan ownership (even in a limited capacity) but has been tarnished beyond repair by the constant infighting and "he said, she said" crap and the disastrous attempted takeover/merger of/with the RSA.

Is Ally the Man for the job? - The McCoist Thread
forlanssister replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
PLG only got knocked out of one cup, and didn't McCoist get knocked out by a first division team too? Does McLeish not hold the "worst run in Rangers history" honour? -
Article on Frank Lampard in Saturday's Times. Reminiscent of the Cantona and the Manchester United Youngsters (Beckham,Scholes,Giggs, the Nevilles et al) story. Unfortunately it's not available online so excuse any typos! It is a wet and windy afternoon in the mid 1990s and, at West Ham United's training ground the apprentices are packing up to go home. All except one. For Frank Lampard jr, as he is known at this time of his life, afternoons are for extra running sessions. And wet afternoons are even better since they allow him to extend his repertoire by slide-tackling an imaginary opponent. Lampards team-mates emerge from the changing room, dressed for the weather, and laugh out loud. one of them a much-heralded Scotland schoolboy player named Martyn Mullen, looks at him in disbelief and asks "What the f*** are you doing?" Lampard hesitates, stops and then, self-consciously, resumes--totally convinced that what he is doing is right, but embarrassed at being caught in the act. Lampard was 17 years old at the time. He and Mullen were equals. In fact, he regarded Mullen as his superior, much as he did Rio Ferdindand and Lee Hodges, let alone that precocious 14-year old called Joe Cole. He coveted their skills and envied their phtsiques. If he was to become their equal, let alone surpass them, it could only be through hard work.

Darren Cole is a centre back not a right back.
-
More like Green's.
-
The more things change the more they stay the same.
-
Paying off players ? Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
-
At least it has a bypass wish I could say the same for Elgin !
-
It may be drastic but in this case it's certainly appropriate !
