McCoist knew months in advance that in all probability we would face a team well into their season and did absolutely nothing to counteract that against the express advice of the then fitness coach. My recollection is Malmo scored more than us and I have the same recollection of Maribor having had the misfortune to witness every minute of those 4 games in the flesh so to speak. Criticising those who cricticise McCoiist for his culpability in the disasters that were Malmo and Maribor, now that's overly harsh.

Graham Wallace receives a £25k wage increase as soon as we qualify for European football and given his bonus is 100% of basic wage he is entitled to a £25k bonus on top of the £25k wage increase. As soon as we're in the SPFL and in Europe Graham Wallace will cost us the very minimum of an additional £50k and in all probability an additional £100k per annum. When are you going to tackle that extremely onerous contract Graham?

    I don't think a tournament is even necessary. Two home preseason games against half decent clubs should be enough to harvest a 7 figure sum even in our present state that should be achievable.

    The value to Man City will simply be the same as every other club playing preseason friendlies, they play Hearts the following Friday. You'd do well to find a harsher critic of the board than me but the lack of an elite team at Ibrox for a preseason friendly this year is not an error of their making. The notion that even in our present diminished state we couldn't attract an elite team to Ibrox for a preseason friendly is simply ludicrous as the two examples above demonstrate.
