In his defence it appears to be just some Teutonic humour.

They have to make a profit on transfer dealings otherwise they run at a loss, Ashley's £130m loan may well be interest free but saving circa £8m in interest costs Newcastle circa £30m in lost commercial income. That's the model that works for Ashley at Newcastle why would he change it at Rangers.

The Easdales blazers come at a hell of a price.

If you want to believe it's speculation that the marketing and communication department is in rude health then do so. Anyone thinking Mike Ashley gives a flying f*&k how Irene Munro oversaw BH's removal from the RFB or even knows about it needs to increase the thickness of tinfoil in their hats.
-
You're taking the f*&king piss.
-
It's not speculation it's fact.

Read post #4 in the thread. When someone controls all the marketing and commercial activities then the commercial and marketing departments become superfluous, strangely enough a similar thing happened at Newcastle.
-
(a) I never said you did, but some coming on to the thread could have inadvertently reached that conclusion (b) the hatchet has been hanging over the commercial and marketing departments for months

Pray tell just how are thieves and vagabonds going to take us back where we belong?

Just so people are clear, there is absolutely no connection whatsoever in Irene Munro being made redundant and the removal of BH from the Rangers Fans Board.

I'm more concerned why Ashley wanted Wallace and Nash gone and his cronies installed aren't you?
-
Who's we ?
-
£45k in interest over six months as opposed to the cost of paying off Graham Wallace, which option do you think's the cheapest and in the best interests of all shareholders?
-
Yes an AGM, but it won't make a blind bit of difference if over 50% of the shareholders are acting in concert.
-
If they were acting in the interests of all shareholders as they are legally obliged to do then why not?
-
Probably because he wanted what was best for the club and not what's best for certain individuals connected to it.
-
How dare he try and protect the assets of Rangers from a bunch of unscrupulous c*&ts!

Ticketus got burned by their own greed it's as simple as that.
-
Not in their interests to let those on the previous board opposed to the sale know about it, but there was one member of the board with a personal pecuniary interest in the sale proceeding.
-
It was certainly to their mutual benefit.
-
At a RFC plc Board meeting the matter of a repayment of funds to Ticketus came up in relation to the transfer of Jelavic. Donald Muir took a great interest in the deal and spent a lot of time to ensure he fully understood it. Subsequently Whyte's interest stepped up.

That'll be the same Somers who told the AGM that he couldn't remember who appointed him. The same Somers who stated we should be grateful for Brian Stockbridge. The same Somers who claimed the fans protested against apartheid.

Cannot see it affecting our current status one iota. This part of the the nightmare is for all intents and purposes irreversible.
