Twofold, first I find the clamour for a "fan" on the Board rather bewildering as I don't know of any Board member who isn't a fan, do you? Secondly I view the main role of a Non Executive Director as providing a check and balance to the Executive and holding them to account if and when necessary and I didn't believe Chris Graham possessed the required experience (at least yet anyway) to carry out those duties on behalf of the shareholders. I believe someone like George Letham to be far more qualified and experienced in that arena. I'm not too fussed if the NED's are Rangers fans or not nor do I believe the fact they are should be held against them. To be honest the appointment of Chris Graham didn't cause me any sleepless nights nights and given what has transpired frankly my feeling is one of overwhelming sadness for it was our "own" who started the witch hunt. You may have put your pitch fork away for now but it's been well used over the last few years. Considering how long the Board have been in place it's a bit premature to claim they're not living up to their promise of transparency. As much as I desire the status of the RFB to be settled one way or another asap I can perfectly understand that it's not at the top of their list of priorities at the moment.

I didn't need to add anything together to get the right answer, see post #456. I too wish the appointment hadn't been made however my reasons are entirely different to your own. That could have been interesting given your hatred of our current Chairman seems to be the match of your hatred of Chris Graham.

Would like to think no Rangers fan did but Chris Graham's discomfort was something different all together.

Oh I imagine you were reveling in schadenfreude right enough.

One more season with him in a Rangers shirt will have me heading to the smoking room with a fat Cuban, a bottle of whisky and a revolver.

The right McCall, but an even bigger one awaits King in the summer
forlanssister replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
We are awaiting a response from the new board as far as I'm aware. a) Sorry don't know as yet. b) I think some of the RFB board are members are also members of the RST but not in any official capacity. Personally I'm not a member of either but wish them both well in their endeavours. -

We need to do now what we should have done 3 years ago, I don't believe McCall is anything other than a short term fix. -

EGM Result: King resolutions pass with 85% of vote
forlanssister replied to Bluedell's topic in Rangers Chat
The minutes were released in error there is little doubt about that and I bear my share of responsibility (even though I never wrote them or had access to the Facebook page) for that as does the secretary but no one will ever convince me what happened was wrong. -

It is my view Leach knew exactly what he was doing and expected his comments to get out though not in the manner they did. -

Stuart McCall officially confirmed as new Rangers manager
forlanssister replied to chilledbear's topic in Rangers Chat
I digress we need to start seriously looking for the right manager who can change the whole culture and ethos of the football side now, McCall may well be a decent short term solution but we need to get away from that ilk for the Club to prosper longer term. -

It's pretty f*&king clear who got the raw deal in the Easdales plan to ingratiate and attempt to legitimise themselves in Scottish society. They allowed themselves to be taken in, used by and eventually f*&ked over firstly by the man you yourself anointed saviour of Rangers and again by Ashley and all the time to the detriment of Rangers, but the one that really f*&ked them over is their "family spokesman" who must be absolutely pissing himself that he's found such a cash cow in Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber. Claiming they're not badly intended is a bit like claiming Harold Shipman always put his patients welfare first.

Personally absolutely delighted that John Bennett has been appointed to the Board of Rangers. Not fussed either way re Chris Graham. Brahim if I were a former client of yours I'd be disconcerted to think that your concern for the welfare of their investments ceased when the commissions dried up. For those of you not around at the time here's some links to the original John Bennett threads when we were in our darkest hours and need of serious investment...... http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?42094-John-Bennett-Withdraws-from-The-Blue-Knights-Consortium http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?40487-UPDATE-Conversation-with-Mr-John-Bennett-(Blue-Knights) -
