Fairly easy to see the savings on your cost base if only the bare necessities TUPE over.
-
Most contracts will probably just state the statutory payments as laid down by the law of the land at the time, you'd have to be well up the tree to get anything different. If they're not there at the time of administration they can't TUPE over therefore they can rehire people at a lower rate than those jobs currently pay.
-
The way the ducks are being lined up you'd be forgiven for thinking they're gearing up for administration, this time round with all long term staff already paid off for the legal minimum there will be no one to TUPE over. Pre-pack anyone?

Matthew Wood appointed as Rangers Secretary
forlanssister replied to MoodyBlue's topic in Rangers Chat
We employ in-house Legal Counsel that should be well within his capabilities but in saying that through experience they don't seem that familiar with the finer points of the Companies Act . -
Matthew Wood appointed as Rangers Secretary

Couldn't possibly have a fan privy to the goings on though! Pretty sure that may well be an action to avoid being in breach of the Companies Act, perhaps the new NOMAD is actually doing its job. -

Requisitioner says Ally McCoist deserves full pay-off at Rangers
forlanssister replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
As much as I happily concede McCoist has to go and have suffered as much as anyone watching what he put out on the park. The Board's campaign to completely trash him is rather unedifying and unbecoming of what Rangers should be. Personally I hope he tells them to shove his contract up their arses and talks but I think that would be the least realistic outcome. -

At Rangers like in almost every other walk of life nowadays failure seems to reap it's own rewards. -

It's the Board who've jeopardised the wage cycle and not for the first time either. Wonder is the £400k is deferred wages and ergo no payment of his notice period means he can open his mouth? Or just spin from the usual source to try and get him out as cheaply as possible?

Royalties are payments based on items sold. It's been described as the worst merchandise in history from a clubs point of view ,I'd be amazed if SD haven't protected themselves.

Put it this way, I wouldn't describe it as a good deal for Rangers.

gunslingers link should tell you all you need to know http://www.investopedia.com/university/peratio/peratio1.asp Also it's important to realise that SD do not pay dividends but reinvest for capital growth instead so the P/E ratio is important to him, Ashley's shares in SD are currently worth just over £2 billion.

Think about how the club came to owe £411k to SD, it wouldn't be because SD are guaranteed a certain level of profit but the club are not would it?

49% of the royalty is my understanding.
-
Sports Direct are currently trading with a P/E ratio of 21.68. Ergo every million of profit SD extract from Rangers is worth £21.68m to the SD share price. Ashley owns 54% of SD ergo every million of profit SD extract from Rangers is worth circa £11.7m to Ashley.

That's just taken from the RFB minutes. It was Llambias who stated we'd receive a Rangers Retail dividend in December not Easdale. The Puma royalty should be £5.10 to Rangers and £4.90 to SD as the split should be 51/49 not 50/50, I did point that out and it was acknowledged in the meeting.

Like I said in another thread one political act to stymie another political act.
