Don't know, there is a certain irony to it.

There's a reason why no seriously moneyed Rangers supporter has invested despite repeated and strenuous attempts by Green to get them to do so.

Time to stop pretending "it's them bloody foreigners"?

I doubt anyone will be able to top Lee McCulloch's dive at Stirling Albion last weekend. -

We're not exactly shy at inflating attendance figures either. -

No just that they factored in season ticket holders that didn't attend, percentage of the value of a season ticket is written down each game. Police figures will be turnstile clicks as opposed to tickets "sold". -
Perhaps but to truly compete then the contest must be like competing against like and that doesn't happen at the Paralympics.

My humour got me through my darkest days. On the contrary the inclusion and portrayal of Joe Swanson in Family Guy including when he is the butt of the joke is a far bigger positive than the voyeuristic saccharine sweet vomit inducing condescending farce that was the Paralympics. I struggle to see just what the context of your post was and what there was to take offence of. However it did not cause me any discomfort.

Could you change it to "Just rolling around" please, should have asked you do it when I asked for the avatar change.

I think it's self defeating, young 7 year old boy who sits beside me at away games freaks out at them his mother has to calm him down till the smoke disperses.

I think it must be you, I've been in a wheelchair for 30 years past August.

Who does he expect to get a fee from for Aluko from Hull or from Aluko himself ?.... We're entitled to development fees for McCabe, Ness and Fleck anyway, do you know if the cut of a future fee in respect of Fleck was in lieu of a development fee or in addition too?

I'm not questioning the validity of the use of "if", quite the contrary. Whether it's analogous or not will depend if STB's statement proves to be prophetic or not (which incidentally I hope it does).
-
It pertains to "if" being the operative word in the post I quoted.

Be interesting to see what value the market puts on it when the dust settles.

Indeed and if you look at the comments on the blog you'll see where it came from, I suppose the FT is a bit too up itself to have "Trigger's Broom" as a headline.

Aye if my Granny hid baws and all that.

Factor in the prize money and fees they expected to get then we wouldn't have cost them so much as a penny.

Not to mention the billionaires !!

If the issue isn't underwritten (which it doesn't seem to be) then they would probably remain unsold (initially anyway) if it is underwritten then they would be sold on the market which in all probability would cause a substantial fall in the share price as the underwriters try to minimise their exposure. Getting back to European football will take a minimum of 3 years during which time the club would require to be funded I may well be wrong but I cannot see how those 3 years could be anything other than heavily loss making. Seriously who else but the fans would be remotely interested in buying shares in a Scottish 3rd division football club? Remember when Green & Co bought us we were and they thought still would be an SPL club charging SPL prices and receiving SPL prize money et al. Your scepticism is not misplaced and is actually healthy.

Green must be on to about Plan L or M now which in fairness to him is not through his own making but he should know better than most (Kingsbridge, Panceltica, Sheffield United et al)caveat emptor. He did previously claim the issue would be underwritten but it's really no surprise that it now isn't as it would have been simply too expensive especially given current conditions both at the club itself and market conditions in general. My biggest concern at the time of the takeover was the ability and/or willingness of the investors to fund us till we were back in a better place, since we don't know the full ownership structure at present we don't know whether they have the ability or not but it now looks exceedingly like they don't have the willingness. Much has been made of the wage bill for playing staff being slashed but it doesn't appear there has been much done to attack other costs such as non playing staff, then there are the fixed costs attributed to running the club which cannot be cut (by much if by anything) rates, utilities, insurance etc. It will still cost basically the same as last season to stage a match at Ibrox but match day income will be much reduced due to lower ticket prices and hospitality uptake. As I've said before any prospectus should make for interesting but any fan investing reading would be doing so through emotion not logic. It remains to be seen whether the long term interests of Green & Co are mutually compatible with those of RFC nothing I've seen so far has convinced me they are.

Pritchett himself says it would have been better to let it pass. It's not as if we don't know why there's a headlong rush to float.
