    No, as far as I'm aware he didn't sign a contract, the club having only a consulting agreement with his service company Lingur Ltd. Notice period is one month by either party though I expect that'll be waived.

    In fact they are sitting on every single penny the club is due from every single piece of Rangers merchandise since the deal with Sports Direct was signed. It's probably in the region of £4m cash that is rightfully Rangers money being withheld by Ashley for his own nefarious reasons.

    Seriously I think it's because some involved are on holiday, I don't think it's anything more sinister than some people being on holiday. I certainly hope that's the case.

    His association with the RST means there'll be a group who will be anti-Letham purely because of that. He's been trashed for months now in another place by certain directors spokesman. The crimes committed by David Murray against Rangers mean he's beyond redemption.

    I suppose out of those you mention McGregor is offering the most for his bucks. Isn't Daly out of contract at the end of the season or is it a case of even greater despair ?

    How many variations of the "he can only make money if we're successful" fairy story are you going to peddle before it finally clicks? King cannot prevent anything it's long past the stage of that being possible, our future is now in the hands of Ashley alone.

    You keep missing the point, Ashley won't be doing what's right for Rangers but what's right for Sports Direct, the maximum possible return for the lowest possible outlay. The prospect of laying out millions in the vain hope of an uplift in merchandise sales ain't going to happen as the risk return ratio is too great. Of course the Rangers support will still keep buying the merchandise earning him millions if the team were lingering in the Championship or lower half of the Premiership just as they did in the 3rd Division, 2nd Division and continue to do in the Championship. You watched the club being stripped blank by Green but you still forked out for a Rangers TV subscription didn't you? You think he hasn't already grabbed us by the balls? The only question is, how hard is he going to squeeze them?
